Today Kat and I went to my future daughter-in-law's bridal shower, it was my first ever invitation into the "club". I had such a wonderful time! Her family knew about me but they didn't know what to expect, but it turned into an instant love fest for everyone. Not only was everyone wonderful to me, but I could see that the smiles were genuine. I explained to them about me, and while doing so her mom reached over and gently patted me on the back, I don't think I've ever felt so touched with such kindness in my life...just had to share, I'm so happy!

It was a great time, I didn't know such wonderful people really existed!
The bride to be, Sara, did come with Chris and have drinks at the Be-all, Tree met them, such cuties in love!!

Oww, I'm all choked up again, I had a great heartfelt talk with her Mom in the kitchen, so understanding and compassionate about people and the heart!!

Pictures, I do have some of the bride opening presents!!

Oh, and her Mom shared pics on her cell phone of the "Dress", it's Jessica McClintock(spl), such beautiful pearl detailing, she will be sooooo beautiful!!

Karen didn't even have to play those silly word games, that was refreshing, however!!:D

Karen I am so happy that you have found acceptance with another "family" as well. I have imagined many times how it would feel to be accepted at such an event.

I was at my sister in law's baby shower, they used the social hall I belong too and I had to be there, but I just kept imagining that I didn't have to be this disinterested guy standing in the back of the room. To just be able to participate would be so wonderful.
