How many here shave their legs during the summer? How do you find people react to this if they react at all? I ask this because I always shave I am going to my wifes family reunion and i know my leg hair will not be long enough to appear natural in time I am concerned that her family members will notice and say something. Has anyone had any similar experiences?

Hi! I shave every morning in the shower. No one has said a thing other then one of my neighbors, but even he had no issues. Even my parents said nothing. Bottom line I really don't care what people think. I am hair free......

I shave my legs all year round and usually just wear long pants around certain people who I know would comment. Also, have noticed more guys out in public with shaved legs these days.

Shaved legs year around. Wear shorts at work, only the first day, after shaving, did someone say anything. I see a lot of mens with shaved legs now.

Hi Megan81, I started shaving about 4 years ago and there hasn't been the first bad comment from anyone. I do have one neice that thinks it's real cool, she's 17. You think people notice what you wear or do, but the truth is very few people have a clue what goes on around them. Unless you are dealing with them one on one I dout they will pay any attention at all. Kaitlin

I have been shaving my legs for many years. At this time of the year I wear short skirts,or skorts, and sometimes short shorts most of the time. No one ever says anything about my shaved legs. My dear departed wife knew of course, but the rest of the family doesn't even seem to notice.

BTW, how many of you who shave also put body cream on after shaving? I always do, so my skin is nice and feminine soft!

Hi Megan,

I keep my legs (and arms) shaved and nobody reacts. If they have noticed then they don't care. However, the only time i feel a little self conscious about it is when its a little to long (stubbly) Then it is most likely to be noticed. So I guess what I'm trying to say is that if you think your leg hair is too short to look normal then shave just before you go. In my opinion your leg hair would need to be long enough to start to lie flat when wet not to be noticeable as "different". If they are smooth, people might notice, but will just get on with life and probably not think twice about it.

I keep my arms and legs fully shaved year around.

Have been doing this now for well over 3 years, and no one has even made the slightest comment about it

Feels so nice with out the ugly hair, that i will never go back to letting it grow again.

I have shaved my legs and arms for quite a long time. I don't know if anyone notices or not. I am not bothered by what they think anyway. There is something to be said about getting older. Your whole outlook changes. Strangers will most likely never see you again. Relatives, well, your stuck with them. So, Go Forth Hairless!!! Lydia

As a shaver I have to agree with what the other girls have said. Just shave em off and don't worry about it. I shave armpits, chest, legs and naughty bits on a regular basis at least 3 times a week and i just don't worry what others think

It seems quite clear from all the answers on this topic. No one notices and if they do they don't care.

When I first decided I wanted to shave all the time, I spent a few weeks observing other males in public, trying to figure out who shaved and whether I could tell. My little unscientific study revealed to me that you just can't tell, period. Some men have hairy legs, some men don't. Do the ones who don't shave? Listen to me, ---- YOU JUST CAN'T TELL.

So this whole thing is a big non-issue. Shave if you want. Stay hairy if you want. But don't agonize over not shaving because you think it will bother someone else!! It just won't. In the unlikely event that someone has the poor manners to question you about your lack of hair on your legs, just tell them you like it. It won't happen anyway.

And remember, many quite manly men shave their bodies, legs and all, all the time. Swimmers, wrestlers, body builders, bike racers, and models to name a few that come to mind. Just relax and shave if you want.

Haven't we put this issue to bed yet?

Lovies,
Stephenie

I have had one comment on my legs from one of my wifes friends. It was wow sexy legs, I think she was too far away to notice that they are shaved. It was also the first comment of any kind on my legs. I am on my third summer with shaved legs, and pits. The key is nubbies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! are a dead give away. If you have them, wear paints.

I wouldn't be caught dead with hairy legs and wearing shorts.

Meag
07-08-2007, 11:41 AM
I would, if I had anything to shave. My legs have been hair free for about 45 years. And I can count on both hands the number of times that someone has commented on my legs, and the most comments have been in the last few years. And the hair in the armpits stopped growing about 15 years ago, the hair in the bits area and the hair on the chest have thinned out so much that I shave want is left, a couple of times a week. If the rest of the hair on my body would stop growing, I would be a very happen girl..

