View Full Version : Frustration

I haven't dressed before. Never. But I reeeeally want to.

I want to wear the skirt and stockings and high heels and make up.

But I feel so... maybe not guilty as such (but I can't think of another word).

And I'm frustrated. I don't know how- I don't know how to apply the correct make up, how to buy and hide all the different items of clothing etc.

I thought I could suppress it but I even dreamt about going to a place that can do all that for you last night. I can't help it.

What can I do? Where can I go? I'm 18, I think I could be fairly convincing but I have no confidence to go anywhere yet.

Please- can anyone offer me any real, useful, active advice?

Thanks for reading.

HI!!

Here is my best advice.

Relax. Crossdressing is an enjoyable experience. It should not be (but can be) frustrating.

If you want a good CD experience, go out to your local Wal-Mart...they have self check out...and purchase yourself the following items:

A bra, preferably something really sexy...a pair of panties that match, a pair of stockings, a skirt and a top. Then, go over to the health and beauty area and purchase lipstick, blush, eyeshadow, foundation, and some fragrance. If you are not going out, nothing else really matters much.

Oh, and btw, pick up some bubble bath and a few scented candles while you are there. Take a nice hot, long, bubble bath, and relax before you dress.

Once you are "en femme" many of your frustrations will melt away!!

I agree with Satiny... I did it - but beware - you WILL want more.
And you will be curious - what could I really look like? I suggest saving your pennies for a real make-over. I had one with a real pro (check the internet and ask the girls in your area) and the results are what you see here...

I will never be the same.
I have always known that She was a big part of me.

Seeing and feeling is believing -

I think most of us have been where you are now. Without knowing more about your situation I find it difficult to give specific advice.

What I will say is break it down into a series of more easily solvable problems. For instance you'll need to find somewhere to store your clothes, presumably where no-one else in the family will find them?

Then you'll need money to buy some clothes. The less clothes you have, the easier they wil be to hide. One skirt, maybe a couple of tops, tights, bra, panties could be bought for £30-40.

Shoes are different matter. If you're size 7 or less, the world is you oyster. 8's are stocked by most but not all shops. Above that and it's really a specialised retailer only. And shoes are bulky and difficult to hide so you might do well to leave purchasing them until you're confident that your hiding place is safe.

I'd advise against getting any make-up initially because of all the extra stuff you'd need to clean it off properly. Or maybe just get some lipstick. Hope this gives you some ideas.

Hey - you're in Brum, there are no excuses! :D

Welcome to the forum - I'm a Brummie GG :)

For starters, do the Primark, Mark 1 and other cheap stores to get a feel of what you like. They sell absolutely everything in these places at really low prices. I recently saw bra and knicker sets for a quid in Primark in all colours (that's around 50c for you Americans)!!

How to buy - you take a look, pick up what you fancy and take it to the check out ;)

Do you have any close GG friends? If so, pick one you can trust and ask her to help you out. My best friend at school was a guy and he came to me for help with applying make-up (mom walked in and told us off - only because we were doing it 'wrong', lol).

For shoes, try Oasis - they have some really sexy stuff there, I used to love shopping there when I was a lot younger but I'd never get away with it now, hehe. They do shoes in all sizes and so you'd find something that won't kill you and even shoes and boots specifically made for men but are definitely very girly. Also, it is a sort of fetishy place, all gothic and punk and so you generally find that they're more accepting of people on the edge of the 'norm'.

**Wishing I could get to Brum for some serious shopping soon**

Have fun!! :)

PS: You MUST do the rag market, my friend used to get some real bargains there (as did I actually, lol).

Did I write that post 30 years ago? Do not be ashamed of who you are. There is nothing wrong with crossdressing. There is nothing wrong with being a crossdresser.

Like the others said, there are some great places to shop in Brum and my fave was Oasis even though I was probably 3 x the age of most other shoppers in there when I used to go. They have some great sexy clubbing gear in there. If you eventually decide that you want to go out to a safe venue while dressed then there is at least one active TG group in Brum:

Aww, I'm miles outside of Brum these days :( And possibly about to move even further away. Major shopping trips (as fun as it sounds) is way off the menu at the moment unless you like the idea of 3 kids and a breastfed baby tagging along, lol. ;)

You don't have to pass to buy the clothes, places like Mark One are always so jam-packed that nobody looks to see if you're a man or a woman buying and in Oasis they really, really don't care.

