View Full Version : If you could dress 24/7 would you?

I can dress anytime I want but I don't. I like doing some things that men do. I like golfing as a man (but have done it dress.) I like dancing with women as a man. I also like taking women out dinning as a man.
Do any of you who can dress 24/7 like doing things as a man?
I know Karren it's hockey.

Hi Glenda,
Yes I did for six months when I lived with my CD friend in Connecticut. We went every were. I am just passable an it was right after my divorce, I knew that if I stayed with him it would continue. I like to do other things that are man things an at this point in my life I feel that I am very lucky. I am living with my girl friend now in Flordia an I can dress any time I want she an I are the same size in cloths we swap all things. For her I am a she /male she has a best girl friend an a man that loves her as a women. You are a very good looking women an I guess a man too. If you are ever coming down to Flordia give me a E Mail you are welcome in our home.

I'd love to. That being said, when I do my ghost tours, I enjoy being in Charlie mode. Creepier that way. If I could be Fem at my other job duties I would, but it's a small town and I love what I do so I am not going to put that in jeopardy. Beside I have gotten to the point that when I am Charlie, that's CDing to me as I know who I am!

No, I am a man, and I like doing man things. My wifes best freind, who knows about my c/d, and has seen me at least partly c/d, calls me the macho duck!!! She gets a big laugh that I have a femme side at all. C/d for me is relaxing time, inhibition release time, etc. I would like to go to a weekend makeover sometime though......he he

Would love to, but with breaks. There are some things I'd rather do dressed as a man since when I dress as a woman I like to be rather feminine and it wouldn’t be proper to wear a dress to play football.
Come to think of it, these days GG’s have it pretty good in a way since they can dress girly if they want to, or tomboyish if they want to, and swap back and forth without anyone saying anything. Lucky girls!! Viva liberation!!

I like to do a lot things as a guy. I like to dance (i.e. Salsa, Swing, Merengue) as a man, but I wouldn't mind learning how to dance like a lady while wearing nice flowing dress or skirt and top.
Other things I like to do as a man are target shooting, playing sports, or taking care of my 4 cars. Although, I would love to dress up in a pair of daisy dukes, or short skirt, pantyhose, and bra while doing a simple oil change. Unfortunately, I don't have my own private garage.
There's too many other things to list, but I still have time to dress up as Joann.

Sort of like Jasmina Lace said: yes, but with breaks. I like to play tennis en femme, but it isn't always possibe. I like to go boating en femme - more possible. Conversely, I, too, am like Glenda in wanting to take my wife to dinner as a man, or go dancing as a man - but I love doing both en femme, too. I guess it all boils down more to what my wife's particular needs are at any given point in time. She's so incredibly supportive of Barbara . . . but I know there are times she wants me in male mode and I totally understand and accept that.
I certainly have a tremendous amount of freedom to dress as much as I want, so maybe it is easier to forego dressing at times (like when the wife wants me to). I mean, how can one refuse a few reasonable concessions from one's wife when she supports your dressing 24/7 pretty much all of the time?!! How can one refuse to make a few concessions when you have a wife who knows (and knows without you ever having hardly ever said a thing about it) how very much you want to wear a wedding dress and be a bride -- and SHE then acts on it . . . suggesting it, helping plan it, helping you buy that "just right" wedding dress, etc? I guess the totality of what you have impacts the answer to this question!!!

I have to be honest .... I've just spent a whole 6 days en femme (http://www.crossdressers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58400) all the time, and apart from my wig itching a little when I was hot, it never even entered my mind that I wanted to change back. I really do like being en femme very much indeed :o

Glenda for a long time I thought I would like to live full time as a woman. It was difficult for me to go back to being a guy after spending time as a woman. Since February 13th I have been living full time as a woman. It seem highly unlikely I will ever want to go back to being a guy. There is nothing I want to do, that I can not do as a woman. I really was never comfortable as a guy, but that is just me.

Half of me says "oh heaven's yes!" and the other half would be terrified beyond belief. At this point in my life, the anxiety side of life would win over (does everywhere else), but I'm workin on that. '-) It would be like the dream of waking up a woman... only not waking up... from the dream that is.

