I once had a thread on the forum about being honest about someone I was attracted too. (http://crossdressers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63579) I'm thinking this question is part of that.

I'm dressing again "Yea!! :cheer: but I've noticed that I'm starting to dress like the woman that dumped me. I didn't notice it before but I bought the same outfits and the same bra that she wears and I was thinking of setting my hair the same way. (freaky huh?)

I stopped myself and suddenly I'm wondering whats that all about?

Any Ideas?

I guess I'll be the first to put my :2c: worth in. I may not be right but it sounds to me that there is a big enough part of you that misses her in a way, which I don't think is wrong. It's normal to miss someone that you have been around for a while. So like I said I think it is a part of you that misses her and to wear and get ur hair done the same as her is for that reason. I would probably do the same thing if my SO and split. But like I said it's just how I looked at it. Thats my :2c:

I bought a wig, AFTER I show it to Dee I realize it is in the same shade as the box of dye she sends me for. (Loreal, and she is worth it.) SHe noticed and is going lighter a shade or two.

... with first wife. As a matter of fact, I still have some of her clothes.
But, if you think about it, you must have found her to be attractive, and if you want to appear (dress) to be an attractive female, then why do you feel some concern about dressing the same way (without being obsessive, of course)? We are, after all, a product of our past.

So, just like a fine old single-malt, if it is enjoyed in a responsible manner, it should not be a problem. Just MHO.

Interesting, it must just be a subconscious thing.

Why wouldn't you want to dress like and emulate a female who myou were attracted to? Think of her as a role model of the woman you want to be.

I think you were with her because you found her attracive...or at least her appearence. You also want to see yourself as attractive so you view yourself that way as well. Enjoy.

A lot of times we somewhat imitate the people we admire Hon even unconsciously. Nothing wrong with that at all in my book.:hugs::happy:

I,ve got to admit, ever since i bought a brunette wig [same as my ex wife,s hair colour] whenever i wear it i am tempted to do my makeup in the same style as her:heehee:, but just dress in a way she wouldn,t.[tarty]

I went to buy a pair of female glasses and when they arrived I went to work that evening and the first words out of my ex's mouth were are you wearing my glasses. It turns out I bought a pair that were almost a perfect match to her's without noticing it.

Personally I'd just chalk it up to being a prevert and move on.. Lol. Sometimes being shallow has its advantages!! Hehe
