Wig Help

I think I'm just going to have to deal w/it, but hopefully not. I've got my new (first) wig. I tried to get the best color for me and I feel I'm off the mark a bit. I went w/a golden blonde thinking that it would be not as bright as the other blondes. Well, golden, is well, GOLDEN. Too shiney, bright. I need to tone it down somewhat, if possible.

Anyone have any suggestions?

OK, so I guess the answer is I can't do anything about it.

So how about this, how do you girls find out which hair color works for you?

I try to go by my eye color and brows. It would be hard for a dark brunette to be blonde although not impossible. It's more about style than color as what works best with you. ;)
