First question, Do you have health insurance? If so, what kind?
Hang in there, there might be. :hugs:

I think the first step is to slow down some and develop your plan to change. It is during those desparate moments that we tend to make those extra wrong decisions that may negatively impact ourselves and possibly those nearest to us. I don't know the sources of help for you, but rushing into hormonal treatments without medical and phsychiatric care is a very risky step. Listen to your sisters here who have been down that road before. They have the experiences to help guide you and to help you to avoid those nasty pitfalls that may befall you. Good luck and keep your communication line open with your friends here.

Do listen to MJ, and aluchi. what they say is right. Self medication is a dangerious thing to do. Heart problems, blood clots (DVT), any number of things that can cost you big time. It is cheaper go through the right chanels, and under a doctor's care. There are free clinics, or low cost clinics, designed for people with little or no money, look for ones that are LGBTQ friendly, and offer free HIV testing, these are usually good indicators, and generally can be of some help. Other places to look, or contact is any of the LGBTQ centers in Houston, they will be gald to steer you in the right direction for a clinic. Many of the clinics can also help you with low cost meds as well. I am sure that many here will know the Texas area better than I do.
You never did say if you have health insurance or not.

I would put in my 2 cents and say don't bother with the over the counter meds that claim to make you have more estrogen in your body. It would take way too high a dose for you to see hardly any benefits, and when I first tried "phytoestrogens" I realized it was going to set me back way more than me going to a doctor and get the real deal prescribed.
But the comments above place the importance in the right place. Do not attempt to self medicate because you could end up hurt in the end. What would it profit you if you self medicate to feminize yourself only to die of a bloodclot?
