Hi girls...

It's been a while since I've posted anything, mostly due to school being busy and my general shyness... But I do have an interesting story I'd like to share.

A few months ago I began getting close to a friend of mine, and eventually told her about me. Naturally it scared the hell out of me, but I trusted her and felt I didn't have anything to lose. She was surprised, but said it didn't bother her in the least. The matter was mostly dropped after that.

Well, we've been dating now for about two months, and as a result I had been suppressing much of my dressing. (It's still been about a month since I've dressed.) Well, this was making me miserable, so we talked a lot about it. She still assures me she's completely ok with everything, and even told me I was welcome to any of her things. She even made the comment "I think this bothers you more than me."

Without going into the mundane details, she's going to help me wax my legs for the first time... tonight. I'm nervous, embarrassed, and excited, all at the same time. We really like each other, and I don't want to push her to do things she's not comfortable with, or focus too much on it.

So I guess that's the story... if you feel I've left out any important details, feel free to ask for them.

Ashley,

I can understand your feelings, but you need to try to see, as your girlfriend already does, that you needn't be embarassed. Tonight will be one of the most magic nights of your life if you let it. No need to fight a beastly collection of emotions if you can simply tame them by mental discipline. Perhaps you know the old phrase, "A sop to Cerberus?" I do wonder, though I make no averrence, whether you might feel conflicted because of unexamined or unexpressed intimations of sexual preference beyond heterosexuality. You can probably quickly answer that to your satisfaction and if you are honest with yourself and with her, then put all your doubts and fears aside and have a great girly night tonight. I'm guessing there's going to be some nail paintin' goin' on! Good luck and relax, Carolyn

Anyway, you are very lucky and have fun tonight!

Ouch! :D

Just relax Ashley. If your girlfriend is ok with whats happening, then do it and enjoy it as much as you can through the pain. I hope she's experienced in waxing! :D

Ashley,

As said my the other girls, just relaxe and have fun with your freind.

My only suggestion is that you let her go at her pace and enjoy as much as she is willing provide.

Thanks for all the advice everyone... here's an update....

Unfortunately the waxing didn't go well at all. We used Sally Hansen Sugar Wax, and it was awful. Many strips ripped off, leaving the wax behind, sometimes the strip would tear, other times a tiny little patch would be ripped out. Half a jar of wax and an hour later, most of one leg below the knee was done; by this point we'd had enough. I messed around with it a little more today with much the same results, and eventually just shaved. Naturally I'm really disappointed.

Oh I'm sorry to hear it didn't go well. Ok... one point... sugar wax is the worst wax you can ever buy. It wasn't designed for large areas. You need to buy either a kit or strips with warm wax.

Something like this is ideal.
