Same here Rose...

Size 8 here is equivalant to "size zero". Size 12-14 is about the norm in the UK, I can fit a size 12 skirt sometimes, but more often than not I'm a 14. Tops.....

Yuk, mainly a 16.

In case anyone is unaware, here is a UK/US size "conversion chart"

comparison between UK and international sizes.

Women's Clothing Sizes
UK 8 10 12 14 16
US 6 8 10 12 14
Continental 36 38 40 42 44
Japanese 7 9 11 13 15
Bust 32" 34" 36" 38" 40"
Waist 24" 26" 28" 30" 32"
Hip 35" 37" 39" 41" 43"

Oh well, it won't come out quite right, but I hope you get the drift, and I hope it may help?

Size 1? Size 8? WOW. I feel good that I can wear a 14 now instead of an 18. Who knows, maybe one of these days I'll get down to an 12 :)

We seem to have gone off topic! Well done for getting the courage to buy clothes for yourself! It is such a rush the first time, now you will keep going back for more and more! Next step is trying them on in the shop and then going dressed! Good luck, you'll have so much fun, I do! Bad news for the finances though :heehee:

Cool, I don't have any places to suggest shopping, at your size. But keep it up, it does get easier. I too wear a size 1&8 or sometime a size 1&6. That's why I shop at Lane Bryant. :tongueout
This morning the wife asked me to go to Sall'y Beauty Supply. She needed some detangler, and I told her I wanted to get more wig shampoo. They weren't real busy, so I asked if they did foundation matches, she said for you? I said yes and she took me to the makeup area and did the match on my hand, and then asked if I wanted her to try my face. She did that and I bought that too. Remember you have money to spend, and those stores want all of it they can get. That's why you read of the gurls trying on clothes and the SA will bring other items for them to try on, in the hopes for a bigger sale. That's business.....BJ
