Well, okay; so most y'all been at this longer than me and probably already figured this out. But, I'm a bit excited about it!

I've had a problem with posture for a long time. Being a former boxer I suppose is what has caused this, believe it or not. Ever notice how boxers tend to have rounded shoulders and a rounded back Kind of like they're rgoing to start dragging their knuckles at any moment? Well, that's me - kinda.

I have noticed a bit of an improvement with my posture since I started wearing a cinch. Still, I tend to round my back. However, I'm reminded with the cinch to sit up straight and it has helped a bit.

This morning, while sitting at the computer, I decided to dress up. I went upstairs and put all my stuff on, making sure to tuck again to get used to it and to figure out what seems to work best.

I came downstairs back to the computer and realized I had my legs spread apart. I tried to bring my legs together, but it was difficult. Not that the tuck or anything was a problem; that was in fact very comfortable for me. It was just hard to hold my legs together. They started shaking and I finally relaxed, allowing them to spread again. What I noticed, though, was that forcing my legs together was also forcing my back straight.

Many years ago when I first started boxing, my trainer got all over me for not keeping my feet together. So, I tied an old jump rope around my ankles to break the habit of spreading my feet apart. This gave me an idea.

I went into the garage and found a piece of rope to tie around my upper legs; my thighs, to keep my legs together. That was too painful and too restrictive. I looked around the house and found a 4-inch-wide, 4 or 5 foot piece of strechy stuff with velcro on it. I have no idea what it is for. I stretched it around my thighs and fastened the velcro. It is perfect! It stays in place, cannot be seen under my skirt, and keeps my legs together perfectly, yet still allows me to walk up and down the stairs.

So, what has this done for me? Well, believe it or not, it has helped my posture tremendously, causing me to sit up straight. It has also given me that "swing" in my walk that I had been trying to enable. And, it serves as a constant reminder to keep my legs closed or together; standing or sitting. I love it!

Ya know, I was wondering why anyone would want one of those long bodyshaper's that look like a skirt, a cinch, and a bra all in one piece. But, I think one of those or something like it may serve a similar purpose as the stretchy thing I have on now? One of those just might help me keep my legs together, my midsection tight, and my back straight! I'm gonna by one!

Carrah,
Have you ever thought about wearing a tight skirt? I love them, knee length (or just above) and as tight as you dare! You can't do anything BUT keep your legs together when you sit, and as the skirt rides up, it tightens too!

I have a very hard time keeping my legs together also. Seems like my hips point in the wrong direction or sumthin' :D I often thought about binding the thighs together, but didn't want to run my hose :D When I use to be thinner I had no problem with one leg crossed over the other at the knee.

So, I sit with my lower legs and ankles crossed and angled off to the right.

Yeah, Maybe! I like tight, no doubt about that. Seriously, this piece of stretch whatever-it-is has helped a lot. Like I said, I'm buying one of those full body shapers that are like a skirt at the bottom and trying that. Someone said try a tight skirt. Well, that might work and I'll certanly give it a try. Right now I'm wearing all of my girlfriends skirts; the ones that fit me, at least. Like I said, she hovers around a 4-6 and unless there stretchy skirts, I can't get into them. So, I'll look around next time I'm out for one that fits me and that doesn't stretch.

Thanks for the feedback :)

Carrah,
I think you may find that the body shapers are very stretchy around the hem, and not strong enough to squeeze your legs together. Check it out before you buy it! If you want a really strong stretchy one, there are latex knee length pencil skirts on Ebay that'll hold you legs together, but since you've already been accused of being into bondage, you might not want be tagged as a rubber fetishist as well. Me? I know I am!