Well, I would not DRESS 24/7, but would easily present as a woman 24/7. As a matter of fact, that's just where I am going, slowly but surely. I can't change my truck tires from winter studs to summer treads in a dress, but I do wear jeans and a cami top. I am not much of a "dresser". Don't even own a dress. But I present as a woman as much as I can. Mostly jeans and tops for me. I have absolutely NO desire to wear a pair of Daisey Dukes, for instance. Maybe when I was younger . . . . . . hmmmmm.

I also am becoming more and more Michelle as I become satisfied, no pleased, with myself as a transgender. I dress as much in femmine clothes as my time and budget will allow. I am Michelle on weekends 24 hours a day, although the warmer weather precludes throwing a jacket on over my top if I have to run errands. I don't wear a lot of femminine clothes at work, but I am finding my manerisms are more and more Michelle as time goes on. If I could dress 24/7 I would do it in a heartbeat. If I could suddenly become the woman I was supposed to be, I would also do it in a heartbeat.

I have never had the opportunity to try doing 24/7. There's so much to do in life that requires me to me in male mode, such as family, friends, and job. It is something I would like to try, and I think I would like it alot. I just don't think that opportunity will ever arise.

05-24-2007, 05:04 AM
I would guess that I am maybe 30% passable so to live 24/7 would be living with the knowledge that 70% of the time I would be recognized as a guy in a dress. not exactly living full time as a woman though I would love to. There isn't much I care to do as a man, problem is I just look too much like one:eek:
I live fully dressed at home always and love living that way. I live in a place where everyone knows who I am so my options are limited:sad:

I'd love to be 24/7/365. But I keep a pair of old guy jeans and sneakers for things like changing oil in the car, or yard work, or anything that might might mess up my good clothes.
There's not too much that I've done as a guy that I can't do as a girl, sooo...

I've often gone out for a very long day, starting out in the morning and coming back home very late. I've spent a few weekends enfemme when I was a member of a CD club, but really fantasize about spending a week or longer on a vacation trip. It's amazing to me that the excitement begins to wear off and the feeling of being "naturally feminine" begins to take over. But, I still need to be a guy and do guy things; sports, cars, bikes and such.

If I could get my wife to accept my CDing, I think I could also get her to let me wear ladies slacks/capries and ladies t-shirts some of the time as long as I didn't wear a wig or makeup. I almost do that now. She lets me wear Hanes and JMS t-shirts now. Only because they are unisex. So half way there. LOL

I cant but i dont think i would want to no. Now that my femme side is more firmly established i find that i switch from Mike to Mitch many times a day. I carry a manbag, paint my nails, shave my legs, wear jewellery even as a guy and the world can think what it likes. I like being that way!

I would go for it in a second, assuming that i could be fairly passable.
I've spent lots of time alone without en femme, and truely feel at home. I've gone out a couple times, but never had close contact.
I find the more I do it though, the more my mannerisms (even in boy form) become femme. Once i get the makeup down, I think i'll be ready for more public times. Who knows, maybe 24/7 some day.
Gretchen
05-24-2007, 01:06 PM
I think the current time I spend en femme is about all I want to do. It is during the week when my wife is at work and usually averages 3-4 days per week, 5-6 hours per day. I am still trying to find a balance because I know my dressing could get to be more than I need and lose its magic and excitement. Basically, I only dress when I am alone for significant blocks of time and I am OK with that.
There are definitely a lot of male activities that I do with family and friends which would not be compatible with my CDing.
Love,
Gretchen

I am first of all a man and happy to be such, but at the same time I would love to have a shot at being Alice for a full 24 hour period and expertience all that goes with it. The best I can get at this time is 5-8 hours once in a while. I play a lot of golf and could not imagine playing it in a dress or anything else that would give away my other persona although I do keep my legs shaved and no one notices. But I'm from S. Calif. and shaved legs are not that unusual.:hugs:

I most certainly would dress en femme all the time, if the general attitude towards TGs was more accepting. I am out to family and friends, am sort of passable, and go out dressed a great deal. But I am not out at work, among other places, so my compromise is to dress in girl's clothes that look like guy clothes: jeans, plain shirts that button "the other way", sneakers (with a bit of pink and lavender if you look closely), even my socks and belt. Pretty panties and cami under it all are a must! So I can truthfully say I cross-dress 24/7, even though I am sometimes passing for butch.

