Recent visit to nail salon

Hi ladies,
I wanted to share some findings & to let you know about something I got last week.
First off, acrylic is harder than gel & is harder to remove, contrary to what has been discussed. I had my gel over my natural nails removed. I soaked for about fifteen minutes & it came right off. It had been on for almost two years with many fill-ins.

I have had just about everything done with my nails over the last several years.
Prior to my last visit, we had discussed needing to remove the gel overlays & put on new. I had scheduled a day off for a Dr. appt. so I had plenty of time to remove & get new. We had discussed doing something different this time. Here is what I am getting to. I like the "natural" look for everyday which is just the gel. This time, she had said she could do something with different colors of gel only to give the look of a polish manicure.It is awesome! What she did was use a slightly off-white gel for the tips, a clear gel next, & then a pink over it all. It looks like a combination of french & american tips & very real looking over the rest with NO polish to deal with. It is the best my nails have ever looked.
I am sorry I have no way to post pictures but please talk to your nail tech about doing this procedure. You will love the results!

I don't think that you had gels originally, not if you soaked them off in acetone, as gels are impervious to acetone. Gels have to be filed off. You can also try getting gels, and if you want extra length, then have acrylics put on top of the gels - then when you soak off the acrylics in acetone, the gels are still there ;)

I've also had just about everything, it is great to have your nails done, much fun indeed :)
