View Full Version : Laundry?

Hi all,
I was curious how the laundry of femme items is handled. Specifically, for those whose SO knows but maybe not fully know the extent of the Cding or doesn't want to see and participate.
In my case, my wife knows that I "experiment" with pantyhose when she is not around. She does the laundry including the pantyhose without comment. I had been hoping it would lead to an opening for further discussion, but that hasn't happened yet. I do enjoy seeing my pantyhose drying in the open in the laundry room.

(Note to Administrators: If you believe this would be better in the "clothing" section, I am sorry. Please feel free to move it)

I deal with the "laundry" question by washing my clothes. They last much longer and smell much better when clean.

put things in the pockets of other clothing.( that way stockings dont get caught and torn or panties dont get seen.) this works well at laundromats as well.

I wash 90% of the clothes so not an issue

I am a lucky girl.. My wife prefers to do all the laundry including any and all that I wear. She says I do a poor job of it if left to my own devices.

I toss my femme things in with the rest of the family laundry and either my wife, my daughter, or I will do the laundry. My wife does the whites herself and my daughter or I will do the colors or the denims when there is enough for a load of either. My wife and my daughter(22) both know I dress and both are cool with it.

I wash all my own things... Usually at a local laundrymat, at lunch, in drab.. Gives the little old ladys something to gossip about.... "Why's that man washing all womans clothing?". "He must love his wife dearly".. Lol

And also on business trips using the local hotel facilities, and usually do it enfemme.. Makes it more enjoyable..

I'm afraid if I let my wife wash my things, stuff would dissappear.. "Awww the dog ate all your bras". Or the dryer cut all your panties into ittsy bittsy pieces and then caught them on fire". Strange too how her clothes survived... Hehehe

karenyou could always try to hide your stuff in her pants pockets, that way if they " burn up" then she lost her favorite pair of jeans too.:heehee:

Hand washing for a lot of the delicates like stockings, some of the lacy garter belts, and similar items. Woolite and then softener, in the bathroom sink. Still think it's a thrill to see my stockings hanging from the towel rack.

The other things, usually go into a fine mesh Woolite Lingerie Bag and get washed in a gentle cycle. Since the bag is opaque, it would take a real effort to check out what's inside. That ought to be useful at The Laundromat.

Guess I'm lucky, my washer and dryer are in the garage and nobody but me does any laundry. Single Life certainly does seem to hold some advantages for a Transperson.

Peace and Love, Joanie

Since my SO does not know that I crossdress, I have to find times to wash Linnea's things when my SO is not at home for a few hours. I help with the other laundry, so if she happened to return unexpectedly there wouldn't be much of a problem unless she wanted to wash some clothes quickly (very unlikely) or unless she got energetic and rushed to move things from the washer to the dryer. It's happened but not much.
My biggest problem occurs when I haven't washed things for awhile and I'm running out of clean panties. But it always seems to work out.

Since my wife does not know the full extent of Kristen, I use the laundry service realtively close to work and far away from home. The first time I brought in my bras, cami's, panties, stocking, skirts and blouses, I felt a bit nervous. They wash the delicates, fold them and organize them for me. It cost like $9.00 for 3 lbs of clothing. My skirts and blouses are dry cleaned and pressed.

I make this trip about once a month. Now they greet me with a smile, know my name and always tell me to have a great weekend. Since all I ever bring in are Kristen's clothes, I know they know. I love the attention...but that's me.

I wash all of my delicates in the sink. I only have a couple things my wife washes for me - but I'm building that slowly.

I do my femme clothes separately though my wife is well aware of what I'm doing. It's relatively early days so I don't impose on her. I hope in the long run both my sets of clothes (his 'n' hers) can go in the wash as normal.

We are just the opposite.

If I let my wife do the laundry everythng would be pink, gray and shrunk down to a sub-human size.

I keep all my femme clothes in a separate basket and wash them weekly always on the gentle cycle and then hang them out to dry (to my US friends they are called "clothes lines). My wife knows but is happy for me to look after them myself. I check with her whether she has any delicates to be washed.

My SO does the laundry all the time.
I have a separate basket for my things, but it all goes in the wash together.
We don't have a dryer, so everything gets hung outside on clothes lines. (I wonder sometimes what the neighbors think as to why there are never any mens things hung on the line.)
There are a few things that I have to hand wash, like my water bras, but I don't mind that so much.
I never wash pantyhose, just throw them away after a few uses. They usually have a run in them by that time anyway.

I thought dirty clothes were just an excuse to go shopping!

I think I understand, though. Gee... that WOULD make CDing less expensive!

tina uses a mesh bag for pantyhose, panties and bras...got to be careful as Tina shares laundry facalities...other than the laundry situation it is okay cause' Tina lives alone.

