Okay, so a funny thing happened today. I apoligize if I get too wordy.

I am flipping through the flyers yesterday and come across a Revlon ad, where you can win a Mazda Miata., (by the way www.revlonmazda.com for the people in Canada.) Well, I go to enter, and you need a UPC code to enter. So I joke to my SO today I tried to enter, but didn't have any Revlon products, she says we will have to pick something up.
My SO knows about me, but hasn't been very, um, interactive. So we are buying groceries today, and she stops to check out the jewellry, and finds some earrings. I said lets get them. Oh, look, the Revlon display is right behind, we should get something. Well, she looks at the fun Molten Metal eye color, and I start browsing the lip stuff and find the Super Lustrous lipcolor. She doesn't wear lipstick, but I find them fun. So we ended up with both.

Now, to the meat of the story.
After supper, we go online to enter the Revlon contest, and she opens up the eyecolor and says to remove my glasses. Who am I to argue? She applies, then opens the lipgloss and applies. We are kinda joking around, and the phone rings, one of my friends. So there I am talking on the phone, with eyecolor and lipgloss on, (wouldn't my friend be surprised), and she undoes and drops my shorts. Oh, get your mind out of the gutter!. She then pulls off her skort, and gets me to step into it while still on the phone. Next is the shirt, first mine, then hers. I am still on the phone. It is awkward, but worth it. Finally, I get off the phone, standing there in her green skort, and white and green top. It feels awesome! She says it fits me well, which is weird being as I am about 6' and she is about 5'. I am a little thin for my height, she is curvy. So we end up chatting for a bit, and she asks if I have any eyeliner. Well of course! What girl doesn't? We had picked me up the special Estee Lauder set at Christmas time, which is pretty much my only makeup, (which I think is awesome, but haven't really tried anything else.) So she proceeds to do my makeup, while I ask questions on what she is doing and why. Wow, girls know a lot about makeup. I have lots to learn.
After she is done, we end up chatting again, with me pretty much done up, and figured we should get started on our movie to watch. About two years ago, she helped me pick out a wig. I have seen her in it when we bought it, but she has never seen me with it. I asked if I could put it on. She said if I wanted to. So I did along with some sparkling clip on earings. She had watched me the whole time, until I put the wig on. I couldn't do it in front of her for some reason. If she put it on me, it probably would have been okay, but I had to leave the room and do it.
Well, there I was. Fully dressed in front of her (well, I didn't have fem underwear, bra or anything on, but close enough) for the first time. She didn't laugh, didn't giggle. Then we sat and chatted some more. It was so nice! She decided she needed her clothes back, before I stretched them too much. I said if there was any stretching it was already done, but I gave them back anyway. But she did let me change it some of my own, a denim skirt and peasant type top. Finally movie time. It was awkward, but nice to sit with her on the couch dressed up. I hope we can do it again.
We talked after the movie, when I drove her home, and she said it was okay.
Didn't want to kiss me or anything, but it wasn't a total shutout.

Wow! No wonder I asked her to marry me. We don't have a date yet, but I had better get on it.
She was uncomfortable, but open when I came out to her a couple of years ago. It was so nice to finally take this step. Hopefully, one of many more to come.

Thanks for letting me ramble. This is my first thread here. I always look forward to reading everyone's experience's here. It was nice to find a place to visit. I don't post as often as I should. But it is nice to find there are other people like me out there. And I wish some of you could be as lucky as myself.

Cheers!

Timberly, it sound like your relationship is progressing well. Your SO is a keeper (but you already knew that, didn't you)!

I'm glad you know a good catch when you have one. As Holly said, she's a keeper. To bad others can't see when they have a keeper before it is to late and they lose her. Kudos to you! Good luck on the up coming wedding! :hugs: CG GG

Thanks to everyone.
I never realized how lucky I was until I seen how many unaccepting SO's there are out there. But, I can also imagine their point of view.
I am so totally lucky to have found someone who accepts me, and the weird things I do, (dressing and triathlons). Even if she doesn't particpate with me, she still totally supports me. Isn't that what it is all about?
Maybe I should take her out for supper tonight....

I wish everyone could be as blessed as I am!