I am not as near to my ancestors as most people I guess. I never even had to shave every day until I was nearly 30 so most people who know me think that my legs never grew hair. I have had a couple of wise comments about my hairless legs, but that was actually befor I started shaving them. I agree with everyone else, unless you look like a bear when you get out of the shower in the morning, shave em girl!

Hi all,

Yes I also shave my legs every day after exercising. Doing this in the summer is somewhat awkward since I do like to wear shorts while in drab mode. If I go to the store in drab mode, I'll wear shorts, but if I go to a get togethers at a friends house, I'll wear long pants. Apparently my wife seems to accept this.

All said, I think it is worth it for those few times that I can get out of the house in girl mode and do some fun girl things like shopping for clothes and makeup.

I did this a few days ago while my wife was out for 6 hours. It was wonderful. I wore a skirt, sandles, and a top. I think I passed fairly well, since no one said anything as I tried clothes on in dressing rooms at different stores.

I keep my legs hair free (waxed) year round. I am not hairy to begin with so no one notices the hair free legs anyway. Also, I check to see if others have hairy bodies so I can compare, and quite frankly I notice a lot of people have very little body hair.So go ahead and shave. The only people who will probably notice are people like me

I was waiting for just after an event with my 8 year old son that involved swimming. He can't swim so I knew I was going in to help him. I held off because I thought it might look funny. Anyway a week before that was the father=son camp out. We stopped at natural bridge sate park and did some hiking. A man and his wife and two daughters was just ahead of us on this very steep trail.

His tanned calves were either shaved or he is a recent radiation treatment survivor! I felt silly for even having worried.

I had planned to keep long pants covering but since I shaved I go everywhere in drab shorts. Yesterday, I was trying on some womens jeans at the thrift store, and realized that under the door all you see is my calves (smooth) and my painted toes. I was in the one of the two out of six stalls reserved for men. only the symbol on the door told the gender inside.

I'm a recent shaving convert and no-one either notices or cares! Except my wife whose still not keen! You can't really wear girlie summer fashions with hairy legs now, can you?

Hi megan81 -

I concur with the others that suggest that it does not need to be a concern at all.

Suggestion: Think of some non-chalent reason ahead of time, then if anyone asks, you can brush it off at a seconds notice... that usually works, and that should be the worst case scenario....

I keep mine shaved year round and wear shorts everyday to work, and only have had a few questions. My reply is that I break out from heat rash and the doctor told me that if I shaved my legs more air could get to my skin. No one has ever said a word. I let them grow back in last winter and the hair was very sparse and blonde, so a couple of brazilians ago she waxed my legs and they have been hair free for three months and it feels so much better. Plus, red toenails or pink toenails do not look cute with hair on the legs.

I shave my legs all year and wear my shorts in the summer. Go ahead and shave and wear the shorts. If anyone says anything just tell them you hate hairly legs and decided to shave them. You certainly have every right to do as you wish. Personal preferences vary just like any other thing in life.

I shave my legs 365 days a year, well almost. I drive a bus through Dayton, Ohio and nobody notices or if they do, they don't care. I think people don't care. Only one friend (who does not know about my crossdressing) asked if I shaved them and I told her that I did; I couldn't stand leg hair. She agreed. She hates leg hair. My wife would prefer I didn't shave them but to me it isn't a femme thing, it is more of a comfort. Even she admits leg hair is uncomfortable. I recently got back from a family reunion, many who are in the military and not one person out of 70+ said a word.

I apologize if I offended anybody. I don't want another infraction.

I keep my legs, chest, and arms shaved all the time. Since I don't have a lot of body hair anyway, wife doesn't notice and I wear shorts on weekends. This last weekend, I even worn my short shorts. They are kinda like bathing trunks. LOL Anyway, they really show off my legs and we went shopping and no one seem to care or notice. Then too that Saturday morning, I got up early, took a shower and shaved my legs real smooth. LOL The only problem was when we started to leave, she stoped me and said, "puts some socks on". I looked down at my feet, My RED toes were showing thru my sandels. LOL She doesn't mind me walking around the house bare footed, but not in public.

Hi JoAnn,

It is too bad that you can't display you red toenails in public. I don't really crossdress, but am more of a fashion freestyler and I live in open-toe sandals and everyone can see my red toenails. Red has become the natural nail color for my toenails.

There are more celebrities wearing nail polish in public such as:

Kate Becansale's husband, Tori Spelling's husband.