My wife knows and does all the laundry. She folds and stacks it all on a table to be put away. Pants, shirts, etc all have their own stack and are mixed in with my male clothes, except the panty stack, I don't own male undies anymore.

I wash mine at the laundry mat with all of the other clothes (wifes, daughters etc.) the lady behind the counter commented that it was nice to see a guy doing the laundry for once. Then i looked down and realized it was my panties I was folding.

I do mine as needed, but mostly my cleaning lady does it. And some times my mom might but when she does i watch what i give here she will wash all but some might end up missing.

Just as someone else posted, I use Woolite to hand wash. My wife's tolerance level is that it is ok that I do it as long as she never sees it or knows about it. She freaks about even washing anything of mine with the regular laundry .

Guess it really doesn't matter since most of my stuff is VS and almost all recommend hand washing and lay flat to dry. This pretty much means any time she is not around for a little bit it is a mad dash to do some quick washing. Also, we use coin laundry, so would rather not have the others in m building wondering why I'm just doing a big load of just VS clothing.

I envy the "girls" who get to go out and have fun quite often, but when it comes to "wash day" I guess I'm one of the "Lucky" ones.
I do the laundry. I've gotten this down to a science. Very simple in fact.
(Stuff as much as possible in the machine, add hot water , soap turn on , when done put in dryer and bake until dry.) :D
That was the normal way I used to do my own clothes when I was single and alone.
Today, it's more like this:
1. seperate different colors and fabric type into different laundry baskets. (Having many baskets is the key to efficient and timely washing)
a. different colors and fabric type means, just because it's dark color that doesn't mean your black panty girdle goes in with your jeans.
b. one basket of white, [bras put into mesh bags to prevent hooks snagging other things]
c.one basket of delicate, night gowns, PJs, panties (mine and hers) stocking also into a mesh bag [otherwise you have a modern day version of The Gordian Knot]
d. blues and grays in one basket
e. gym clothes in another
you get the idea
2. Stack the baskets to one side and begin the process.
This is where "multitasking" can be handy. While the machine is running you can , mow the lawn, wash the car, or any other project around the house. Keep checking on the machine, when the washer is done put into dryer and add another load.
In a week we (wife grandson and I) generate enough clothes to make six or seven medium sized loads. Whites, light colors, dark colors, delicates, gym clothes, jeans, bed linen.
BTW my skirts and blouses go to "The Cleaners" I've spent enough on them don't want to mess them up in my machine. Lots of the items are "dry clean" only.

:lol2: Yeah, shopping for new ones is way more fun!

I do my own laundry. I love it seeing it drying on the clothesline on a sunny day. The only problem is I know my wife gets jealous because I have so many more clothes than her. :p

My laundry gets washed just like anything else my wife washes. Sometimes we share clothes anyway so no big deal.

My wife knows I crossdress daily under drab--actually ladies casual slacks from a thrift store. I wash my panties and pantyhose when I shower at night, hang up the 'unmentionables' to dry overnight for the next morning. since I started wearing ladies slacks-need to have one rear pocket so as not to draw too much attention-no rear zipper styles to wear out in public, alas (yet!) but they make me happy to wear nonetheless-I do my own wash weekly-don't want the lizsport labels, etc to be noticed and upset her. I believe most women would prefer to visualize their transvestite husbands as still men, male like. helen

When my daughter didn't know I put all my underthings in a mesh bag so none of them would "get lost". Since she was my size and my wife wasn't, misplaced panties would generally end up in her pile. It worked well for 3-4 years.

I put all my female things in the laundry and my wife does it with all of her items. She handles my clothes with all the care of her own.

I'm the one who gets to do the laundry...yeah, since my wife does not know that I crossdress, at least yet. We are a pretty busy couple with our businesses and need to keep each other informed as to our schedules. This is so we can both be at the same place at the same time once in a while.

So I received the laundry gene from someone in my family. Whites and colors are separated, delicates in the mesh bag and woolite is used. Our dryer is one of those neat kinds that allow you to dry almost anything at the correct heat or even with just air flow.

If you want something washed right, then do it yourself:heehee:

Heehee, there is something I find amusing about this topic! I had come out last time I was home from uni and then stuck some delicates in my laundry (I do my own). However when I went to empty the machine I found it empty and my delicates hung up to dry! I was embarrassed despite my Mum already knowing. I said thanks for hanging up my clothes (there were other guy things there too) and she said I needed some more exciting knickers!:o

me and my wife each take turns with the laundry. only thing I am worried about is her stealing my panties, even if they are two small for her, but I kwno she want. unless she wasnt' to go out and buy me some mae undies that is
