There have been a fair number of threads on coming out to your SO's but clearly for many there were a lot of hurdles along the way afterwards, some to acceptance, others divorce and some to a form of silent balance.

So my question is to those who have told their partners but where it has been an ongoing issue afterwards what problems did you face, what did you try and what worked and what didn't?

before I fully accepted Carin were:

my own sexuality

my own feminity

my aggravation of always having to *hide* (from the kids, from the world)

my initial dislike of being married to someone I didn't really know nor care to know at that time

the lack of support (I felt very alone and ashamed of our situation)

overwhelmed

anger at being *duped* (even though carin did not do so intentionally)

betrayal (again unintentional)

broken promises (unintentional, blah, blah)

nail polish

wearing a bra during the day

wearing womens (androgynous really) clothing on an every day basis.

both ears pierced

long hair

all over body shaving

That pretty much covers it I think! I will add more as I remember.

My SO has somewhat accepted the idea about my CD'ing, she don't agree with it but she lets me do it anyway.she always call me ahead of time if the kids are coming over, because they don't know it yet,as least i don't think so,i know my oldest boy knows i wear women's underwear.AS far as issues she thinks i spend to much money on women's clothes.