I had a sneeky peek at your photo last night and you're a really pretty guy - I think with make-up you'd be able to go the whole hog and look very convincing, if that's as far as you want to go. If you really have no GG friends you can ask for make-up advice, I'll find time later to browse the net and find some websites that have make-up advice. If you're desperate, tell your mom you fancy becoming a 'goth' and ask her how to do the eyeliner, mascara, face powder and lipstick. :)

Experimenting and even getting it slightly wrong is all part of the fun - even us GG girls had to learn and find what we like and what suits us, it's no different!

If your hair is the length and style in your photograph, a pretty hair slide at the side to hold back the fringe is all you need there. When you do get the make-up, make the most of your big eyes and full lips - but most of all, have fun!

For make-up, start off with the cheapo stuff in the pound shop. It really is rubbish, but it will give you a chance to experiment and find the colours that suit and feel good. :)

Keep in touch. xx

:)

If I know GGs, she's likely to be less embarrassed than you are and probably relish the idea of introducing you to make-up and how to dress!

Be certain before you say a word that she is the right friend, that she isn't the sort to be totally freaked out and make you feel like a weirdo (you're not by the way, but her reaction will have a huge impact on how you approach this). You also need to be absolutely positive that if this is something you want to keep quiet that she can be trusted impeccably.

If you tell her, let her know that you've considered carefully and chose her because you trust her, value her opinion and know that she will keep this to herself.

I'd have been younger than you are now when my best friend (GM) knocked the door and spluttered out, "I want to look like you, can you do my make-up?". It might not have been the most ideal way to approach it, but I didn't even flinch, just grabbed the make-up bag and off we went. :)

He even went home in it, lol!

Good luck and it will be so much better for you if you can share this with someone, but if not - hey, you'll still have lots of fun! :)

Yee I think she can b trusted.

Is it weird to feel really guilty and shameful about it all immediately after..... um...... masturbating?

NE thoughts?

:D No, its not weird, its normal. I just about remember being 18  & felt shameful about masturbating whether I was dressed or not. It's something we ALL do, & why? Cos it feels nice :D

Ooohhh - & another thing - if you do it, & you find you don't like it (the dressing, not the masturbating!) that doesn't matter either, you just found out something else about yourself, but you had the guts & tried & thats cool. (Sometimes fantasies are better than the real experience)

Somehow I doubt you won't like it though :)

To be a little more serious, you probably will get a sexual thrill from it, I know when I started that was the primary reason, thats normal too.

You have come to the right place, have a look around, there is plenty of great advice. I used to shop with a partner GG, but since flying solo, have to shop on my own. Just relax. You get different reactions from curiosity, maybe a giggle (they don't "know" what you are buying them for) to " my, aren't you brave shopping for your lady" giggle. I wish I had found this place years ago, and you are only 18 - if this is right for you, then you have a great support group here. You go gurl.

Ohh come on!!! Instead of coming here whining about things why not channel your energies and take some inituative and try something!!

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to google "Crossdressing" and find a bunch of sites that tell you how to do damn near everything!! And the book stores or Amazon.com have plenty of crossdressing books!!

No ones going to take you by the hand and tell you everything you need to know about crossdressing, you have to make an effort... So get going, buy some clothes and makeup.... And if you don't make mistakes, your not doing anything!! IMHO

Hey, give the kid a break, Karren. He's 18 ffs, & looking for some moral support, & trying to find a few like minded people.

Just coming on this site is a step for him, think about how many members we have here who can't/won't out themselves to their SO's?

I can't see any whinging.

I got started at 16. The girlfriend I was seeing at the time talked me into doing it for a costume party. Little did I realize that she was lying to me and just wanted to see me in a skirt. When we got to the "party" I was the only one there dressed up. :o

However, I got the thrill of a lifetime. Walking through town, getting on busses, etc. and realizing that everyone thought I was a girl. I even had guys checking out my legs. I was hooked from then on.

So I say don't worry about it and just enjoy it - don't feel guilty about it.