Google for "nail polish" or "painted toenails" or "polished toenails" and the following people:

Shaquille O'neil (paints his toes himself, this has been written-up in sports magazines many times)

David Beckham (Also wears sarongs, women's underwear, and pink nail polish)

Chuck Liddel (Ultimate Fight Challenge Champion) has red or bright pink toenails. You can see him on Spike TV with his toenails always displayed.

Since you get professional pedicures, you should definitely wear your red toenails in public in open-toe sandals. It is such a liberating experience to have totally fem toes in male mode.

My wife hates it that I shave my legs; my daughter has commented that she likes it (what does she know, she's only 11 :)

Apart from that, I never get comments on the hairless status of my legs. What I get are comments on the raging bulls that are my calves. I've only recently started riding my bike again, and my mother-in-law commented on the fact that they were real cyclist calves. Maybe the rest of my physique then (when properly hidden) matches more of the female body-builder :p

I keep mine shaved year round now and like others, nobody's ever said anything and I've never noticed anybody pointing or whispering either. I don't think people really pay attention to that kinda' stuff any more because a lot of "normal" guys shave their legs now for a wide variety of reasons. It's rather chic now to be mostly hairless, so take advantage of it.

And like someone's already said as well, if you become too worried about it, just wear long pants or jeans when neccesary. I wouldn't worry though, odds are, nobody will even notice.

Take care!

I've been shaving the body for over 7 years, and have had two comments. one about 5 years ago by a GG cousin, and one last week by an aquaintence. She (a real GG, and lady) aksed if I shave my legs. Of course I answered with yes I do. She asked if I cycle and i said no, I just prefer to not have hairy legs. SHE SAID HEY THATS COOL, I NEVER DID HAVE TO SHAVE, MY SISTER GOT ALL THE HAIR IN MY FAMILY. WE THEN TALKED, IN FRONT OF and with SEVERAL OTHERS FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES ABOUT SHAVING LEGS. I personally had always dreaded the time that that was going to happen. Ya know what, it was enjoyable, and somewhat educational.
GO HAIRLESS, it is a lot more comfortable.

As the slogan of a certain athletic shoes manufacturer says: "Just do it"

If people ask why go ahead and tell them you are shaving your legs to save our planet, shaved legs keep you cooler in the summer, you can turn the air conditioner up (or is it down?) by a couple degrees. :p

I have been shaving for years, here is what works for me. Replace your razor frequently, always shave with the grain first, then shave against the grain a few times afterward while holding your skin taut. I found hair conditioner is a good 'shaving cream'.

I'm lucky since I'm asian we can get away with not having much body hair. But I've always told my so's in the past that I don't like body hair. I try to shave as often as I can but it's such a pain in the ass! I dunno how girls do it...but yes, I shave regularly and I love it. It makes me feel super sexy.

At first I had a few people make comments about my hairless legs, but I had an out if you will, where I had gastric bypass, my body doesn't absorbe B12 as a normal body would, thus shots and sublingual tabs for me, but B12 also helps promote healthy hair grown...which also covers the rest of my missing body hair too...

My wife now comments if my legs get stubbly, therefore i now must keep them shaved smoothed all the time. This winter I will start keeping my arms shaved also. If if were ever to believe that I could stop cd'ing i would probably still stay shaved, it such a much better feeling than being all hairy.

One of the weird things about getting older -- and I don't know if it's because my body is producing less testosterone, but that would make sense -- is that most of my leg hair disappeared on its own. It's been years since I shaved (starting again in about three days!), but if you see me in shorts you'd think I shaved unless you got up close to my kneecaps with a magnifying glass.

I go to the gym four times a week in shorts, and it is _so_ not an issue. Of course, if I were a hairy guy and had leg stubble it might be more obvious that I was going to some extra trouble.

Hey, that rhymes! "If I had leg stubble, you'd know I go to some extra trouble."

To shave or not to shave is such a hot topic (legs that is). I love the look and feel of shaved legs so I very much take the view that people can think what they like. Truth is, I don't think people in general are studying our legs (not like they would if we were 20-something GGs!). Also, personally I am not a very hairy man so I don't think my bare legs look odd. I think it would be more of an issue if one were self-conscious about them.
But the answer for you is to do what you are comfortable with.

