I had a rather interesting shopping trip yesterday. Wearing my usual around the house outfit of a skort, panties and bra with forms, a deep v-neck knit top, and sandals to show off my red toes, I was doing some clean up and small repair jobs. Found I needed some items from Home Depot so off I went. No make-up or wig, just a man in a skort with noticeable breasts!:heehee: Got a few "looks" walking in to the store but nothing else. Talked to 2 SA's trying to locate the items I wanted and again no problem.

Then when I went to check out, the fun started. The lady SA started ringing my stuff up all the while looking me over. After a few minutes she turned away and called to another SA some distance away. When he came over to her, she turned to talk very quietly to him and they both glanced at me. Then he went off and soon came back with 2 other SA's. The four of them all talked together while looking at me and smiling. I never said anything, just smiled back at them.I knew by their looks that they were sizing up my outfit and must have been wondering about me. I admit, I did look very feminine the way I was dressed!

I have gone out in public that way many times, and never had that kind of reaction before. Kind of sorry I didn't have a dress on!!:heehee:

Just who was being a spectical?? IMO they were and I am sure the Home Depot home office would be less than happy about thier behavour. Seems to me you have the right to dress how you please to an extent when you are clearly a customer making a purchase

Did they have a sign on the door saying not to CD in thier store? I'm sure Not, All I ever see are signs saying shoes and shirt required.. and you said you had that on so where is the problem.. I bet you made thier day.

That could have went sooooo bad. Someone from in the store could have followed you and started something in thee parking lot. Probably would have went better if you atleast tried to look the part. Ie, wig, make-up etc. I never would have done that. You are just asking for trouble. Just my :2c:

Of all places, HD would seem like the most unfriendly place you could pick. Goes to show you maybe it is not so bad out there after all. Or is it maybe this good just in Atlanta?

The SAs you describe do not surprise me. And knowing what I know about HD, I am not sure management would give a hoot.

Probably true. As a not-interested-in-passing lover of feminine attire, I find it strange that someone who goes "all the way" is considered less eccentric than someone who wears a jeans skirt and nail polish.
