Hey Im back, was a new member short while ago. Opening to Isis in a big way once again. I feel like I want to open up to her in a ceremony of some sort......a ritual awakening. Any suggestions?

I believe the tradition is to sacrifice your leg hairs to the plughole god at the beginning of the season. If you can accompany this with a bottle of wine and fully fashioned stockings, that'll probably be enough of a ceremony.

sounds like a good tradition........and something I need to do anyways!! A bottle of wine is a very important piece, as always. And yes some new hose......... Anyone think of other symbolic measures I can take??? I've been thinking of a circle of candles, and calling upon certain gods and goddesses...............

Well, since Isis was an Egyptian mythological goddess (and sister to Osiris -- and between the two we can trace back to the oldest known "secret societies" which gave later inspiration to freemasons and college fraternities and sororities), then how about a TOGA party (everybody gets dressed, in a sense, CDers and not)???!!!!

First, use a handbroom to sweep away all negativity, and you could symbolically sweep away masculinity at the same time....I would choose candles in the femme colors that you wish to embody....Place them in a circle around you....Fill a chalice with wine and add some crushed fennel seeds to embody the "sensual" aspect....Take two white taper candles (ie: The God to the left and the Goddess to the right), place a thicker candle in the middle (that being the unity candle)....Place a stick of incense in front of The God and The Goddess candles (you might want to choose a feminine scent for The Goddess, perhaps lavendar or vanilla?)....Honor the God first for all that he has given you and thank Him, raise your cup to Him and drink....Then honor The Goddess, dedicate yourself to Her and ask her to fill and embody you with all that is feminine....annoint yourself with a scented oil at your temples, that your heart would beat in time with The Goddess....Annoint your forehead that your thoughts would reflect Hers and ask Her to fill your mind with knowledge and Power....Annoint your feet that you might walk in Her footsteps and your hands that you might do Her bidding....Meditate and receive all that She will send to you....Then snuff out the candles, first The Unity Candle, then The God (with thanks)...and lastly, The Goddess....Don't blow the candles out, snuff them out instead because blowing them out is abrupt and considered rude....Then snuff out each of the candles around you one at a time before leaving the circle....As you do so, think of the power and the meaning behind the Ritual.....Maybe keep a statue or wall hanging of Isis in your house as a reminder....These are just a few ideas....search Pagan sites, there are a lot more ways to honor a Goddess....Blessed Be....**Trey**

Of course, you would need an alter and alter cloth. How about the empty overturned drawer that held all your male underwear, which of course are now in the sacrificial fire in the cauldron, and a piece of lace. Blessed be. :hugs:

Definitely......and I thought afterward that I should have mentioned sprinkling sea salt around the room to keep the negativity away after she sweeps the area.....and, if you are going to take this the whole way, a Pentacle would be good because she could meditate on it and feel her connection to the elements....I love chanting when I do MY Rituals....I take incense and make the sign of the Pentacle over My Alter Paten with the "I am" chant....Very centering....Peace and Blessed Be....**Trey** (The underwear drawer idea is GREAT, by the way)

Opsie!! That was a typo!! I ment Virginians!! And there's lot of them around!!

But maybe she should just set her male clothing on fire.. For safety sake please remove the clothing from your body before incineration!! Also do not atempt to try this in your home or near flamable material.. Results may vary... Not legal in all states..................

An awakining sounds more like a bad movie on the SciFi channel... "The Transvestite Awakening" - "Patrick (aka Patty) puts on a frock and heels and terrorizes a small english town"

I don't get what the big deal is anyway....Why don't you just dress up and go out to the friggin mall like everyone else does!!! This way you don't have to invite anyone to your party (ok so I'm cheap) and you have a captive audience!! Feel free to take a dip in the mall fountain if you want a ritual...

That's up to you, of course....Depends on which way you will feel the transformation the most....On one hand, you might feel it more if you go in male and come out feeling female and then go bathe, shave, dress and celebrate your new femininity....The other school of thought is that you might want to do all of that first....In essence, presenting yourself to The Goddess as the new you and embracing all that the new you entails....Think it over and see which feels the most right to you....The thing about a Ritual is that you can do it any way you like....and whatever way will make you experience it the way that you most want to....**Trey** :)

Ask away.....I was also thinking that you might want to incorporate the "Goddess Chant" into your Ritual....There is a great recording of it by Inkubus Sukkubus (They are a Pagan band)....The chant is "Isis Astarte Diana Hecate Demeter Kali Inanna"...You can either download it from online or PM Me and I will send you the file on Yahoo or something....As far as good sites, Witchvox.com is one....also, Pagan.com is good....I can recommend more if you need them....The chant is good because it's used to draw feminine energy by calling upon various Goddesses for it....thought you might like that....Need more info, just ask....Blessed Be....**Trey**

I just realized that they are all goddesses. Would I chant their names at the beginning of the ceremony while lighting the candles? How many times should I chant their names? Looking forward to checking out those pagan sites. And I am now really looking forward to putting energy into this. Do you think the new moon would be an appropriate time for such a ceremony, or full? A healer told me awhile ago I should look to the new moon more often.

You can chant it while lighting the candles around you, that would be a good time....Chant it as many times as it takes to light the candles (this will draw the Goddesses to Your Ritual)....You might want to say a special Blessing to Isis, as She seems to be your desired Goddess to embody, maybe even speak a little dedication to Her....If the healer told you to look to the New Moon, than I would do the Ritual then....but you could also do it during the full Moon, as well (all Magickal workings are most effective at those times, I usually do Mine at the Full Moon, but that's My preference)....IM Me on Yahoo and I will send you that song file for the Chant....I'm really excited for you as you embark on your new journey and would be willing to light a candle for you and send you some good energy that day, as well, if you would like....Blessings....**Trey**