Let me say, the discomfort of wearing bluejeans in the blazing heat just so somebody won't notice you don't have hairy legs is not worth it! I did that for a while but now the hair grows back so slowly I don't even wait for it seasonally. There are some guys who I would prefer did not see me shaved so I'll slip on some lightweight lounge pants to avoid being noticed, but really, does anyone care?

Guess I'm in the minority here, but most 'girls' don't have the little "chicken legs" that I have been given... I get all kinds of 'comments' until I am able to get a decent tan on the skinny things, so they don't stand out so much.. Drat, if I was 'shaved' I'd be 'put on a pedestal' and humiliated! :(
(not that the idea is bad, but not in that sense)...

Anyhow, I am only able to shave in October, after the boating/golfing season, and prior to the hopefully annual 'cruise' the DW and I try to take each year! SO is supportive at that time, and is even willing to help!

Guess I'll just live with the skinny things I have, and deal with the 'fur' even tho' it isn't what I would prefer! If everything had turned out just perfectly, I woulda' been born a GG, and looked like Stevie Nicks in the 70's... :D

How many here shave their legs during the summer? How do you find people react to this if they react at all? I ask this because I always shave I am going to my wifes family reunion and i know my leg hair will not be long enough to appear natural in time I am concerned that her family members will notice and say something. Has anyone had any similar experiences?

Everyday 365. I hate body hair, and it don't go with satins & Lace.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with men shaving their legs. Swimmers do it before competition - less resistance. Bicyclists do it to prevent infection due to a road burn from a spill. I do it because I do not like body hair. It is hot and smelly, traps Body Oder (BO), and is just better hygiene. I was only questioned twice. once during my National Guard annual PT Run, when one of the girls noticed my legs, and thought they looked neat. My doctor asked why I shaved my pubic, and I told him the same thing, "I don't care for body hair." He agreed.

This is my first summer fully shaved. I entered into it with trepidation fearing the comments that some co-workers and family might make and the looks I might get in public.
To be honest... it went unnoticed.

I waited for the flurry of barbs and they never came. Now a month or so later I don't even think about it.

I just shaved my legs (and entire body for that matter) for the first time in 10 years and it feels great! The only problem I have is with getting red bumps and rashes. That's why I stopped shaving before. It would be nice to just be free of body hair and not have to deal with the side effects.

So far no one has noticed or commented, but I do feel self conscious.

Hi Girls
I moved to Spain from the UK last February. My GG and I have used nudist beaches for a couple of years and I noticed several men who shaved their entire bodies. I tried it and its wonderful. I feel so much better in my favourate mini with sofr hairless legs.
Unfortunately I have to let it grow at the moment as my 28 year old daughter and 2 friends are visiting in a couple of months and she might find it odd. When she's gone off it comes.
I spend most days in a T shirt and shorts and have noticed no discernible reaction. I think most people don't even think about crossdressing and therefore don't find a hairless man that odd.
I just wish I could find an easier way of removing the bloody stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!

A family member of mine ( whom I,m sure suspects my dressing ) has made several " bitchy" remarks about my looks , be it my eyebrows or recently my shaven legs . Out load in front of family , friends and neighbours came a comment , " my are youre legs smooth then ? " in full look at me I,m making a comment - gonna embaress you - attitude . Everyone went quiet looking straight at me . Now I,ve had more than enough of this of late ( normally I go very quiet ) but this time I playfully rubbed my thigh and replied "you,ll never know " smiling and looking at her straight in the eyes.So , in short , if it happens be honest - be jovial ( I dont mean tell the world of youre dressing ) but if pressed just remark it feels and looks better in youre opinion Personal grooming is up to the individual - rock stars and sportsmen do it ....
But for serious advice ....if youre gonna epilate for the first time - be prepared - ouch !

I shave mine year round. I have to take showers at work and a couple have noticed the lack of hair but I do have a good excuse. I tell them I am an avid cyclist and they leave me alone. I do actually ride alot.

I just picked up a can of Sally Hansons "Spray on, Shower off" hair removal. I will not get a chance to try it out until Saturday. Can't wait to see how well it works. It is a new product for Sally Hansons. The direction says it can be applied to legs, chest, abdomen, arms, and hands. just spray the areas, wait three minutes and then take your shower. Sally Hanson also has another hair removal product for the face. I might try this one a later date.

