Hold on dear - don't forget the difference in time zone - i'm on UK time and just got back - WHAT A BUZZ!!!! I DID IT!!!!

Took about an hour getting dressed and madeup - think i did a pretty good job - knew exactly what i was going to wear but makeup is still a bit hit and miss at the moment! Not that brave so had to get off the estate first - thought i could get away with shoes and jeans with a bulky fleece and no wig. makeup prolly not spotted by the neighbours!

Drove to a quiet layby -whipped off my top, halfway into wig when a local taxi driver decided to stop - quick exit, next layby, someone else decided to stop!! would u believe it! Drove into Plymouth and into Drake Circus (malls are still not that common in UK), knees knocking as got out of car and into shopping area. walked quickly through and up the road a little bit to Westward Bound (Fetish Shop)- they have no problem with CD so start with friendly face. Lauren was very supportive - loved the look, advised on deportment, confidence and smile - and took a piccy. Then walked back into mall and had a more leisurely stroll round - getting more into it by now - confidence growing by the minute and nobody really noticing. a few double takes but this might be because i looked absolutely stunning (even though i say it myself) - kept admiring myself in mirrors in various shops. felt really at home in the girlie departments - much more natural than a bloke, didn't buy anything - maybe next time.

Then went and got a coffee and a baguette for lunch in the cafe - that was the hardest part - felt very conspicuous and nervous and attracted a lot of attention. oh well - just get on with it!! ok when sat down eating, afterwards more window shopping, back to the car and home without getting involved with difficult issues such as which bathroom and changing room!! then more pics - glad i didnt wear the leggings - before back into drab and the adventure over.

gagging to do it again and determined to be a bit bolder next time!!!! Thanks girls for all your support. I guess most of you have been there and know what it feels like the first time! When I can figure out how to, I'll post some pics - perhaps someone could advise?

love

Mitch

Congradulations!
You go girl!
You've made it over the hump and from now on it smooth sailing.
I remember my first time (See my post subject My first time out). I was nervous, but had a reat time. After recently doing my second official outing (See subject A day that's twice as nice) I wasn't really nervous at all and it was such a great time.
I can't wait to do my third, fourth, fifth, sixth......etc.

First a big cyber hug to all the girls that gave me so much encouragement - without it i wouldnt have got out of the door.

Second - sorry i haven't been able to post the piccies as promised - i have read the FAQ and nearly got there but i think my Jpegs are too big. when i have a spare couple of hours i'll try to suss it out - we are only allowed 97k and mine are 150k.

Best bit was walking round, perfectly at ease with myself, browsing through the girlie departments and feeling totally invisible and one of the girls. Worst bit was standing in line and direct eye contact with people one to one close up as i bought things. Felt like a bloke in a dress with a thousand eyes on me. they probably werent but thats how it felt. And the buzz when i got home - indescribable! and a couple of blisters from my shoes the only lasting damage!

Next outing is to a support group in exeter - again my first. i have permission from SO and hope to meet with new friends there - maybe i can go shopping with some of them!
