Helen Boyd's blog recently had a post that amused me, but is also serious.
She recalls an ftm fundraiser called "Take My Breasts Away."
(A song by a similar but more traditional title, by the way, was used in a film in which I had a relatively early experience of totally wanting to _be_ the opposite gender costar). Being somewhat mtf, I'd like to think that I can sympathise with the pain of being ftm, but I don't know.

:heehee: Well, Michelle, I have to agree that a sense of humor is essential in this trans-business. There are certainly days that I have to laugh or I know I'll cry. Thanks for the reminder.
I was trying to think of some trans-humor I could share here, but no "clean" ones come to mind just now. Shows you were my mind is . . . :p

Okay, after I read the name of that fundraiser I was laughing and wondered what the song would be like if it was "Take my Breasts Away" instead of "Take my Breath Away." So I looked up the lyrics to the original and wrote a parody with the same rhyming pattern and syllable count. Yes, I know it isn't very well written but hey, at least it can be sung to the music of the original.
The Original:
Watching every motion
In my foolish lover's game
On this endless ocean
Finally lovers know no shame
Turning and returning
To some secret place inside
Watching in slow motion
As you turn around and say
Take my breath away
Take my breath away
Watching I keep waiting
Still anticipating love
Never hesitating
To become the fated ones
Turning and returning
To some secret place inside
Watching in slow motion
As you turn around and say
My love
Take my breath away
Through the hourglass I saw you
In time you slipped away
When the mirror crashed I called you
And turned to hear you say
If only for today
I am unafraid
Take my breath away
Take my breath away
Watching every motion
In this foolish lovers game
Haunted by the notion
Somewhere there's a love in flames
Turning and returning
To some secret place inside
Watching in slow motion
As you turn around and say
And say
Take my breath away
My love
Take my breath away
My love
Take my breath away
My love
The Parody:
Watching every GM
Jealous of their shirtless chests
Wanting to be with them
And have no heavy breasts
Binding and layering
Just to cover it all up
Calling Dr. Brownstein
While I'm on the phone I say
Take my breasts away
Take my breasts away
Watching I keep wanting
Can't wait to get rid of these
My thoughts are all spawning
A hope that these breasts will leave
Binding and layering
Just to cover it all up
Calling Dr. Brownstein
While I'm on the phone I say
Will you
Take my breasts away
A year on T and I need you
My life is in disarray
I saw my breasts and I called you
I know it's so clishe
I want this everyday
I am unafraid
Take my breasts away
Take my breasts away
Watching every GM
Jealous of his shirtless chest
Feeling very condemned
As I march upon my quest
Binding and layering
Just to cover it all up
Calling Dr. Brownstein
While I'm on the phone I say
I say
Take my breasts away
Will you
Take my breasts away
Will you
Take my breasts away
Will you

Have you been having at the secret stash of rum hidden below deck, recently salvaged from a ship that was already on fire when you got to it?
:tongueout
Silly girl that I am,

Geez, I really didn't put much time or effort into writing that. I'm surprised that anyone actually liked it.
BTW, Dr. Brownstein is a very well known FtM top surgery guy.
