OK like with the prices of a sex change being so high is that because theres a low demand for it or because people want to make a profit off us , Ive just notice like how much female cloth cost at stores and how much more it cost at trans gender sights honestly it makes me really mad its like someone raising the price of a wheel chair astronomically high because they want to make a profit off them,i don't know maybe I'm wrong tho maybe high prices are just because of the low demand

Hi, Joey!

As for clothes, if you get the gumption to go out, shop at Goodwill! You can get a whole bag of clothes there, for $15.00. The gender places on line do charge alot, but they have a very limited clientelle. They have to make a living, too.

As for the price of SRS, yes, it is expensive. Right now, if you have the work done in Taiwan, it costs $6-8,000. When you consider the extent of the work they do, and the after care that is required, that is a bargain. I had a rhinoplasty (nose job) done 10 years ago, and that cost $10,000. That was lots less work, it was out patient, and almost no followup. SRS is pretty cheap by comparison. It might sound like a lot, but this is something that will change your life, and should not be cheap. This, more than anything else that you do, will change you fundamentally, forever. Save your pennies.

Some specialist clothing stores do have inflated prices

I can think of one which I wont use any more as it feels like robbery :Angry3:

I have been to Janet's Closet, in the Detroit area, and she is reasonable. She is also transgendered with another business, so I don't think she makes her living this way, but supplements it. She also happens to be a nice person.

Her wigs start at $40.00. Heels are also reasonable.

Having said that, you are better off getting used to shopping mainstream, but if you have size 13 feet, you will need such a service.

Joey,
It's like anything else, shop around for the best buy and quality.
As for shopping around for surgical procedures. Yes you can do that to. Just make sure the DIPLOMA on the WALL says PHD and not GED.
Hugs,
Tamera

If you're looking for a surgeon, you'd better hope the diploma says MD or DO.

Yea that to,
It just did not rhyme with GED.

Men's clothes can be as expensive.
I'm about to go buy a new suit (Yuck!) where I'd rather wear my new skirt to a job interview....

But all in all, the cost of beauty..

It is expensive, but what medical procedure isn't? When I sprained my ankle it cost almost a grand with the doctor and x-rays and pain killers. And that was a simple ankle injury no surgery or nothing, won't even get into the cost of fixing my leg after a motor cycle crash. So yes it is expensive but then it is done by a doctor and his or her staff so expect to pay regardless of what it is.

Sure, that suit may be expensive, but you can wear it, like, all the time, and it'll match most of your shoes, shirts, ties, etc.

Suits are so versatile, but damn, they're boring. So boring. True, they look good on everyone, but I wanna stand out!

Actually, I think I'd rather have MD.
