I just spent all day primping and preening and becoming Ronni. I had just dressed in my little black dress and hose and was feeling great considering the acceptance that I got yesterday when there was a knock at the door. I looked out the window and there was my son and daughter in law with the kids. What to do, let them stand in the cold while I de-Ronnied or let them in? I chose to let them in and I guess it worked out OK. My daughter in law, who I came out to yesterday, was suprised to see me in a dress and my son could not look at me for about 10 minutes but in the end it worked out. I had a talk with my son and while not supportive, he accepted me for who I am. As he put it, it is the least pervertive thing that I have done. Not to sure how to take that but I am glad for his acceptance. They stayed and visited for a couple of hours and then I offered them supper to which they agreed. After eating, they decided to put the kids to bed and so they are now staying the night. YAY. I feel so free and welcomed now that I want to progress my transition to the fullest, sans SRS. If I can get enough cosmetics to mask my redneck face, I want to go out clubbing and shopping. I feel so good that I want to burst. I was so afraid of non acceptance and ridicule that it scared the pee pee out of me but it all worked out and now all I can say to you all out there is that honesty is the best policy, just choose your words with care.

Sometimes the fear of doing something is the worst thing. The actual problem can go away when you take the right actions. Congratulations!

Absolutely correct, fear is horrible, being outed is most often a positive experience. I just wish we could have seen your face when you saw your family at the door. Good on you, girl!

OK, so, now you should be up to a little road trip to the east, 4 or 5 hours. I think we should celebrate, girl! So glad for you. My similar situation was when my youngest son was house-stting, and my closet door opened itself (sticky latch) to reveal 12 pairs of size 12 ladies shoes hainging neatly in a shoe sorter on the back of the door. It all worked out.
Hooray for you !! w.

Hon, I would love to but after moving the kids back from the coast, I am so broke I can't even pay attention. I will definately take a raincheck, though. :D
