Seeing my wife (who does not approve) from the bedroom window, as she drove into our driveway, while I was still wearing lots of her lingerie. You won't believe how quickly you can get rid of stockings, suspenders, panties, bra and slip, and get into jeans and a Tshirt! Then the adrenaline level can be a give-away that something is up!

Having my girlfriend at the time surprise me while I was trying on some of her things that she left on the floor. I heard her coming up the stairs to my room while I was in all of her underthings, up to the knees in her skirt... I flung it all off my body in 2 seconds flat, kicked it under the bed and grabbed her as she walked in the door. My heart was beating like mad - I covered it by making her late for work ;) ;)

Had a lot of close calls in my teens/early 20's... some I can't share ;)

One stands out for me. My wife was away and I was fully dressed. It was just after dark and I thought I would try a short walk in the park. When I got back I realized I had accidentally locked myself out! I spent the next twenty minutes in wig, makeup and a long dress trying to break into my own house.

When I was young living in NY, my mother took me and my sister to the store with her. I wandered off and stole a bra. I put it in my deep jacket pocket and waited to go home. As we entered the house, I took my coat off and hung it up. When I did that, the bra fell out onto the floor. My mother saw it and immediately picked it up. It was one of those in-the-box bra's. Anyway, me and my sister just staired and my mother insisted on knowing what was up. I said well, who else has been in the house? She said the only one that has a key is the guy next door. I said well, there you go. And, I simply walked into the main part of the house like it wasn't my problem. Don't you know she walked right over to the neighbors house and laid into both him and his wife. I would have loved to see that! Poor guy, you know his wife had to be thinking about all that for a while :)

Sometimes I read things posted on the internet by grrlz like us. And somehow it seems that a lot of us started dressing way later than puberty? Is that right? I just don't know ... I got hooked on trying to be girly when I was about 9 years old.

Hiding and being afraid of getting caught was just a part of it for me. I had no idea why I was into this and really still wonder why. Sure, it would have been easier without this little "hobby", but I am pretty happy with myself.

The scariest thing that ever happened was when I was around 10 or 11 years old. My next door neighbor, a 14 year old boy, simply walked in and caught me. He used to come over and steal my parents' cigarettes. When he saw me in lingerie he laughed and said I was his now.

I was raped.

Scary ? Yes. But I imagine I would have tried sex with guys eventually anyway.

The more often we cross dress and go out in public, the more often we will have scary moments. Like Cissy, I had a rape/molestation experience when a young teen. As much as it scared me, it wasn't as scary as the event I have related more than once on this site. For those of you who haven't read it, it was a startling encounter in the men's room with another man. I guess I should have used the ladies room. It all turned out okay, but it was certainly scary for about five minutes.

The most scary thing happened to me was when I walked into a store and the alarm sounded. I froze in confusion. There was a policeman standing not even 15 feet away. He smiled and waved me in saying that that was a malfunction as it sounded when I was walking in. I went in but could not take my mind of the alarm. What if it sounded when I was walking out? It still gives me shivers to think about it.

One time, when I was younger, my mom and sister went off to a fashion show, and said they'd be gone for about an hour. Turns out they were too early. So they return, and as soon as I heard the knob on the door turning, I litreally sprint downstairs and change into an extra pair of my clothes. I could literally hear my heart pounding when I heard that knob turn.

The scariest things to me are people. I want to get out so badly but I am scared to death of people. I have this fear that everyone is looking at me and they all know. I suppose that this is very common when you first start going out and about in the daylight.

Second scariest thing. The daughter was out one night. I got dressed, makeup, purse, wig the whole nine yards. Watching tv with my wife when the daughter walked in. All I could do was hide my face behind the purse. I couldn't move or even speak. My wife was quicker then I was. She told our daughter that I was practicing for Halloween, which was only a couple weeks away. Daughter went to the downstairs bathroom and I ran for the upstairs shower! Whatever did I do with at dress anyway?

right now the scariest thing is anyone finding out

I'd have to go with telling my GF. I was very scared and it was the most "out of body" experience I have ever had. I started talking and then my consciousness moved out of my body and I was watching it happen like it was a movie. I swear it was the weirdest thing I have ever experienced. She took it well and I felt like a HUGE weight was lifted.

The second most scary was the first time I bought a pair of heels in a store. What a rush though. Sometimes I like shopping just for the rush I think...who needs skydiving anyways?

the first time having sex with a guy while I was dressed. Talk about a quickie. Seemed like he just got in when he flooded me - he pulled out and zipped up and I was left high and dry --- well not exactly dry.

Getting a call on my cell phone from my wife, telling me that she'd just been contacted by a particular women's clothing internet retailer, telling her that someone had used my credit card to order women's clothing, and had it sent to an address she (my wife) had never heard of. (My wife doesn't know about my CDing, so I'd gotten myself a PMB--private mail box--to have stuff sent to. Well, the merchant was afraid of credit card fraud, so they'd called the phone at my billing address to check. I know they meant well, but really...) How'd I get out of that predicament, you ask. Well, I lied, telling my wife that someone must have gotten ahold of my credit card info. I cancelled the order, and then, to make it realistic, called the credit card company and asked for a new account number.

After a second call from another clothier, I dropped the PMB idea. Now I have no way of ordering clothing, makeup, herbal products, etc. by mail! It's extremely limiting. Arggh!

Getting caught by my father multiple times growing up. Getting yelled at, threatened, ridiculed, and nearly beaten numerous times by him, a man of the military raised in a household of masculine men. He disowned me for a short time after seeing my sorority picture last summer and refused to continue paying for my college at that time.