I shave everthing, everyday. It's like mowing the lawn, it's very easy if you keep it up. I wear shorts everyday, all year round, and I have not had one comment made about it. Here in Florida, it really does seem to keep you cooler. I have thought about what I would say to someone if they questioned my bare skin, and my reply would simply be, because I like it that way. smooth legs and shiny toes are not negotiable. I had the same fears at the beginning of the summer and started letting the hair grow back but I just couldn't do it.

No one has said any thing about the shaving but people do for some reason notice the pedicured toes :) I don't care. My canned response to any questions is the same as the rest. "Because I like it!"

I only had one time that someone said anything about my shaved legs in the summer. I was over at my brothers house swimming in his pool with several friends and family and someone said something about my smooth legs, so I said I had gotten a rash and had to shave my legs to put the treatment on them. They all fell for it and was never ask again. Reba Kay

In addition to shaving my legs, I keep my toe nails polished almost all the time. I usually keep them covered up with shoes and socks when I'm around people but I have recently left them exposed when people are at the house. Nobody has said anything yet. During the summer I use a light pink polish. What are other experiences with polished toenails during the summer?

So, at the moment, friends and family see me with shaved legs and polished toenails and nobody has said anything.

I usually get pink or red, but for the summer I've pulled back a little. I wear flip flops or sandals most days. I first just had them buffed but the last couple of trips to the salon I've gotten clear finish. Well, in certain light the clear looks like light pink. It was in one of those settings last night that my son noticed. "Your toes are polished... pink." "No son, actually it's clear polish that just looks pink in this light. It only took you three weeks to notice."

i used to shave but it's faaaaaaaar too much work as you have to do it every day. so how do we fix this well here in MN we go to target and get what's called a "silk epil" it is an epillator very similar to the epilady but far less pricey. for those who don't know it has several dozen sets of automated tweezers on a sort of roller thingy that pull the hair out by the root. it's kinda like waxing only slower. lol yes the first couple of times you use it it can hurt a bit BUT there are some cool things that happen because of using it. one since the hair is removed from the root when it grows back it is A) slower to do so and B) it is thinner and lighter. the more you use it the less it hurts but it's usually good for about 2 weeks at a shot even when you first start. i love mine and actually use it on my legs, arm, and chest and yes even my butt. it makes for silky smooth every time.
not to be redundant it does hurt quite a bit especially in those sensitive areas when you first start but no more so than waxing. the one i got came with two different heads one with less tweezers than the other which pulls less hair thus taking longer but not hurting so bad. it hurts less than a tattoo but it can be fairly uncomfortable. however again the more you use it the less it hurts and a friend of mine used one for about 3 years and was able to stop using it altogether as the hair on her legs became so thin and blond it was hardly noticeable kinda like that "peach fuzz" hair on a GG's bottom. anyway i love mine and am quite used to it now and you talk about working it's awsome!

wat a coincidence to hav com accross this thread, cos i havnt shaven ma legs for like one and a half years thats because am not a neat girl no! cos i dont hav much hair on ma body naturally, but just yesterday night i felt so "GIRLY" and i ended-up shaving all the hair on ma body, hey may be cos i dont hav much hair (naturally), people hardly notice, nobody ever say a word, may be they dont know wat to say, besides i hardly move around in shorts, mostly in trausers. Suprise girls people are really tolerating Crossdressing this days especially mild CDING.

Been shaving my legs for almost a year, and I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner.
Its amazing how much your legs feel especially when wearing a nice pair of pantyhose. I love it.
I was hesitant at first, but after I realized that nobody notices I'm not nervous anymore.
The key is is to not make it obvious. If you draw attention to your legs, then of course people are going to notice.
Just go about your business as if its no big deal.

Lets get this shaving thing squired away.

First if you wear panties, bra, nylons, slips, camisoles or any other type of silky, satin, lacy clothing, you must be shaved otherwise you will look like a gorilla in panties. Not a pretty picture.