It depends on the intention of your question. I dress in something everyday, all day. Even when sleeping. I can do guy things while dressed in a bra, thigh highs, a necklace, and perfume. I do photo shoots this way much of the time. This is my normal everyday attire under my drabs. So in answer to your question - ABSOLUTELY! I ALREADY DO!
Of course if your question was intended only for those who would have to dress completely with all of the outer gear in addition, I can only dream but if I could - ABSOLUTELY!. Then, if I wanted to do "guy things", I would just dress like many GGs do now, in guy clothes, and then when done, go back to CDing.

Mitch my ways are a lot like yours, I have grayed that line between my fem and male sides, I look in the mirror in drab and can see Kristen now with my long highlighted hair, pierced ears, and thinned eye brows. I have gone totally dressed for 6 days, driving over 400 miles in 3 different states, I could go 24/7 if that was what I decided I wanted to do, but not totally out at work and job is good $$$. I am out 2-3-nights a week and having fun now. In December was dressing almost every night and all weekend long, I got burnt out, didn’t have the energy to dress, and took a week off to my male self. I have accepted myself and have bolstered my confidence no matter how I’m dressed.

Well lets see. First of all I can pretty much dress when I please and how I please. But I don't, and I think that is due in part out of respect to my s/o. I know she enjoys her girlfriend a lot but I also know that she likes her man too. Now if she were to want me to dress full time, 24/7, I could very easily comply. I don't see any reason why I shouldn't be able to cut the grass, work on the car or any other manly thing or chore dressed in womens clothes. Wearing women's jeans or overalls and women's tennies would be similar to what I would normally wear so the female version would be just terrific. Now as far as greeting the public, well that might be the straw that broke the camel's back. After all, I am 6' and 185 lbs. If people as a whole were accepting, then no problem. But we live in different world now don't we.

I have thought much about what it would be like to be Stef 24/7. Have toyed with the ideal of taking a week long vacation to SF or such with only my female clothes but that is still off. I have also considered retiring early and live as a woman and take a job as a woman. Only time will tell. I do love dressing and presenting myself as a woman - I love all aspects of being female, the makeup, perfume, nail polish, silky hose. exciting.

I was on vacation for the month of march, and was Denise for the entire time.
The only male clothes i took with me in case of need were 1 pair of shoes and slacks, other than that I was totally femme for the whole month.
I feel very much at ease and comfortable when out femme, and for me it was very difficult to switch back, to my male form when i returned home.
I live in a very small rural village, and there fore it is difficult for me to go femme 24/7 because of the local biased attitudes on alternate live styles.
If it were possible, I would go femme 24/7. I enjoy being femme, and the comfort it provides to me. I fully believe I was born in the wrong gender, however that is something that we all have no control over.
I would also like to transition fully, however at present that is not possible, due to health problems, so being Denise as often as I can is the next best alternative

Hmmmm....nope! I like the best of both worlds. Love being a girl when I want to and enjoy shopping or clubbing. Then like on Sunday mornings it sure is easy to just put on a Tshirt and Jeans and bum around as a guy all day!
I think it would be a pain in the bootie to have to dressup and do all the makeup everyday for work. Lord!!! I admit sometimes before going on weekends I almost dread starting to get ready...takes me so long to get da look going! But once dressed I get that happy feeling. But not every day for me.

Since I don't try to look like a woman, I'd rather have the choice to dress like a GG. By that, I mean, I'd rather have the choice of deciding whether I wear a skirt, dress or typical male clothing. and have no one care whether I was a guy or a girl. Of course, in some ways, I do wear women's clothes all of the time. After all, most women wear jeans or other bifurcated garments more often than they wear dresses or skirts. About the only time I feel that I'm not wearing women's clothes is when I wear a kilt, and the GGs are starting to adopt those too.

