When I was a kid (back in ancient times) there were no computers, no internet, no Photo Shop software. I would cut the face out of a picture of myself and then go through the Montgomery Ward or Sears catalog and put my face on the models in the women's clothing to see how I'd look in the various outfits.

By the way, those catalogs were a great source of "entertainment" for young boys. I'll let you se your imagination. :)

I never cut my pic out and placed it over photos in catalogs, but I sure did like looking at the pics of models in lingerie in them!

:OMG: You've got to be kidding Joyce! I thought I was the only one that did that.
We got both the Sears and Monkie ward catalogs. Spent many hours in those with my imagination .
I did lose my picture one time and was always in fear that I had left it in one of the books. Never did find it or hear anything about it.

Now why didnt I think to do that? I could have had alot of fun with that. When I was in high school I did cut out a picture of a model and graft it to a picture next to me and took a picture of it with a poleroid camera, and told all my buddies that was my girlfriend from another town.

I never took the whole wanting to be the girl thing that far at least not consciously. I did cut out the pictures i liked and past them onto other pages to make my own little porno mags. What does strike me, looking back is that I didn't have the fun in the way you allude to with them, I just liked looking at them. This was before I had discovered the joys of that which we do not speak of. It was a naughty feeling fun to look at them but it didn't mean then what it would mean now. It was kinda asexual but yet naughty. hmmm food for thought

I spent many a hidden hour thumbing through them and dreaming. Though I never did just that, I have spent plenty of time with them.

I never thought of the picture thing but I sure did enjoy that section of the catalogs. JC Penny, Sears, Speigel ... ahh .. many good memories. It's hard to even find lingerie like that anymore except in the thrift stores.

Hi Everyone: I have made colages out of VS catalogs. Cutting all the pictures out of just my fav model. I did it for Rebecca Romajn and for Adrianna Lima (she is so hot).

Another thing I have done is to cut out a picture of a VS model and framed it for my desk. If U find just the right picture so that when U crop it for the frame it doesn't have an item letter, or page number on it then it looks fabulous.

I has some friends thinking my X was a red hot young woman who was in reality Marissa Miller. She is the cute sexy young natural busty blond in VS that is almost always smiling. I love her for that. My friends thought I must have been crazy to let that woman get away.

Truly my X is almost that beautiful and brilliant as well as adventuresome strong athletic and dominate. Alas it was not my desicion to get divorced. We remain good friends and talk often.

JC Penney was my fave catalog. I never did the face cut-out thing, but I bet my mother often wondered why certain sections of the catalogue were dog-eared *lol* Wow, things have changed so much in such a short time....truly amazing.

Can't say I ever did that. Didn't mind looking, but never cut out myself and pasted it on.

I used to cut out the women who wear wearing leotards, tights and slippers in the 80's fitness magazines. I would then go out and look for some tights and leotards for myself. I started that when I was 14 years old and have never looked back since.

Well, I never thought of that! I did draw several pictures of myself with girl's hair and stuff, I'd trace the drawing and then add to it.
I do remember going through all the big catalogs when I was a kid, sneaking a look at the lingere section, hoping I didn't get busted by anybody. Ah yes, memories....

Yes, I did it too----Still do---but nowadays with my Adobe photo deluxe.

The tricks include shrinking the head to the correct proportions on the body and adjusting contrast, resoulotion and color to match the target image. Also cutting and blending on natural seams and blending afterward.

Its a lot better than my BCE (Before Computer Era) days. :D

I TOTALLY used to do that all the time, before I knew how to really use photoshop. I would usually use fredericks of hollywood catalogs though. I got pretty good at matching head sizes, usually used my grade school wallet photos.

I did that essentially, but not wanting to get in trouble for cutting up a photo(I was a "good" child), I'd cut out the ad, cut a hole where the models face is and put it over my photo with my face showing through, same effect, but without damaging a photo of me.

Every year when the Sears Christmas catalog would arrive, my first destination was the girl's toy section. I remember telling my mother that I wanted dolls and a doll house for Christmas, also they had costumes for girls, ballerina, princess, that sort of thing and I always asked for one of those. That was when I was little, 5 or 6, learned not to ask for that stuff back then, but I always kept looking and wishing.

Lots of fond memories of the old Sears catalogs.

Guilty your honor. I never did do the cutouts, but had many a pleasurable hour imagining myself in the lovely fashions in the catalog. At first it was only Sears, Penny's, and Wards, but I soon discovered Frederick's of Hollywood and another world opened to me, sexy undies and lingerie. So I was scanning the ads in pulp magazines for other catalog sources. I guess I over did it and the mail persons must have hated me for all the catalogs they had to stuff in my mailbox. Soon I began to get catalogs, offers, and other mail either address to Misss
or Mrs.
