Actually, you look great in that photo. I would continue on with the girlfreinds advice; she seems to know what she's talking about. I like sexy business women and you look the part in that photo. The only thing I might add is a sophisticated pair of eye glasses. Damn, that's a hot photo...

I suppose I'm showing my age here Sherlyn, but I actually prefer this outfit. You look wonderful! And I don't think it's conservative at all, only in comparison with some other skirts I have seen.

I think a lot of us wear things at home that we would never wear in public!!!
Virginia has her style when she goes out "conservatively sexy." I have a real problem with the way that most GG's dress at malls, restaurants, super markets. It seems that they no longer take pride in being female and their appearance confirms it. Unkept hair, shoddy make-up (if any) loose jeans and over-sized sweat shirts. I guess I do standout some, but that is the way it goes. I have told the story of being called a "****" by a GG as I was leaving an afternoon movie, "The Last Samauri." I had on a white silk blouse, buttoned to the collar, with a small gold chain necklace, a somewhat tight, knee length gray skirt and black, calf-high 3" heeled boots, carrying my coat. I did not in anyway look like a ****, but then considering the way that every other women in the theathe was dressed, (as described above) I guess that is what drew the comment!

Sherlyn,
You look absolutely wonderful and your right short skirts can draw to much attention. I tend to wear skirts about the same length as you picture in this thread to down around by ankles.
On advantage about longer skirts, is that I do not blind people with my white legs.

Babe you pull it off either way just fine. It's the face that makes it work for ya. Just don't try to look like these young girls wearing 'drape' skirts that cover all the way down to their platform combat boots, or jeans that have those 70s bell-bottoms(and are falling off their waste). Not only do I see no style in this but I'm sorry it doesn't get my attention in a good way. Besides you dress with a sense of what you know looks good on you, and it works. Ok I dress sexy and very little conservative(for a 22 yr old) but I have a sense of what makes me look good, and where some of these real girls I've seen get their fashion sense escapes me. Kew's right in that attracting attention isn't necessarily the thing you should go for. Blending in works just as well, and better sometimes(like if you're a CD) Great picture btw. Talk to ya later

I also think that outfit looks very good on you. It's very similiar to outfits worn by office girls every day. If I were to venture out, I'd probably select an outfit like it myself.
The 'Trampy' look is quite fun, but, usually not too practical. Ya don't see many GG's with 5" heels and short skirts in the malls or walking down the street. Working the street, maybe ;)

I think you look absolutely beautiful. That outfit is perfect. I also like short skirts, but there is a time and a place for everything. The skirt and blouse combination is a favorite of mine. A black above the knee skirt and a pretty white blouse, with short heels is very sexy and classy at the same time. Classy, and comfortable with your surroundings, works the best everytime, in my opinion. Here's a picture of me going out to a dance club last night, where you can get away wearing anything, and most do. This is very conservative, and dressed down for that place, but I felt comfortable. I'm getting way too old to pull of the young tramp thing, anyway..LOL

You look great (as usual!).
I think the average GG can handle the 'looking feminine' bit better than they can handle their guy looking trampy. It's that old sex thing again. Either they find the sexy look disturbing (for whatever reasons) or they feel that their SO is maybe making themselves look silly.
Then again, what do I know. I dress for fun indoors. I think red shoes go with EVERYTHING! (And they do actually, if you've only got one pair of shoes!)
[I'm still having nightmares about the Fushia shoes thread.]

Hi Girls
Well conservative dressing is right up my alley since I'm an older in my 50's cross dresser.I got my conservative dressing from my mum.She looked wonderful in her business clothes that she wore.I enjoyed seeing her in a office suit as much as seeing a good looking real girl in a mini skirt.I think too much emphyses is being put on the younger girls in our group since most of you are in your 20's.I'm in my 50's! I'm an older TV! The clothes fit the person,& for me it's dressing my age.I look much better in a office suit than I do in a mini skirt.I have vary shaply legs, but that doesn't mean I'll be parade'in around in a mico mini any time to soon!
The old saying in the fashion world you wear what makes you look good. In my case conservative clothes.I think a younger CD would look just as much out of place in a ladies business suit or a long skirt,as I would in her mini skirt.Think about it have you ever seen a older woman in mini skirt,& seen how out of place she looks in it? The moral to this story is AGE Sorry girls but some of us aren't young any more,& trying to be will only degrade us that much more in most cases but surely not all?The age of how you dress as a female anymore is blurred since a lot of gals in their 50's are wearing short hem lines these days.Where do we gals draw the line between liberal,& conservative dressing? Well I guess you are only as old as you feel,& so goes our dressing.
YOU GO GIRL'S

I don't know Sherlyn,,,,I can see who wears the pants in this relationship.
Then again, this might not be to bad, you don't wear pants anyway.
Sherlyn, I say, standup for your trashy look, stand up to Kew.
You know whats next, your shower curtains, then the drapes, soon you'll be drinking nothing but mineral water. Nip this in the bud now, Sherlyn before it is too late.
Amelie
PS-The outfit does look kinda nice, sort of like Elsa she-wolf of the SS.

I was thinking along the same lines, Amelie. Kind of a prison guard theme. But you look great either way, Sherlyn.
I have the opposite situation. My gf loves me in minis, as do I, but I normally like to wear a longer, flowing skirt and a nice light sweater. sexy, but understsated. But who am I to argue with her. She's the boss, too.
Hugs,
Melissa :)

ty girls... Amelie its not quite that bad ...she's not really like that ..her concern is attention when im out she worries that if im noticed i may get all weirded out ..so she suggests not dress soooooo noticable ie short skirts til im more at ease with public places. OhhhhhhH Yaaaaa lmfaoooooooo hmmmmmmm prison guard or Elsa She Wolf now theres a trashy thought ...heh conservative but with other motives ....like hmmmm need cuffs and a whip .... innocent but nasty ...lol i never thought bout how that kinda looks like a uniform : ]

Sherlyn,
As one of the more "seasoned" girls here, I appreciate the fact that you are evaluating several different looks. At nearly 60, I would look pretty silly in thigh high boots and a micro skirt! You, lovely Sherlyn, have pulled off every look you have attempted. Youth does have it's advantages <sigh>.

I try to have a variety of skirts and pants, so that have a good choice to wearing something for the occasions. Sometimes it an ankle lenth skirt, sometimes short. sometimes a the skirt hem is at the knee. I have worn tight pencil skirts in public and skirts with a bias cut. I even have ladies pants but will almost always choice a skirt or dress. It kind of fun to have different looks and styles when going out en femme.

I love to dress conservatively, because I know that my powerful underlying femininity will break out.
But 4" stilettos and a tight skirt are more fun...

Sherlyn,I do not beleive you could look bad in anything. You have a shape that never quits.Even in jeans or pants, you wold look like a princess.A body that never quits will always look great no matter what you wear.A great pair of heels will make anything look fantastid. You got it going on,so just keep going.Fantastic!! ;)
