View Full Version : Divas Las Vegas, Day One

It was Saturday, April 21st and I was packed; over-packed, really... three suitcases, one garment bag, makeup case, jewelry case, toiletries bag and computer case. I was glad I was driving a truck! The trip from Southern California was lonely (my wife would fly up later in the week) but uneventful. I arrived at the Sahara in Las Vegas around 4:30 PM and the first person I saw was Cheryl, one of the valet parking attendants that I have known for years and who loves Holly and HTGurl. I knew I was where I wanted to be. I was in my room and my bags were delivered by 5PM. Three hours later, I had all the clothes either hung up in the closet or folded and put away in drawers, the bathroom set up, my makeup out, my jewelry arranged, and my scented candle lit, filling the room with a refreshing sea scent.

It was time for a leisurely shower and some serious personal grooming efforts. Forty-five minutes later I was soft and smooth. Now for some fun! First some foundation, now a few highlights and some contouring and a bit of color for the cheeks. Now set it all with some powder and blend with a brush. So far so good. Now let's get those eyes popin'! Wearing blue tonight so let's get some blue shadow, dark in the crease of the eye and some highlight just above the brow bone. A little extra attention to the eyeliner for a bit more nighttime drama. Almost done... now for the hair. Slip on my wig and gently guide the hair into place. Yes, that's it; some spray to hold it all in place. Now pull on my jersey skirt and top and feel them caress my body as they fall into place... yummy. Those black heels will look very nice with this so on my feet they go. Next I pick out some earrings, a necklace, and a bracelet, oh, and my watch. One last check in the mirror... everything is in place. I grab my purse, head out the door and down the elevator to the lobby.

Once downstairs, it's all smiles as I walk through the lobby, across the casino and into the hotel coffee shop. The hostess greets me and seats me in a booth. I order an iced tea and a chicken and cheese quesadilla. It's been a rather long day and I'm a bit hungry. The drink and food comes and I enjoy it, although I miss having some to share it with. The waitress is friendly and attentive and makes sure that I have enough to eat and drink. Shorty she brings the bill. I open my purse to get some money to leave a tip. I discover that I don't have any small bills. Oh well, I can get some change from the cashier.

As I get up to leave the booth, something incredibly embarrassing happens... the heel on one of my shoes catches the hem of my skirt and as I stand, my skirt is pulled instantly to the floor. So there I am with my skirt at my feet standing in my pantyhose and pantie. And yes, there were other diners in the adjacent booths and tables. OMG! So what is a girl to do? What else could I do? I reached down, grabbed my skirt and pulled it back up into place. Then I held my head high and calmly walked out to the cashier to pay my bill and get change for the tip. The last thing I wanted to do was to walk back into the dining area to leave some money for the waitress but she didn't deserve to be penalized for my embarrassment. So again, I held my head up as I walked back in and left a generous tip on the table I had just abandoned moments before. To my relief, no one paid any attention, or at least it appeared that way to me.

I left the coffee shop and headed out to the casino. I sat at one of my favorite Keno machines. Twenty minutes later and $40 poorer, I headed to the Blackjack tables. I found an empty seat at a table where four gentlemen were already playing so I joined them. Things went much better there. I played for two hours and left the table with more than I started with. It's a little after midnight and it has been a long day, so I head for my room. I take off my clothes and jewelry and put on a nightgown. Off comes my makeup, then a deep cleansing and a nighttime moisturizer. It's almost 1AM as I crawl under the covers. It's been a long day. But I managed to get through one of the most embarrassing situations of my life, pretty much none the less for wear. (And no, there are NO pictures:o ). Tomorrow is church and later i the day, the first of my two little sisters and SO's will be arriving. Must get some sleep now. Day one is over of eight days of full time girl time. No need for dreams... this week I'll be living my dream.

Quite a start to your time in Vegas Holly. I really wish I could have attended Diva's this year but it wasn't to be. I guess there's always next year

I am glad that your little accident was not too traumatic of an experience! It sounds like you handled it well. We expect nothing less of our CD mom. :) Keep the thread going as your week progresses. I think it is great that you will have a full week of pleasure en femme! :hugs:

I have a request: Tell us what (and where) was the worst and best things you ate during the trip!

Hi Holly,
I'm glad that you are having a good time despite the skirt mishap. I didn't have my skirt come all the way down, but I had to hold on to one when I got up from dinner one night and it started to head for the floor!
I have done the whole girl thing for three days in a row, but I think that 8 days would just wear me out!