Second, shaving your body is not hard. Take a hot bath or shower, I prefer shower, use a gel type body wash, and shampoo. I prefer a women's razor such as Gilliet Venus. The girlyer the better. If you have more then a 1/4" of hair then you might want pre-shave with hair clippers BEFORE you get wet. Once you are ready to shave, shave in sections. one leg, then the other, your butt, Your chest, Underarms, shoulders, then your crotch if desired. Find your own comfort pattern. Shampoo actually softens the hairs making them more accessible to the blades of the razor. The upper back is without question the hardest area to shave. I have my salon girl give me a back wax about every 3 weeks. After your shave, lather with Ex foliating gel soap. This removes any oils and dirt from the hair foliacal. Once you are into the body shaving, continue once everyday just as you would shave your face but never more then once a day to prevent razor burn. I shave ever morning during my shower as if it were apart of bathing. You will find that it will be almost second nature, and fast. As a side note. If you desire to shave the groin area, it is not any harder then shaving your face. You can actually give yourself a "Brazilian" shave by reaching up under your legs. Practice will help. After your shave, apply a body cream and you will find the panties, bra, nylons, slips, camisoles will feel 100% better next to your girly skin

Joann sweetheart, you need not kick yourself - better late then never. Even if they notice, chances are they forget about it in a couple seconds. My shaving was only notice once by a GG and she thought it to be cool. You do have pretty leg, Joann.

I use an epilator on my legs which hurts for the first couple of mins but then you get used to it very time consuming though and legs look red and blotchey for the first day or so afterwards but at least they stay hairless for longer than shaving, no one has ever said anything about me being hairless but if you are looking for a cop out just say you have taken up cycling as i no for sure all pro cyclist shave their legs

I've been shaving on and off for years (used to be a competative cyclist) but returned to it recently about 5 years ago. I still go swimming and wear shorts while in drab guy mode.

Only once has anyone ever said anything and it was a GG. She was suprised and wanted to see and touch them. Got a compliment on my legs and she thought it was cool.

Other then that, nothing, not from my family or in-laws.

Far as I am concerned lots of guy do it, Bodybuilders, cyclists, swimmers, and quite a few for hygne. I love it for a number of reasons then just having silky hose on them. I am cooler in the summer without it.

I will also state that I do shave everywhere else too.

Personally now that we control our environment Heating and cooling and wear clothes, the need for body hair is going to evolve out of us. Don't believe me look at a man in his mid 40 on up. Someone who has worn dress socks for 25+ years into the office. Most of the hair below the knee have been worn/cooked off.

Well I can tell you that people do notice when a man shaves his legs or shapes his eyebrows. However they usually will not say anything to the person about it but they will say something after the the person has left. Women especially notice these type of things. However despite that, I must say I see many men with shaved legs and it is more common than I would ever thought.

I shave mine, I can go a few days though, as I was blessed with little body hair to start. I have been leaving some on my shins, but once cool weather gets here it will be gone NEVER TO RETURN :) I was at a function a few weeks ago and some guy was checking my legs out; I looked right at him and winked- giggles- HE didn't return the wink though LOL. I have not had anyone comment yet.

For me, shaving my legs is an essential (and exciting) part of getting into girl mode. Gillette Venus razors are so awesome, and they look girly (which is a plus in my book). I really enjoy shaving my legs, but shaving the pits, face and chest is another matter. Just a necessary evil.

Girls,

Why does this thread go on-and-on week after week? I think that all girls know that shaving your legs is an extremely important part of being a girl. So the question is" "Why do so many girls here ask week aftter week about shaving their legs?". I believe that the answers are:

1. If you are going to be a girl, you must have shaved legs. Nobody likes hairy legs on a girl.

2. You have a right to shave any body part that you like to shave. Ever notice all of the guys with shaved heads? I am sure they don't go around asking for permission to shave their head! Do you really think that these guys go around and ask permission to shave their heads? After shaving their heads, do you think that they worry about how they are perceived? Enough said.

3. Be proud of your shaved legs because you have every right to shave them. Wear skirts or shorts to show them off. Better yet, wear colorful capris in male mode.

4. If someone is rude enough to ask about your shaved legs, tell them that you like them shaved. Also tell them that they feel so much better in pantyhose. Don't make-up lame excuses about being a biker or swimmer. Be proud of who you are!! The lame excuses that I hear on this forum sicken me. Be enough of a big girl to stand-up for what you like and not be imtimidated. Are you girl enough?

