Yeah Ya know I love to shop enfemme and try on clothes is such a blast.... but I'm always looking for new places to go out enfemme.. Its really like seeing places I've been before through new eyes!!!

Lately besides shopping I've done a few casinos, taken a bike trip., walks around town... And on my list for the near future are riding the subway, the Carnegie Museum, and the Phipps Conservatory (plants and flowers), all enfemme.. I'm not into the club scene and can't get out in the evening or weekends very often..

So what do you think...... any good ideas where I should go next?

I have done the subway/train (BART in SF Bay area) for the Pride parade and I was nervous the whole time pretending that I was dozing off the whole time. Other ideas could be museums, movies, art galleries, expositions and fairs, tours of local attractions that are docent lead (may be hard in a dress and heels), tours of the local Civil War and American Revolution sites, tours of the lock and dams along the Ohio and Allegheny rivers, 1-2 hour cooking classes (Karren the instant homemaker!), factory and manufacturer plant tours, Heshey chocolate plant tour, shopping, dressing, eating and drinking, and just enjoying the beautiful day dressed as Karren.

Enjoy!

As soon as I saw you reply, Aluchi, ice skating enfemme came to mind!! Wink wink!! Lol. Been to movies enfemme... But not the theater... Not any factory tours!! Great idea!!! Also the History museum nea downtown.. Been to quite a few locks and dams enfemme but never a tour.. Another great idea!!

Funny though.... This afternoon the wife and I and a few friends spent 4 hours on the Monongahela and Cheat rivers between Point Marion and Lock and Dam No 9... Was a great bost ride..

Skydiving might add to the thrill, but Karen has a no-jeans policy. A skirt might get some attention in that situation, but probably not the kind she's looking for!

Sorry, no novel idea of where to go out dressed.

I do have to say though, Just after this avatar pic was taken, I went to my local supermarket and did some shopping for groceries.

I only got some essentials but nobody gave me a second look (except on guy on a bicycle who followed me around the car park hahahaha.

I play golf and have done that a few times in girl mode. Was lots of fun and improved my score a bit since I got to hit from the red tees.

Phipps Conservatory--while the weather is nice! Of course I am a botanist--just my opinion. I have not had the nerve for this so far, but...Think of the great pictures in front of the rose garden, standing next to the fountain, cuddled up to the garden statue. Do you dare ask strangers to shoot the pic? If you like more privacy, go when the weather is rotten. Rainy Tuesday mornings are good.

I admire your courage... I am almost there. I think you could go anywhere and be fine. Find the biggest rock you can and stand on it and yell " I am Karren, Hello world!", and go and be happy and free! LOL

I think that a bike trip is a great idea. I recently bought a women's bike and a small trailer for it. I'm going to get really courageous and go for an overnight by riding between two towns and staying in a motel--all enfemme! My biggest problem is to find the time to do it.
The other problem in going out like this is that--as I understand from GG friends--women usually go out in groups rather than solo. Nonetheless, I'm going to do my bike trip.
I also want to go on a hike, at least for a day.
I think that it would be fun to go to an auction too.

I am trying to make that first step outside of being dressed in my own backyard. You girls are inspiring.

For some time now I have been toying with the idea of a Distillery Tour. why not get attached to a factory tour ? You still have to get that swimming pic - bikini or not - even sunbating in the park.
Linnea, I have no idea why American women would ever want to ride their bikes in packs. I have never ever done that, it is just me alone when I do.
Mind, the trailer may well suggest that company is part of the trip, you do not need a trailer really, rear wheel packs would carry enough.
Looking forward to the results

Karren,

I love the casino scene too, and of course shopping and museums....one thing which is really neat is to get all dolled up and go to a broadway musical or play with a crossdressing theme: I caught John Lithgow in "M Butterfly" a few years back, and more recently I saw the Chicago production of "Rent"

Karren,

I have been to the Carnegie Museum on several occasions. I have also attended the symphony at Heinz Hall. If you haven't been to the Warhol museum en femme, you should try it. Andy had a soft spot in his heart for crossdressers, and it is easy to identify with a lot of his art. Cultural centers are wonderful places to go en femme. I have attended more than a few theater events as well. They are always such fun. Like you, the club scene is not for me.

Hugs,

Sally

I'd opt for something you already mentioned. Most large Cities have very good botanical gardens. The Missouri Botanical Gardens, (Shaw's Gardens) in St. Louis comes to mind right away.

What could be more feminine and picturesque than a pleasant afternoon stroll among such outstanding beauty. Would it not be a reflection of your femme taste and sensibilities?

These Gardens usually feature great little bistro/café's too. How pleasant to sit there and enjoy some coffee and feel the breezes gently caressing your legs. It would certainly add to my sense of feeling feminine.

So lets see, photo opportunities, beauty, pleasant feminine atmosphere, your heels tapping on the cobblestone paths. Sounds nice doesn't it!

Or....you could stop in at the local bowling alley, throw down for some frames, suck up some longnecks, and wear a micro-mini with a tacky bowling shirt.

I really love to create "mind pictures."

Peace and Love, Joanie

You have been to more places dressed than me, but last September when the wife and I were on vacation I got a chance to do something different. We were sitting in the hot-tub at our cabin in Pigeon Forge and we just were not getting into it. It was our last night in town and we decided to go back into the busy part of town. I went dressed with pants and blouse, some sandals wig and makeup. We drove around up and down the strip there and stopped a couple times and did a little walking around. It was after midnight and I got to enjoy being out dressed in another town.

An interesting topic Karen. Shopping does get a bit old particularly with limited funds. I wonder too whether we CDers are out looking for the next mountain to challenge as we build up confidence.

My latest has been flying en femme with some 6 flights over the last few weeks as a result of a hectic work schedule. It takes some organisation since I can't get ready at home but it sure is great for the confidence. You have to verbally and visually interact with a number of people plus likely sit next to people. I've even struck up conversations in matter of fact fashion with those sitting next to me and made some friends with the stewardesses on one flight.

It is good to hear suggestions for new things to do.

How about your Departmemt of Motor Vehicles to get a State ID (non driver) for Karren ?

Comes in handy when you (fabulous You!) get carded by a Publican or Peace Officer.

Hey Karren,

I think it is great to consider interesting and exciting places to visit enfemme.
I have enjoyed Casinos, CD Parties as well as Super Market shopping (for the more mundane experience.)
I like your idea about the Museum as I have wanted to go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art enfemme.
