I just received an email message this morning. Years ago I belonged to a local organization, TGEA, the Transgender Education Association. Anyway, I left because of marital/TG problems. No surprise there. Anyway, I wrote to them yesterday about returning. It looks like I can be reinstated.

YAY!!!!!!!!

The next meeting is in a week. I've got a lot of things to do in the next few days. :D

Fantastic news Stephanie I'm so happy for you. Who knows there might be some faces there from the time you last visited.

Quite clearly from the YAH !!!!!!!! you're looking forward to going and I wish you the good luck you rightly deserve.

Thank you Julie, Melissa, and Holly!

At the moment I'm at work, programming and posting here inbetween. Also, I'm starting to do the final shopping needed for next weekend. Here are a couple little numbers I'll probably get. The sleeveless one is for warmer days (it's just above freezing right now), but I thought it was so cute I'd get it now. :p

Thanks Noel, Fallen Angel, Priscilla, and Jessica! Will keep you posted.

I just ordered the two dresses, and expect (okay, HOPE) to wear the one with sleeves next Saturday. I still need a few more things by then, but it's not much of a problem. The worst part will be getting my wife to come through on this.

Just wanted to add my voice to the others, Stef - I'm glad for you. We have talked and I know you have been through some bad times, but you are still persevering, and that is great!

Thank you Sharon, Tristen, Danette, Wendy, SilkenPrincess, and Chrissie!

Here's the status.

The dresses are on order. They should arrive by Friday. If not, I'll be spending a few extra buckos at the mall. I'm going on Saturday en femme, not in drab!

I AM going on Saturday. Yes! I have a hotel reservation for Saturday night so that I can attend en femme and return en femme. I'll go home on Sunday. Weekend rates at nice hotels are often fairly low. Tracy is good with this so far. Frankly I'm waiting for everything to deteriorate, but for now all looks good.

Clothing is still a bit dodgy. I no longer have my "butt". No Tristen, I really didn't work it off, but my Classic Curves also departed in The Purge last September. That's okay. The knit dress has a billowy enough skirt such that it shouldn't matter too much for now. While on the subject of prosthetics, I need to make a pair of breast forms. I'm "thrifty". Birdseed boobs work just fine. Sure I'd love silicone, but $10 vs $300 isn't even close when I need to rebuild an entire wardrobe. I've already got the kneehighs for it, and - believe it or not - there's a bird shop in the nearby shopping center.

Shoes will need to be adrogynous. I've some good penny loafers that will do just fine. I need to get pumps eventually. With the weather around here anyway, pumps aren't likely to be terribly safe.

The last item for Saturday will be either a full slip or half slip and camisole. God I miss wearing those things.

Ooops, I need lipstick too. I've got a list of things to do and get.

I'll believe it when it happens. I'll also keep you all informed. I'll even bring the digital camera.

Looks like Cinderella's going to the ball.

Now don't go doing that Wendy! We don't have time for a cleanup. Just dressup.

Thanks Kirsti!

Actually I am hoping to see some old friends. One person I know is still there, and I'm hoping especially for one other.

Been in Hampton, Stephanie. Missed the good news!

Congratulations!

I'm still thinking about joining TGEA. A number of Tgirls I've met online, and a couple in real, are members.

Thanks DonnaT!

Lots of things can go wrong between now and then, BUT things seem to be coming together. Tracy seems to be okay with it, as long as Alice is unaware of what her Papa is doing. It would appear my worst obstacle could be the weather. I'll include the latest forecast at the bottom of the message with Saturday highlighted in red. Imnsho, the wx will probably be fine. It's 5 days until Saturday, and there are probably so many errors in Saturday's forecast at this point as to be unreliable.

Will let you know my impressions on TGEA, including a view on how I remember it from 7 years ago. Didn't you go to their Christmas/Holiday party? How was that?

Cheers!!!!

I went to the party. Talked to a couple of the club's leaders (president, etc.) and to another Tgirl from the CD-F forum SharonRose.

I was late getting down to the dinner from dressing due to inexperience and traffic. My wife was there so I didn't mingle much. No one offered to introduce me around either, but that's understandable at such an event. Hopefully they are more open at meetings.

The drag show was great.