Thats a good question. As i'm now on the way to living alone i'm enjoying my freedom to dress when ever i want to and when she is out for good i was planning on dressing all weekend and every night after work til going back the next day. Yesterday for some unknown reason i was dressed and having a great day when i decided to go back to drab didn't know why at the time but as it turned out she needed the key to our storage ( btw she knows ) but it was my plant manager who came to the door for the key she was having a yardsale at his house better traffic flow there. When he came to the door all i could think was am i glad i decided to go back to drab.
To answer your question if nobody would ever come to my door then yes i would dress at home all the time. As stated earlier there are times when we could get caught and suffer the consequences of being caught. Not that what i do at home should affect my job but my reputation and respect of coworkers would deminish drastically if i were to get caught.
I'm a risk taker i'm dressed head to toe as i type this so am throwing caution to the wind and what shall be shall be.

no, i dont think i would given the opportunity. i enjoy my life as a man, and many aspects of my daily life just dont lend themselves to a fem persona. i do underdress everyday, and it gives me a sense that she is always with me, influencing everything i do, putting a little pink & frilly into an otherwise drab exsistence. most days this is enough to get by on and when it isnt, well, time for some boots and a corset!

I find it really strange that some crossdressers enjoy both their male and female personas, while others dress most of the time as male and are only able to dress feminine in very specific circumstances. Although I regret that I am on my own and don't have a partner, I have no restrictions whatsoever on my dressing either at home or at work and I would never think of going to a function of any sort except dressed as areal woman.

Why do you think its strange? As a part time cder, I consider it "normal" to enjoy being a guy, or a girl at times.

95% of the time I'm dressed in a skirt, usually a long hippy-peasant-goth style skirt. "drab" is pants with a blouse/top and womans shoes. I own a few t-shirts and a still have a couple of mens jeans left for when I have to work on the car or some other project, actually some of the older womens clothes that are stained or frayed have become work clothes. I have NO formal or dressy mens clothes at all, don't even have a wallet. I carry a purse 100% of the time.

I would - except I have to chop wood, till the garden, and clean the gutters. Oh, and doing botanical surveys in the woods, prairies, or wetlands would be a bit awkward in a skirt (though sometimes I wear a bra with forms if I am sure not to run in to anybody). I'd get runs in my stockings and I hate that. Other than that, it'd be 24/7. Except my wonderful wife is just not quite ready to see me as Joni yet. I think we are getting close. Joni

I honestly don't know. I haven't yet been lucky enough to be able to dress free in the open yet so I haven't had the full no paranoia feeling. Maybe once I have, I'll love it so much that I'd say yes in a heartbeat. But for now I have no idea. T_T

I have pretty much since the first of May. My wife has started sending a lot of my guy clothes to the thrift store. I'm sure one of these days I'll come home and all of my guy things will be gone and I will wish I had something to wear. But until then I guess I won't worry about it.

I would, but I fear the allure would wear off if it just became regular attire. if all of a sudden society shifted so that there were no social taboos about wearing cross-gender clothing I would probably eventually settle into some combination of womens and mens clothing. frilly skirts and stockings with sportcoats and mens shoes (I find shoes and feet of either gender to be wholly unattractive, so I'd go for pure comfort and practicality) topped off with one of those big audrey hephburn hats from the sixties. of course in the summer I would wear nothing but sundresses.
but ultimately I think I'd feel robbed of the thrill. perhaps that's when I'd become a nudist.

Yes, for sure. It's only a dream though since too many things would have to change in order for it to be a reality.

Quite simply, No
I enjoy being a man who occassionally loves to wear womens clothes.

No, getting dressed up is a lot of work for me. I couldn't stand to do it every day. Being a guy does have some advantages.

I did live as Janice once. It was a thrill in the beginning but after a month I realised that being Janice was as not as different as being my male self. Now i just feel happy dressing for short periods.

That is one of my biggest fears about going full time.
"Wanting is so much more delicious than having!"
"Happiness is wanting what you have not wanting what you don't have."
Both of those phrases are true, but one can't have it both ways!
Now that doesn't mean that I don't enjoy being Jennifer full time, I DO. But I always know when the "spell expires" and I have to revert.

