I've purchased from Bosom Friends and, from my (sadly) limited usage of the forms so far I would certainly recommend them.
They are not silicone though, they are some sort of soft jelly/rubber-like substance, no liquids at all or anything like that.
As far as how real they are, I suspect that more expensive forms, silcone-based for example, may be more realistic overall but I think the Bosom Friends ones are close enough for most use and I am certainly impressed and very pleased with the ones I bought.

My SO has had two pairs from Bosom Friends and has been really pleased with them, they were also very helpfull and quick when the wrong size was ordered.

I purchased a pair of "Pals" on ebay for a lot less, about $50. These look like much the same thing.
I like my Pals a lot, but cannot say I love them, they are not attachable and are somewhat cold on outside [they don't warm as you wear them].

At the mo, I wear a UK bra size 36B.
I had ordered from Bosom Friends, a pair of forms that were supposed to be a B cup. They were really flat! More like an AA cup!!
Bought a second pair which is supposed to be a C cup. But even these do not fill out my 36B bras.
They are made of rubber. Lighter than silicone I assume (never yet tried silicone). Realistic looking. Good value.
If you are going to buy, I would recommend buying a much larger size than you imagine - one to two sizes up from what you expect.

I warm mine to body temp in the microwave. It also helps set the adhesive.I use 3M super 77 spray adhesive, and clean it off with paint thinner every few uses. (I prefer turpentine, but the smell is obnoxious) I have been doing it for over 2 years with four different sets of forms, with no apparent damage. w.