Charlie,
How could anyone fall out with you in that picture, you looked fabulous. I'm old enough to be your father (grandfather almost), and I'd be proud to have a kid that gorgeous. It would probably take a little getting used to knowing you as my daughter, instead of the son you used to be, but at the end of the day, we'd still be the same family, and I'd still be your dad. Then you might have to get used to me dressed as your mum!!!

This is getting too complicated. If you get thrown out of your family, come to England and I'll adopt you!

After my Mother was killed, And I realised that I was going to have to Fresno, to be close to the Rest of my Family, I felt I had to Come outto my Grandmother.

She is 70 Something, years old, and a bit of a Fuddy-Duddy. I was so Scared on How she would take it, Whether or not She would Dissowne me, or what she would do.

She actually Figured it out.

The day of the Funeral, I wore a Shirt, But I didnt wear a bra. a couple years before, I started taking Hormones, and started developing Breasts. She noticed. But didn't say anything, until I decided to Tell her. She was actually ok with it. She is a Teacher,m and she has taught some gay/bi/les/TG people.

So, it turned out ok.

But then there was therest of theFamily, How would the Take it? How would they take that they have a male Family member that wears Make-up, pantyHose, and Dresses........

They have been Totally Ok With it.

I was raped.
Like Cissy, I had a rape/molestation experience when a young teen.
My heart breaks for both of you. I am surprised that only two of you have reported this.
My rape experience was in jail, but that's just part of being in jail.

The big reason that I won’t go out dressed is fear of a severe beating. There are a lot of guys who wouldn’t lay a hostile hand on a GG, but would just love to wail on one of us.

Got to be the time I was being followed late one night by a police officer in my car,he followed me everywhere for nearly 30 minutes.
Well, I don’t know what the situation is where you live, but there’s nothing illegal about crossdressing in California. However if your blood alcohol is over 0.8, nothing can save you if you’re pulled over. A lot of us have taken to carrying a laminated card with boy pic and name on one side, girl pic and name on the other, to present with drivers’ license – just in case.

my scariest experience happened when i had a friends car left at my place while he was on holiday ..i thought what a perfect excuse to get dressed and go for a drive
(i live in a small community and someone would certainly recognise my car) anyway
i thought i looked good so off i went .i was about ten minutes from home when the car stopped on the main shopping street .out of petrol ,i should have looked but when you are as excited as i was you tend to forget the basics. after plucking up courage i started to walk home .just to add to my panic a police car stopped to ask if i was alright lucky it was dark and by calling me miss really excited me ..thi night iwill never forget.i always wonder what might have happened.(he was so cute)love sarah.xxx

The scariest thing since CDing ? Being found out by the mrs.

So far I've managed to keep a lid on the CDing, but there has been a few times when it was wayyy too close for comfort.

One day after work, she told me she was going to play squash with a friend. So I figured I had some time to dress up. I showered, looked at the time and figured I had another hour before she would come home.

So I started dressing, I had put on panties, pantyhose, girdle, and bra when I heard someone walking up the front steps (I was downstairs but you can still hear footsteps on the front walk). I hesitated for a few seconds, but then I heard the door open ! Man, I threw the clothes off quickly, and almost got caught as she rushed downstairs to see what was going on because I failed to answer her when she said 'hello'. When she came down I was in my pants but no shirt, so it looked kind of awkward.

Another scary incident was when the mrs. went to play badminton with her friends. Usually it lasts three hours, so I thought I had plenty of time. I wore one of her dresses.

Anyways, at 7:30 I thought I still have lots of time and sat in the living room watching TV, when I heard a car pull up. Through the crack in the blinds, I realized immediately that she got someone to drive her home ! I quickly took off all the clothes, and in the process I ripped the strap off her dress. I made up a story that the dress got caught on a box that I was moving in the closet, and it ripped the strap from the hanger. She believed it (whew !).

For me, I decided to go out and wander around while dressed, I had found a park that was completely deserted, it was a very nice park and very very big. It was the perfect spot, mainly because it was night time and there wasn't a single person around. I had the place all to myself and was walking around some of the baseball bleacher areas that were paved and then I started walking on some of the sidewalks that went around the park when I noticed a police car on the road. He slowed down and flipped a U-turn and headed back toward the entrance of the park, where my car was parked.

I'm no dummy, I know police don't flip U-turns because they missed their street. It was late at night and he must of seen my parked car and so he went to investigate. I headed back toward the direction of my car to see if stopped to run the plates or anything, I then saw him driving around the park pathways to look for people and he was headed right for me. I hit the ground, and hugged the grass, he came within 30 or so yards of me and then left the park. I knew it would have been a disaster if he caught me, I don't pass at all, I am clearly a guy in drag. I bolted out of there as quick as I could, that was my scariest experience.

...seeing myself in the mirror the first time I tried to put on make-up and style a wig...scary! lol

Actually, the scariest thing related to my crossdressing were the fears at 12 years of age of what was wrong with me. Why was I was so compelled and felt so good wearing woman's clothing.
In terms of an event, at twelve years old, my mother came in to check on me at night and I was sleeping in a nightgown, bra and panties that I had stolen from a friend's sexy mom in the neighborhood. I was so ashamed. For weeks my mother would lift my pant legs to see if I was wearing pantyhose. It was never mentioned again by any family members but the imprint of the shame made future fear of discovery consuming.

Ouch, I would hate to have that happen to me by a family member. I hope your father does someday except you as a crossdress though.