5. Don't forget to get a professional pedicure and have your toenails painted a pretty red or pink color. It is important for a girl to have pretty toenails. Also, wear open-toe sandals in both girl mode and drab mode to show-off your pretty toenails. If anyone asks you about your toenails, tell them that you like to have them painted. It is no different than wearing diamond earrings and many men already do that. Be proud of your toes and don't be afraid to show your pretty toes and shaved legs in guy mode. It is the only way to get crossdressing slowly accepted. :2c:

6. Don't post here every week to ask if shaving your legs is "ok". Instead, ask important questions like "what is the best way to remove hair from you legs". You can then discuss waxing vs shaving vs laser vs electrolysis. These are interesting topics.

7. To summarize: Girls must have shaved legs so get out your razors, make a waxing appointment and get rid of that hair on your legs! You can't be a girl without having shaved legs. Don't ask if it is "ok" to shave your legs, just do it and be proud of your shaved legs, and also don't make-up excuses about why you shave your legs. Be proud of the girl that is inside of you and don't try to hide or suppress her. She is part of you and she needs to express herself.

:2c:

Megan.

These days I do a complete body shave, that is Legs, Arms & Chest. I have only been doing my arms since Nov. of last year but still have not been asked about it at all. As for my legs and chest well thats been going on for years, also with no one mentioning anything.
If you and your SO are comfortable with you shaving your legs what difference does it make in the long run what other people think or say about it. Just go for it, do what makes you feel best.

Take Care.
Brenda.

I can't believe I'm responding to this old thread but it may help someone.
Yes, I've shaved in the summer before. I don't do it anymore because Atlanta is very humid during the summer and I can't dress anyway.
I used to shave all the time when I lived out of state. My wife's family as seen my legs but never made any comments to my face about it.
A couple old friends used to tease me regularly but they remained my friends as I hid my secret from them.
One friend suspected me of dressing and offered to take my picture but I denied CDing.
Alot of people said that they never noticed that I had shaved until I brought it to their attention.
My best advice is that if you plan on shaving, you should shave all the time.
I only shave from Fall through Spring and I'm almost always wearing pants.
I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I've have been shaving my legs for several years during the fall and winter. Always letting it grow back in April and May. Just the other day after reading some of these posts I decided to give the trimming gradually thing and it is working. I've used a number 3 on the trimmer and then after a few days went to a number 2. Tommorrow I will be using the number 1 and if I still don't get any comments I'm going to shave for the rest of the summer. Being here in the south it will stay hot up until the middle of october so there will still be plenty of time. Smooth legs really are HOT in my opinion.

Reading all these comments reminds me of the line from the movie Shawshank Redemption where Tim is wearing the wardon's shiny polished shoes back to his jail cell.
Tim comments " No one looks at a man's shoes". It's so true. Nobody really gives a hoot about a guys legs. Most people won't notice you've shaved.
I personally think it's kinda naughty and can peek some women's curiosity. I love doing it at times and love to watch women staring at my legs.
My in-laws kinda noticed but they really didn't pursue it. So, who cares....They can talk all they want but in the end, they treated me the same.

Jamie001

Jeri,

What does it matter if you get any comments? They are your legs and therefore are not anyone else's business. Why do you care about comments? IF they don't like your legs, tell them where to go!

Been reading all the comments about shaving - how come most shave? Why not use dilapidatory cream - much easier than having to shave every day and unless you have a skin reaction to the cream you won't get a shaving rash. My partner has a leg wax every month and regularly uses cream on his privates. Hope this might help some of you

Well Thursday my wife finally noticed I shaved my legs, it has been over 3 months since I did it. I was leaving the bathroom as she was coming in and I saw a strange look on her face, I didn't think anything of it. The next day she had a migraine and commented on my legs. She didn't say much else about them but did lightly say once yesterday 'when your legs are back to normal'.

Oh Saturday we went to a friends house and it was the first time since I shaved them I went swimming. What an awesome feeling :D

I keep my legs, chest, and arms shaved year round. I do it for two reasons. First because I am a CDer and just love the feel of smooth skin. Secondly, I tend to get a rash on my legs and chest. If I use a certain lotion, I can keep away. If I have hair on my legs and/or chest, then the lotion sticks to the hairs and then I feel icky. So I shave my legs, chest, and arms and that way when I use the lotion every morning, I don't get that icky feeling. Besides my wife knows I shave these areas and is OK with it.

