Huh? I'd say there had to be some parental influence at work there MJ. Little pitchers have big ears. Kids don't usually come out with things like that unless they are prompted. Sounds like a "rat in the attic" to me. I hope things stay cool but just be prepared and don't let it rattle you. Things like this are based on nothing but ignorance. God forbid people actually try to get to know you as a person. Hang in there and hope for the best, Hon.:hugs:

The best way to ruin someones fun is to not be embarrassed. Smile and let them know you are not afraid. But since they are kids, I would not retaliate, even verbally.

Oh, just so ya know- you haven't done anything illegal or wrong. No one can make ya move.

You probably know that. But just in case ya don't.

I so agree with Melissa. Sis, you've done nothing wrong. You don't have to move and don't these silly children or their parents force you into doing so. :hugs:

MJ, canada is a reasonably tolerant community, although you may be in a more blue collar neighbourhood which may not be. You also have the option of calling the school principal and chatting with them. It might be an opportunity to keep in touch with the community around you. All the best.
