OK, I've only been here a few months, but you know what? A LOT of you gals have improved SOOO much over that time. So, time to take a look back and see how much better we've gotten.

The rules of this thread are easy:

1) Post 2 pics. Post the best earliest picture you have. It should contrast with your best latest picture...

2) Post HELPFUL, CONSTRUCTIVE Criticisim on how others have improved AND how they can continue to improve their look.

The goal here is to encourage the newbies here that with practice and time, you too, can improve!

Wow, this is EXACTLY what I wanted to see!

All of you have shown improvement! And just think, with more practice we'll get even better!

What I see is improvements mostly in pose and hair. Just that feminine presentation thing. Plus, improvements in makeup and choice of clothes.

The first pic is me about 5 years ago. I had never thought of taking pics before that and this is a bit crude.

The second, ok please forgive me, I have posted various samples of it already, but it is my best photo to date I think. It was taken about a week and a half ago. I do think I have learned a bit about makeup and have more of a sense of my individual style, but I have a lot to learn. :)

I hope this works, I haven't tried to insert images this way before. Here goes ;)

I believe you have hit on one really huge secret concerning photographing ourselves.

Makeup is fun and it really does make huge differences, but lighting lighting lighting !!

It makes so much difference.

Picture in blue is the first time I tried on one of my wife's dresses about 18 months ago, pic in black is my most recent shot. Maybe you've already seen my pink dress, but I guess it's my favorite.

Not so for me, some of you look every bit as good the 1st time as later, even with practice. I guess there's something magical about your first time!

How wonderful you all look! To me, the most astonishing thing is that in your second photos, you all look so much better. Why? You have relaxed and have big smiles on your faces. These smiles all come from inside of you, and aren't the "pasted on" smile that we see in so many photos. How nice to see that you have relaxed and are able to enjoy yourselves this much. basicly and its obvious to me, that the later photos, Its not about hair makeup or clothes, its the expressions on your faces and the confidance acheived it shines in the pictures

Well let's see if I can figure this out. Although I have been dressing for nearly 40 years, it has only been in the last few that I started taking pictues and really going out. The first is from Nov 2001 and the second from a wonderful trip to Chicago for an Island Girls meeting and a makeover by Janna. Love the city, love going out as Tiffany :)
