My wife and I are getting away from the kids and going to Vegas in 2 weeks. She has agreed to help me get dressed and try going out with me.

I've been out many times by myself, but so far my wife has only heard stories. She has seen me dressed around the house, but not so much recently as the kids are getting older.

I am really looking for some good advice on where we should spend our night out in Vegas. It is like so important to me that this night goes well. I was thinking of going out dancing and maybe to dinner before? I haven't been to Vegas in years. My current thought is going to either Suede or Gypsy.

I would like to go to a fun and safe place where we both could have a good time. Any recommendations would be awesome.

thanks!!

Julie

Oh, you lucky girl!! I'm sure you won't have a problem finding a friendly venue, as I expect most places would fall into that category (sorry, I don't know Vegas at all either:o ). I do hope you have a wonderful girls night out with the Mrs.! What a treat! Do let us know how it goes, maybe even with a pic or two. xoxo Tammi

Julie, I just recently got back from Las Vegas. Suede is a very friendly (and safe) place to go. But in all honesty, I have never had a bad experience in Vegas. As for where to go for dinner... what kind of food do you and your wife like? You can go just about anywhere you want. The key is to dress to blend in. After dinner, if you decide to go to a club, you can kick it up a notch or two if you want ;).

HI Julie:
Welcome to Las Vegas.
There are so many things to do here. Holly mentioned Suede and it is a great place to go to. They are closed Sunday to Tuesday. If you like dancing there is Krave and Gypsy. As far as food there are so many places to go to. If you let me know what your preferences are, I can give you some advice.
I am attaching a link to our newsletter. There is a monthly write up on local restaurants and our experiences.

As for gambling any strip casino will welcome your money whether you are dressed or in drab.

If you are looking to shop or other cd friendly places I am also attaching a link that should prove invaluable

What dates will you be here?

Both you and your wife are invited to join our Tri-Ess chapter when we go out to dinner . If you are interested please get back to me. If I can help in any way let me know.

Julie,
Let us know how it goes. My wife and I will be there at the end of June with intentions of going out ourselves. Good luck and have a good time!

Thanks for all the great advice. Looks like we are planning to go out either Wednesday or Thursday. We are currently planning to go to either Suede or Gypsy (or both!).

Does anyone know if there is a difference between what these clubs are like on either of these days?

And as for a restaurant, if we could find one where I feel comfortable and am treated well, I really wouldn't care what they served me!

thanks again,

Julie

If you like you should go to the glamour boutique and see Amy and get a makeover right there in her studio before you go out on the town, plus she will take pictures of you, it is well worth it.

Gypsy is a dance club. Suede is a restaurant. Both are owned by the same person. Suede is open from Wednesday to Saturday nights. They should not be crowded on either night.

If both you and your wife would like to join us on a Wednesday night let me know.

Can't give advice as I haven't been there when I could dress, but am interested in what you two do end up doing.

Don't know if this idea would work for you or not, but at least for others going to Vegas this place does drag shows Fri's & Sat's:

As others have mentioned, Glamour Boutique is a quality service store ( there used to be an L.A. one ).
