Hello everybody here are the rules of crossdressing out in public.
1.When you go out in public you must wear a wig that matches your natural hair color.
2.Don't go out without make-up
3. Act like a real girl don't be your self
4. Wear out fits that make u look older then you are.
5. No mini skirts and no red lip stick
6. Talk to everybody you see that are atlest 10 inches away from you
7. wear only pants b/c GG only wear pants so i was told.
8. Try to find long skirts to wear out and a top with long sleeves if you see others doing it.
9. Don't try to make your self look to good b/c other ppl may notice you.
10. Don't stand out blend in and no high heels.
Thats all the rules that i was told so far i hope everybody goes by them?

Your intention is a honorable one, and you have a few good points, but a few odd ones too. Your list is too onesided and doesn't cover individuality.
It can't be the good to create the standard CD by rules.

Having read, studied, and memorized the entire 1843 page "book of rules" (BTW my copy is the full unabridged version, complete with notations, references and bibliography, all leather bound) I hereby quote "Rule number" 987. " All preceeding rules are subject to instant disposal at the whim of the reader."

The book makes for a very good wedge stop to hold open my closet door.

1. Be more uncomfortable with yourself than the one person you know who is most uncomfortable with (your) crossdressing.

2. Mixing Plaid with Stripes. Swear by it !

3. Resist the urge to dress, or even think about it. Shut all windows, pull down the shades, and stay indoors. Venture out only in Boy Mode, and only when the peanut-butter jar is empty. Remember, foot-moss and skin-fungus ARE "Personal Growth."

4. If someone says "You look beautiful, I *want* your outfit", they are NOT inviting you to get naked.

This confirms my belief that there is always someone somewhere trying to "control" others no matter what lifestyle nor culture you're in. THe very essence of a forum like this one was borne from the need to overthrow conventional "rules" that men cannot avail themselves of the chance to enjoy feminine things. That's how things get done in this country, you stand up, speak your mind, and others will join if they believe the cause is worth it.
Being this close to Halloween I suppose I'll do the exact opposite of what's on the list---short dress-red lipstick-7 or 8 inch heels.

Rather than using the term "rules," why not just promote your ideas as being some "food for thought."

I personally don't have a problem with some of the "ideas" you expressed. As long as we leave the whole thing in the realm of non-binding.

I have some pet peeves about Gurl's who appear in public in bizarre, inappropriate, outfits. I have expressed my feelings in other postings. But, I also know that I can't make anybody do anything that I might wish for. I can only put forth an idea and let people think about it. And perhaps, they will modify their thinking just a bit.

I will assume that you posted your rules in that same spirit....if not, better learn to "lighten up." It's already pretty obvious, the people responding aren't going to pay any attention to those rules. If you got these "rules," from your S.O. or some other person, better go find a new adviser. "Only wear poly pants out in public," give me a break!

3: I am always my self
4: I dress my age
5: Nope, I never wear mini's, nothing wrong with red
6: I often talk to people
7: I hardly ever wear pants

I was hoping you all would disagree with my rules i made up.

I sensed it was a little tongue in cheek, CG, but I don't know your style well enough to tell for sure. Great deadpan. The best satire shouldn't wink and leer to the camera but make you pause, and think.

Funny though, because in a way, that is a little of what I would want to do FOR ME. I'm glad that others don't makes it fun to see/hear about. One of my fantasies as a boy was to get away with going places as a girl. It was more as a fantasy about invisibility. Hide in plain sight sort of thing. That affects how I see what I want to do with CD-ing.

Crusader girl, I am not sure of the purpose of the rules... can we keep them as... err guidelines,
As you can see many of the girls think that there are many ways to go out dressed as a girl...
to blend in in walmart: wear sweats,
to blend in downtown chicago wear great skirts and fabulous boots or shoes,
to blend in anywhere... be yourself and have fun...
