View Full Version : Problem wearing shorts or skirts
hey everyone ive been gone for a while but im back (hopefully) but i recently told my friend a gg about me dressing and she has no problem with it. we go out shopping every weekend. so much fun but the best part is we wear the same size clothes, but anyway to my original question. i had broken my leg about a year ago and had surgery, which left a scar on my knee and in the middle of my shin there is like a little bump from where the bone healed so should i wear shorts and skirts or is there a way to kinda hide the scar because i like to wear short skirts. also does anyone have advice for hiding a scar on my neck, most people dont seem to notice which is amazing to me cuz it is hideous but anyway thanks for any help!!! lots of love from shay

Simple question ... If you were a GG, and you had these skin issues, would that stop you from wearing shorts or a skirt? I think not, so go for it.

Have you considered a concealer type of makeup? Este Lauder makes some quite "heavy duty" stuff that might work. I know the idea of "makeup" on your legs sounds strange but it's worth a try.

I have never tried dermablend (a camouflage type of makeup - one for the face, one for the body), so am not going by experience.
This is designed to cover up scars. Guys also use it to cover up beard shadow. I have heard that it is good (but expensive).
When the weather gets hot, everyone should wear a skirt.

well like they say above dermablend or some similar type product would probably work---if not or if you want to go some other route try long hair for the scar on your nectk(or a choker type necklace) and long skirts or short skirts with boots for the scar on your leg---also black support hose, either panty hose or thigh highs, which are thicker and darker than regular hose, tend to do the trick.

I agree! So many folks, GG's included, go for extreme sports these days. Accidents happen, I think I'd try to take pride in my body as much as possible and put on the skirt.

I wasn't going to say anything, but then I changed my mind.
I understand that you may be embarassed or ashamed of you legs and want to cover them. Believe me, I understand.
Long ago and far away, I was sevearly burned and scarred for life. I've tried many foundations, cover-ups, spray on hose, spray and lotion tanning. Anything to try to get my legs, to look "normal".
Then one day, I said the heck with it, I'm going out, funny looking legs and all. So I put on a skirt and a smile and went out into the real world.
After all, I'm pretty, inside, and if someone can't see that, maybe I don't need to know them.
So, Shay, my advice is to see and feel your own beauty, then go out into the world and have fun.

Why not wear shorts or a skirt. GG have leg injuries that cause scars. My S/O had a severe leg injury causing a major scar on her shin. No big deal.

Oh heck, go for the best of both, get a skort. Then you have a skirt with a pr of shorts attached....BJ
ps.. That way the boys can't see up your skirt...;-)

Giggle, when I find skorts on sale, I buy two matching ones. Then cut the lining out of one and make a skirt out of it.

I have two scars, one on each knee where I went through ACL surgery 25 years ago, need less to say they are both 6 inches or longer...so when i do wear skirts, or shorts I just have to let them show.
I wouldn't worry to much...

My wife has sports scars... she isn't worried about it, and frankly, neither am I , since she is beautiful from the inside out.

Hi all,
I have a scar from chest surgery, that shows in low cut tops. So what?
Lots of ladies have those, so it isn't a big deal.
I do use dermablend or cover creme to help even out my skin when I go out, if you set it with the powder, it doesn't mess up your clothes, otherwise it will get all over your clothing...
I tried the Dermablend leg cover makeup.... It was messy and streaked, I had to apply it twice to get it even, then it took FOREVER to get off. Ruined a washcloth!!
Otherwise .... Now I just leave the scars show!! If you don't draw attention to them, no one else will either!