I don't know if I could or not dress full time. Right now with the warm weather here it is nice to wear skirts especially peasant skirts. But for the most part I do wear panties 24/7 my wife lets me wear her nightgowns to bed. But sometimes its nice to look forward to when no one is around to go all the way.

if i could dress 24/7, i would, as most of the things i do as a man, i could still do dressed as a woman

There are so many variables...
My first answer is, or course, yes! Then I start getting practical. Getting presentable still takes a while. If I were to go 'full time' I think I'd get very frustrated with the amount of time it took me every morning just to get out the door... then there are days where you just don't feel like you have the energy or desire to be presentable. Or days when you just want to mow the lawn, or take a hike, but don't want to have to get all made up first.
So I guess my answer would end up being "Yes... if I could manage to get my presentation down so I can either pass with minimal effort or get ready in a half hour or so.
Ideally, I would be able to go out to do something I enjoy in 'guy mode' but just do it as a girl... no (or minimal) makeup, no fancy dress, just me as a girl in shorts, T-shirt (bra and forms, of course) presenting as female.
I guess the biggest transition would be going from 'Dressing once in a while as a special occasion' to 'dressing in a manor that gives cues that you are female' wihout needing to rely on the whole 'skirts, dresses, makeup' routine.
I don't know. as I typed this it was hard to make clear what I mean but perhaps you'll understand. :)

I don't know.... If I could do it and get away with it, I'd probably do it half and half. Half drab, half femme. I'm liking my more androgynous look lately, anyway. :)

I would love to dress 24/7 if I could .It would be wonderful to wear what you want any time and any place.

Funny, this conversation just came up with a friend of mine. When my youngest leaves for college, I will probably be relocating to a metro area, living in or near the city. I have every intention of going as full-time as possible with CDing. Certainly my personal life will be led as Sherri. I may still be working for myself, in which case I will do so as Sherri, or I may seek a CD-friendly employer. Even if I were to work for someone not CD-friendly, I will make little or no effort to conceal my dressing away from the job.
Practically speaking, I share Cristi's concern with the logistics. While I do and will no doubt continue to dress fully, I also consider some version of dressing short of that to be perfectly valid. When that day comes (and it's not too far off), my appearance will always involve feminine clothing (skirts, shoes, tops, etc), but I do not believe that breastforms, a wig or heavy makeup are always necessary, or even desirable. My friend Reana refers to it as "casual femme".
As for doing "guy" things, about the only guy interest I still have is flyfishing and I don't see why I can't do that in some variation of femme. I'm thinking hip waders, daisy dukes and a little lipstick and eye liner. :GE:

If it were possible I would love to be able to dress femme 24/7, however due to my work and the area where i live this is not a possibility at this time
I hope to re-locate withing he next 3 to 4 years, at which time I sincerly hope that I will be able to live femme 24/7.
I was away for the month of March and was femme the whole time i was away. In fact i did not take any guy clothes with me, so i had little choice to be Denise, wether it was going out for dinner, shopping or just travelling around.
There was nothing that I would have liked to do in guy form that I was not able to do femme/
It is just too bad that society is not more accepting of the alternate lifestyles, and let each person dress as they desire

I'm with Denise on this one - it's simply not practical for me at the moment.
I do however have a month's holidays coming up, and plan to spend at least two weeks of that out of town and dressed - really looking forward to it!
Depending on how I feel at the end of that, who knows? Might be time for some life-changing decisions eg new town, new job etc.

Glenda if i was single i would live as a woman all the time in my own house but i do like to go out as a man.I think if i was really convincing in my natural looks as a female then yes i woud do everything as a woman.I am fed up with that masculine way.Having to live in this masculine world isn't that great.
Angie great dress and superb legs im working on mine:2c:

definitely not.
I love being a man, wearing my suit and tie to work, working on the car or practicing my taekwondo. I used to play rugby and loved it too.
As someone said before, if the society were more accepting, i would like sometime to go to work in a skirt and high heels, and be able to dress however i want. But it isn´t, so my answer would be no.
I would like to go 24/7 for a week, i a vacation REALLY away from home, and most certainly will some day.
