I was at the county clerks office "taking care of some business." I wasn't attempting to be crossed, but I was wearing a simple mid thigh skirt, 1" heel sandals and T. There was a flash of light from behind me, when I turned around, there was a lady standing there smiling. She says to me, "you look great! I have been trying to get mu husband to try a skirt." I just smile and said thanks.

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Interesting. You weren't trying to CD but you were wearing a skirt and heels. Honey, what is your definition of CDing?
You did well anyway and were obviously appreciated.

I don't go for the androgenous look myself - just all femme or all masculine, so I have to say that hasn't happened to me. However, when dressed femme, I have often had my photo taken by strangers - usually with them posing with me. This has happened a number of times when out with other CD's at restaurants, museums, and some other places. Only in a few rare cases was this done by someone who did not ask permission first. Most people are really polite about it.

OK, OK, I know. Let me explain, and please be gentle, I am very new to the forum. I enjoy being effeminate, I enjoy womens clothing. However, I am not a "little black dress" and 4" heel kind of gal. If I were a (what is that anacronym) genetic female, I would be in the granola girl category. I enjoy a skirt and heels - what can I say. It reflects my attitude and my soul.

It was just a very pleasant situation.

I don't have a lable for your brand of CD-ing but I dig it. Not for me, but I admire a guy in a dress that has the stones not to try and pass, its just fun and breezy. Butterfly Bill, Chucks, and (Ashley?) in Florida come to mind.

I get what you mean, you don't feel like going full drag, make-up, hair, etc. In a mid thigh skirt and heels, no matter what you call yourself you definitely get to be in the club somewhere!!

Good for you.

I dress that way every day. Just got back from a road trip, FL>PA>FL, and the guys I was traveling with, always let me enter the diner/truck-stop, first. Near the end of the trip, they told me that they love to watch the peoples reactions, as I enter the room, giggle.
I was wearing blue tank-top, blue capries, pink ball cap, pink belt, blue purse, 2" heel sandals, 2" earrings, lipstick and mascara.

I don't know why, but someone snapping off a pic of me, would really make me angry?????(the nice word to describe how I would feel).......that would even be true if I was dressed as a guy....just seems so rude and obnoxious. Anyway if you enjoyed the experience, thats all that matters.

Personally, In guy mode I REALLY hate having my picture taken. In girl mode, I would certainly want to control the lighting, the pose, and have final editorial control over which get deleted! And I would say if it were me I'd be paranoid about it. I think that adds to the charm of the story thought that you didn't mind. Paints kind of a picture of your openness.

I would have invaded her space a little with questions about why she likes her husband in a dress, and any associated kinks that I could think of. Not to make her back off so much as just voyeuristic wondering on my part.

I am pretty sure that on two occasions someone took a cell phone picture of me. I don't want my face with my outfit plastered on the web! I don't know for sure that they took it, but I have a gut feeling they weren't about to make a call!

Rob, you are the guy. Proud of you for being who you want to be and being out and about doing it. I do not have the balls to do that around this small town that we live in or even anywhere near by. Some day after the kids are away from home and we do not have to worry about our jobs I want to be out and about like you. Just a guy in a skirt and other feminine items.

I dress in "girly boy" mode all the time but I've never been out in a skirt and low heels in boy mode. Mostly its women's jeans, t-shirts, tops and cardigans. To me, what I do is pushing the envelope quite a bit. I'm making it very obvious that I'm a guy openly wearing women's clothes ..... but what you're doing ... in a skirt and heels - phew! that's really going for it!

That said, I do understand the attraction, and I think it's great that you have the courage to do it. Getting your picture taken without being asked first is a bit rude IMO though. What did you say to her? I wouldn't know whether to be offended or flattered!

I go to parties alot, and I have 3 friends who do professional photography, so they all love taking pictures of anyone, and everyone. And anything. Problem is, they usually catch in the most awkward poses ever. One picture I got taken at a club on new years of me dancing makes it look like I'm missing a front tooth, and have some weird deformities.

Just as an example, Sunday we were driving to best-buy, and there was a girl on a bicycle in the road waiting for the light to change. My friend snapped a pic with his camera, and I'm like "uhhh....why?"

But if someone takes a picture of you, and you are the focus of it, and posts it anywhere public without getting a model release form signed, then you have the right to force them to take it down. If you are on private property (like a night club) and someone in the club takes a picture of you, then you can't say anything, because it is assumed by entering their property, you give consent.

...I have heard that women are more accepting towards guys that wear female clothing without trying to pass as a woman.

I guess they do not like the idea that most cd's are trying to deceive everyone.

It is still the summer, with the weather being warm. It makes more sense for guys to wear skirts rather than pants. The reason being that a skirt is cooler and more comfortable.

The only thing stopping everyone doing this is confidence.

Hope you meet a lot more women with that attitude.

Enjoy life!

No this hasn't happened to me BUT, in 2006 when I was about to meet 3 GG's and a guy from Texas for a chat room get together, while I was standing at our meeting point in my new full length black dress with my beauty pageant sash on (another story based on a nickname I use in that chat room), I was asked by this bit burly tatood guy if he could have his photo taken with me. I smiled and said sure!! Then I posed with my arm around him and had the photo taken. Now do you think I would have asked to have the same shot taken on MY camera? Hell no - I spaced that right out. It was a trip though and I had fun. The next two days of our gtg was a lot of fun too. The girls particularly derived great enjoyment out of watching people watch me. I think this is in my personal history on my website so if you want to read more - you can certainly go there by clicking on the link in my signature.

For me I am out in drab or en femme - no in between. I do my best to look my best. Naturally I want to be noticed some.