Shaving your legs is no big deal. Some times I think that people here think every body suspects something even if they have no reason to. My brother shaves his legs, arms and chest and there is no way on earth that he's a crossdresser. His wife likes it that way and I think that's mostly the reason he does it. I shaved one time up at school and got some guff from my roomates. They all made fun of me for it which I can take but none of them thought any more of it. I even went swimming with some girls and they thought it was interesting and I could tell one girl really liked it. We even planed a waxing night which was disasterous but fun.

I can't stand the sight of hair on my legs. I'm a Nair girl myself. I wear gym shorts year round and don't really notice people looking.

I naturally don't have much hair - just tufts on my knee caps (I'm very light haired) much like a hobbitt *giggle*. Its seems that people will notice what WE focus on... but old tyme magicians knew this and were able to direct atention away from the sleight of hand... maybe it works for us?

I just shaved myself yesterday from the neck down.. GODS does it feel good to be all smooth and sexy again, I had almost forgotten what a nice pair of Sheer Energy Pantyhose feels like against freshly shaved legs. MMMMMMMMMMMMM

After reading this post I tried it out. I went to wal-mart with my wife, felt real uncomfortable. But after about 15 min or so I didn't have no problem. So now I want to try going out in public dressed up. Sometime.

I have kept my shaved my legs for years now and there is nothing like putting on a new pair of hose on freshly shaven legs, a little touch of heaven here on earth

i used to shave but it's faaaaaaaar too much work as you have to do it every day. so how do we fix this well here in MN we go to target and get what's called a "silk epil" it is an epillator very similar to the epilady but far less pricey. for those who don't know it has several dozen sets of automated tweezers on a sort of roller thingy that pull the hair out by the root. it's kinda like waxing only slower. lol yes the first couple of times you use it it can hurt a bit BUT there are some cool things that happen because of using it. one since the hair is removed from the root when it grows back it is A) slower to do so and B) it is thinner and lighter. the more you use it the less it hurts but it's usually good for about 2 weeks at a shot even when you first start. i love mine and actually use it on my legs, arm, and chest and yes even my butt. it makes for silky smooth every time.
not to be redundant it does hurt quite a bit especially in those sensitive areas when you first start but no more so than waxing. the one i got came with two different heads one with less tweezers than the other which pulls less hair thus taking longer but not hurting so bad. it hurts less than a tattoo but it can be fairly uncomfortable. however again the more you use it the less it hurts and a friend of mine used one for about 3 years and was able to stop using it altogether as the hair on her legs became so thin and blond it was hardly noticeable kinda like that "peach fuzz" hair on a GG's bottom. anyway i love mine and am quite used to it now and you talk about working it's awsome!

Picked one up today...

OUCH!!!

But it only hurts until the pain goes away. SO did my back (honestly I think she is tired of shaving it, but it gives her the opportunity to pick black heads ... personally i think that is her favorite past time)... Pain... lots of it. Here's hoping the next time will hurt less.

I feel uncomfortable now to not be shaven.
I rarely miss a day.
But rarely wear short pants, either

I have only had one comment and that was from a guy who is so homophobic that they need to redefine the word. I had just body shaved and was wearing a T-shirt when he came to the house. I didn't even think about my bare arms. He came in and after about 20 minutes he commented "Didn't you used to have hair on your arms?" Out of the blue, I fabricated a story about a drunken, kinky bet with a gg and I lost the bet. He seemed to be satisfied with that answer.

I've been shaving my legs for the past 5 years... 2-3 times a week. Even when I first started shaving, I wore shorts. I go everywhere in shorts, no one (And I mean no one) has ever comented on my legs.

I once asked my mother and sister about the best way to keep the hair off; I believe that was when they first noticed, or at least acknowledged my hairless legs, but it has been my experiance that people either don't pay attention or don't care enough to have a peak.

My advice: Don't sweat it the small stuff... and its all small stuff.

I was afraid of shaving the first few times... My parents said something one time and that was difficult to explain but I just said that all the guys who bike a lot do it and they didn't say anything. Im finding its becoming more and more acceptable, look around any gym...

I shave them all the time but my occupation dictates that I wear pants so most of the time I have on pants, on the occasion when I am in drab and shorts no one has even batted an eye. How many bodybuilders shave? How many actors shave? There has been quite a revolution towards this lately so I don't think anyone would say anything. My response would be I can't stand hairy legs and believe me I had them!!
