Well it was bound to happen sooner or later, getting stoped by the police.:blushing: I took the long weekend to finally get out of the house and reclaim my old stomping grounds. ( An area around my house where a girl can take a walk without discouraging remarks) There's a shortcut behind my place that leads to the main street (yes an alley, that's better lit than the main street). As I was about half way through I noticed a car turn up the same way.:nailbiting: Just my luck it was an officer of the law making their usual rounds.
I just kept on walking pretending not to notice him as he approched. " Excuse me, but what were you doing behind that building?" My reply, "I was taking a walk. "Do you live around here?" Why yes on the next street, and I gave him the address without even thinking twice. "And how long have you lived there?" About a year. "Oh. I don't remember seeing you. Ok thank you".
After he left it dawned on me that this was the same officer that had been at my hous on Christmas eve when my satalite dish was vandalized. I would love to be a fly on the wall when he gets back to the station and tells this one to the rest of his buddies. The good part is that they do know I am out there and maybe (wishful thinking) I won't have to worry about anyone trying to harass me. After all they are SUPPOSE to protect and serve.

Sounds like you did fine with this encounter. I would have been so nervous that I would probably stutter & voice crack as to make them suspicious!

Oh my gosh...how scary and your response was perfect. Being honest and polite is always good in those situations. I keep telling myself that when Karen & I finally get out in public ~ "I must drive the speed limit" because there's more at stake than just a ticket. DOH! :heehee:

Most cops are more interested in doing their jobs and getting through the shift than in what people are wearing. I've posted in on other threads my story of being stopped in a DUI checkpoint one halloween, the officer was only concerned about whether I'd been drinking and failed to compliment my beautiful outfit and flawless makeup.
Don't drink and drive, don't drink, dress and drive.

Having spent 13 yrs with a sheriffs dept. i can say that most officers have seen more in a yr then most will in a life time and some cross dressed will hardly raise an eye.

Hi Noel, I know the feeling . I was all dressed heading for a girl meeting had made chill as we all were bring for pot luck. As I was on the back roads heading for I 95 for Hartford Ct , not doing anything wrong this cop car was on the same road heading toward me. Before we passed I lowered my high beams, he passed an like we all do I watched him in my rear view mirror. I saw his brake lites go on an he pulled into a driveway to turn around. I contuined on down the road as I knew that I had not done anything wrong. He comes up behind me an turns on his lights I thought that he wanted to pass so I went a little futher were the road was wider an pulled over. Much to my surprize he pulls up in back of me. Talk about heart in mouth, So I get my license an reg out roll down the window . He come up to the window an asks for them so I give them to him he looks at them an them me. I tell him I am a cross dresser an was heading for a meeting in Hartford , he then asks me if I know why he stopped me, I was going to say for a date but though better of that answer. I said no an he tells me that my low beam light was out, yea sure horney cops. He then heads back to his car to ck out my info, now mind you the lites are flashing an other traffic on the road is moving back an forth. As I sit there I see another cop car come up behind him, oh great they have made the bust of the night a low beam out law. The officer then with the other officer comes over to my car an asks me to get out as I was making some very unusaly moves in the front seat,I had a pot of chille on it an I did not want to spill it when I stoped. I then have to get out, I have a short skirt 4 inch heels an all my make up an jewerly on, out into all the lights. The officer then ask if I would mind him searching the car as I was suppicous ya right. I said no an he then said for me to go to the back of the car with the other officer while he looked. There I was, in full lite flashing standing in all my glory I then ask the officer with me if they had any officers that crossed dressed an would like to join a nice group. Talk about BALLS he said no an the other officer then came back to look me over an tell me to return to my car
I then sat in my car to ponder my fate, he return an gave me a ticket warning to have my lite fixed. I said thank you an offered them some chille but they declined. I bet they were shaking there heads, all in all I think that it was a great experenice for me, to be who you are.
