I live in NC, but I have never been to Ashville. I hear it is a fairly liberal town. Hopefully your stay will be enjoyable!

I have never been to Asheville to dress but a few sisters living there tell me it is a very accepting place and keep inviting me to drive over (4+ hours) and spend the weekend.

Hi Baley,
I lived in Asheville for 3 years prior to moving to Florida a lil' over a year ago. It's a truly awesome town with lots of touristy places to explore while en-femme. Some unique shopping in some of the galleries too. There are several T-friendly clubs downtown- just google to find 'em. But... be careful if you wander to nearby towns. Some are like going back in time 50 years- very ignorant & redneck!!
All in all, Asheville is one of the coolest places I've ever spent time in & I recommend it highly as a travel destination, especially for my sisters here. Many call it the "Sedona of the East". I plan to move back there eventually (hopefully by next year), & even though Ft. Lauderdale is even more T-friendly, I can't wait to get back there!
Oh yeah, whatever you do, don't miss the Blue-ridge Parkway- sooo beautiful!
Wish I was going with you,
Veronica
P.S.- There's also a TG group there you might wanna contact:

I haven't yet met anyone in the group, but I plan to as soon as I get back. There's another group in Black Mountain (10 miles East) but I forget the name. Have fun sweetie!

This photo was taken more north on the Parkway so the elevation is not as high. And don't pass up the Biltmore Mansion there in Asheville....nothing like it this side of France.

Though I did not go out en femme in Ashville, I thoroughly enjoyed a visit there a few years ago. I went to the Biltmore and visited churches there (some wonderful architecture) and saw the house where Thomas Wolfe lived. I wish that I had known that it was a good place to go out as a CD.
Good luck with your trip!

While passing through North Carolina I purchased several bottles of Baltimore Estate wine.
The Merlot was excellent. Have not tried the chardonnay yet. Both were in the $10/bottle or less range. While you are there , sample the local color and their wine. You won't regret it !!!
