I went out all dressed up for the 1st time. It was awesome. No one in the store looked at me funny either. I went to Fred Myers cause they have self checkout machines which was much easier. Its not that I have a fear of talking to people just my voice, but what ever. Wanna know the funniest thing of all? Not a person in the store cared how I looked but I got looks from other people in cars at lights and driving around:heehee: Well now I must do that again but go to a better store.

Grats Cool... WTG, WD (and any other acronym that may be appropriate ;) )

It feels good to let your true self out. I went for a walk in the park the other day in skirt, heels and camisole with the wife and kids after supper. Very invigorating and liberating.

Again, good for you... remember the feeling ... I am happy for you! :D

I remember the first time I went out dressed. Tense at first but when I realized as you did that no one was reacting I relaxed. It was wonderful. I am glad that you had a great time. Stay true to youself.

Congrats on your first outing. The first time is usually the hardest time. It will get easier and easier as you go out.

Congratulations! I'm sure the next time will be easier. You must live in the Pacific Northwest. As far as I know, that is the only area that has Fred Meyers. I grew up in Portland, Oregon.

I don't pass, at least since my dear wife passed away. She did my makeup and wig. But I frequently do go shopping dressed entirely enfemme. Usually get a few "looks," but that is all. Most people just don't care, unless you are trying to make a statement like "look at me, everybody!"

Awesome! Congratulations! I'm glad your first time went so well. I recently had my first time out also & I was a nervous wreck for much of it, but it ended better than I could have hoped. It sounds like you were a lot more relaxed than me- good job! I hope we both remember well, because there's only one first time! Best of luck to you on future outings!

Peace, Love, & Bravery,

Veronica

Congratulations!! It's a must to be seen, least for me. Some of my most memorable times were trips to the World of Wigs where the owner treated me like a queen.

Everyone's lives are sooooo busy these days that they could care less what anyone else is doing.... and if you have money stores don't care either!! lol Try a casino!! They will certantly take your money no matter how your your dressed... they do mine!! hehe My son now sports a mohawk and funny thing.... it's not even good for any shock value anymore... imho...

I think that guys, especially, feel more comfortable with staring at women in cars. If you want to avoid the attention, which might be a good idea, do what GG's do. Never pull up along side another car... hang back, stopping further back.

Never mind this day and age, once you are over the shock its fun. Like Karren says, people are to self protectively busy to notice, much less remember.
Never mind the voice either.

My favorite saying is "do what you fear most, and you will control fear". You are on the path to freedom, keep walking it. Many of my friends ask how I am able to comfortably speak in public and I use this saying as an answer, I only wish I could practice what I preach with regards to my female side.
