Hi Heather,

two years ago, while on a business trip, I wnt into a hotel/restaurant in the evening for a beer. Only a few people around, noone really paid much attention to me.

There were two waitresses. When getting my lttle beer, I told the young waitress, that she should not wonder about my outfit, I usually dress in mens clothes. I was wearing a grey pleated mini skirt, a blue bouse, blue blazer, black stockings and high heels.

To my big surprise, she sat down at my table across me, nad said, she very much liked my style of dressing. It would look great on me. After telling her that I love pleated skirts and business suit outfits, we really got into talking.

That was a very nice and valuable experience. Wished I could have met her again.

I get compliments from time to time. Usually my clothes. ie I really like those pants where did you get them, I really like your shirt. I've also gotten kudos for "having my own style".

I get compliments a lot on how I look and act when dressed but the ones I like the most are the ones that say It is great to see you out being yourself and have the courage to be who you are. I know that is a person that understands.

One of the nicest compliments was while shopping at Target a few weeks ago, a GG asked me for my opinion of which shade of foundation she should purchase. My makeup must have looked pretty good.:heehee:

I've been going out for almost 20 years now and am rather comfortable as a woman. While I do get read on occasion, that happens less often these days. Over the years, I've gotten many compliments.

The most common for me is regarding my nails. Sales clerks often compliment my manicure as I am paying for a purchase. I've been complimented on my clothes and shoes too. And recently while walking down the street as I passed two women walking towards me, I heard one say to the other - I love her earings.

While I've not been out dressed, I often get jeolous reactions to my long nails :)

Yes. I have gotten unsolicited compliments on my hair, my jewelry, my shoes, and my purses. I like to carry higher end designer bags when out and about. GG,s like their purses, and mine get noticed.

My first time out...I locked my room key in the room (yes I was wearing a blonde wig) I went to the hotel office and asked for another. A very young pleasant girl was manning the desk and promptly took care of me. She asked for my ID which was a picture of me in guy mode and then said she loved my earrings...I was on cloud nine...

I really haven't been out anywhere in a dress or skirt, but once in a while, my SO will compliment me on my attire. I actually amazed her once with a skirt/top combo. There's a picture of me in it on here somewhere. It's nice to get complimented once in a while. It always brings a smile to my face.
:hugs:
Searched the site and I didn't see it anywhere, so here it is.

I often get complimented on my hair, and sometimes even my earings, no matter how I am dressed. :D

When out dressed enfemme, especially with open-toed shoes, I very often get compliments on my pedicure, particularly on my favorite color of toenail polish. (Revlon 730 - Valentine Red).

What have you been complimented on?

While out last week, I enquired about some foundation and beard cover. The SA got really close to try some on me. She said 'is that your own hair' and was amazed that it was a wig. I later had a conversation with a lady about my scarf and she didnt read me at all. Two 'Big Issue' sellers said 'Big Issue Madam?'to me. Felt so good!

The very best compliment is when there is no realization I'm a CD and "out and about" en femme. To me, it is highly complimentary to realize you aren't being read. As to actual compliments, I get a lot regarding my shoes. Seems many like them whether I'm in boots, MMFMPs, or even cute Mary Jane flats. My wife and I still shake our collective heads about this one: several Halloweens ago I was wearing a pair of really sexy platform boots -- tie all the way up and with 5 inch heels. This couple was escorting their child around for "trick or treating" and struck up a conversation with us -- the husband inparticularly couldn't get over those "sexy, sexy boots." They finally moved on, but 30 minutes later were back at our house with a camera. The wife asked if she could take a picture of my wife, me, and her husband -- and in a pose that would really "show off" my boots. We said okay and the picture was taken, but to this day can't get over their reaction!

Often it seems that teenaged GGs read us the quickest -- and about a year ago I had this "gaggle of girls" compliment me on my miniskirt. They didn't read me at all -- and loved one of my very favorite skirts. That felt good!

I was out in drab shopping in my shorts and shaved legs, two years ago. A lady says to me right in front of my wife: "I would kill to have your legs" My said You should see him when he's in a skirt. We all had a good laugh.

The best compliment I have had as well is when some one does not reaslize I am TG.
I was in a Restarant in Va. Just bought a new skirt suit and matching top, so on Sunday when I went out for dinner wore the suit, and the waitress complimented me on how nice it looked and how well the top matched the suit.
The biggest compliment i have recieved, was visiting a friend and the neighbour lady came in. the Next time I was there, she came in again and we got chatting as my friend I was visiting is TS.
She told me that unless I had told her my self, that she would not have believed any one else that i was other than a GG.

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it) no one has ever seen me wearing women's clothing so have never gotten a comment about it one way or the other.

I've only gotten one completely unsolicited compliment from a total stranger when out.

I was strolling in a mall in a skirt suit and heels, trying to act casual and blend in. As I entered a store, a woman a bit older than I am who was walking out of the same store smiled at me and said 'You have lovely hair'.

It caught me so much by surprise that all I could do was say 'thank you' in my best feminine voice, smile and continue walking.

Since then, I've wondered what might have happened if I had paused for a minute to talk with her. Maybe she was looking for somebody to talk with and I could have had a conversation (and perhaps even made a friend) with somebody who knew me ONLY as a woman.

In one way, the hair comment was not out of the blue. Though I don't like my hair much, many women have complimented me on it while I've been in 'guy' mode. I guess it looks even better when styled and curled a bit.

I have had many good compliments while out. But the best was at the grocery store at the check out I had just come from a meeting with some of the girls and was just picking up somethings for the next day. I had on a light brown skirt that went below the knees a tan Cami with a over size leopard print shirt and black high heel boots. When this lady comes up to me telling how nice my out fit is and where did I get it. She thought it was the cutest thing. We talk for about 10 minutes and we thank each other her for where to and me for saying how nice I looked.

Some years ago I went shopping enfemme at a mall and went to a department store that carries a nice selection of makeup. I was wearing a knee length white skrt, patterned top, my shoulder length ash blonde wig and white espadrilles. I was waiting at the checkout beyond a little girl and her mother and the little girl smiled at me then said to her mom, "Look mom, it's Barbie!" Her mother also smiled at me, half apologetcally, then said "Leave the nice lady be, honey." The little girl smiled at me and winked. I felt beautiful!

When I was at the Payless shoe store a couple of weekends ago, I was standing there modeling a pair of 2.5" slingbacks, when a SA came up and commented that how cute the shoes were and how well they went with the outfit I was wearing. That made my day big time. LOL
