This is written for the new girls here, but other experienced cd's are welcome.

I have always had to hide my CD'ing, first from my parents and now my wife, because they would never understand.....I don't believe that it's living a lie!

A short time after coming out, I changed jobs, to one for which I was studying for. And as all of you know, the first job is really important. I could
not blow it for I needed the experience to put down on my resumes.

Does that mean I stopped crossdressing, Hell no! I just didn't do it at work.

Throught out my previous outings, my stache was safely (or precariously) stored at my grandparents house. This had to change and unfortunately space was a premium so I had to purge.....AHHHHHH this purge would haunt me for a few years!!!!!!!!!!! But the economy at the time, and the rental prices for appartments in the Central NJ area were quite high, so I still lived at home.

I needed to have a few items that I could quickly store away safely and quickly access them. A suitcase was one way to go, but a new one would attract attention, and it may also be grabbed by a relative 'borrowing one' for a trip. What a surprise that would have been, LOL!!!!

I settled on a collapsible attache case that can be found in most stationery stores (Staples, Office Max, Sears, etc) These have a combination lock that can be changed to whatever you like.
I bought one of these, cut out the folder holders and pencil holders to increase the storage size. It was the perfect solution. I like a million other people in the Computer Field took our brifcases to and from work. Except that mine stayed in the trunk of my car, out of sight, out of mind (other than my own) and when I had the privacy, I dressed.

Soon after, I had procured a 2nd case for more shoes. I found out I could store at least 10 pairs of shoes, flats, thongs, and heels in one briefcase. A few dresses, stockings, one pair of shoes and other accessories were in the other case.
((This lasted for years. In fact, I still do it today, my wife does not know and it's the perfect way to hide your items. Just be careful not to put bottles of spillable items, ie nailpolish remover in them))

For more storage space, I purchased a footlocker with a hasp and padlock. Again I used a combination lock that allows the user to change it. I now have 3 of these stored in the celler of my house. Two are filled to the brim with womens clothing and shoes, one has almost 30 pairs in them....did I forget to tell you I liked womens shoes. LOL!!!

The third box is not used for that purpose, it's filled with other junk, such as computer stuff, old radio equipment, magazines, cables, etc. My wife asked me what I have in the boxes and I told her "oh its filled with ham radio equipment" Since she could see one of them, filled with junk, that has satisfied her curiosity!!!!!!

getting back to nail polish remover....do you know that it has acetone and other chemicals that can be used for cleaning purposes, or removing gummed labels from things...Well it does, and that is perfect excuse to use if questioned by your SO as to why you have it. Tell them the guy at the hardware store ran out of Acetone and told you to use nail polish remover!!!

I keep that in the garage, on the tool rack, although a small 2 oz bottle is in the house in the event of an emergency!!!

Be extremely careful of orderring items from catalog show rooms, as credit card statemnts show where you did your shopping. It might be better to pay with a check and money order and wait a few days to prevent getting caught!!!

more in the future....

Luv Misty

Hi Misty,

I not beginner by any means, but you did say that you didn't mind other Cders posting.

I've been hiding my secret from my wife for 25 years, although I have purged many times and tried to deny my feelings, during that time. Mainly because of a fear of getting caught.

Anyway, we lived in a flat for many years and it was difficult to hide my clothes. Since we brought our house this problem has been solved. Our attic is now the ideal place to store my dresses, shoes, wigs etc......

I now have five suitcases full of clothes (the suitcases I buy from car boot sales) and no worry of my wife discovering them. The reason being that even if my wife attempted to get into the loft she would struggle, as I deliberately brought a step ladder that was to short and it's quite an effort for me to pull myself up. :D

Various, other items hidden under the floor boards in the spare bedroom. For emergencys. :) :)

The trouble I go to, some days I wonder whether it's all worth it!!!!!!!!!!

Of course it is.

Misty, why not just use pure acetone and that way you wouldn't even have to have nail polish remover around? That is what nail techs use, and what I keep around. You can get a big bottle really cheaply at any beauty supply store...

DanaJ, did you ever read the MSDS for Acetone? I don't like to keep large amounts of chemicals around. One some are extremely dangerous, two, to dispose of them means hazardous waste, three. It's just easier and sometimes cheaper....

but thanks anyway......Misty
