The Transgender Health Initiative of New York (THINY) will present its first annual transgender health fair on Weds., June 6.
Sponsored by NYAGRA, the Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund (TLDEF), the Gender Identity Project of the LGBT Community Center, Callen-Lorde and St. Vincent's Hospital Manhattan.
This is the first transgender health fair ever held in New York City that we're aware of, and it will offer the opportunity to meet trans-affirming health care providers & other community members. The health fair will also offer:
- free health screenings, including blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, mental health & more
- transgender- specific health information
- information on smoking cessation, nutrition, health insurance & more
- Medicaid enrollment
We would like to invite you to join us for this exciting event, which will take place from 5:30-8 p.m.,Wednesday, June 6 at the LGBT Community Center at 208 W. 13th St. in Manhattan.
