I recently got my silicone forms and I love them but I am finding that if I wear them for an extended period of time I get a rash around the bottom area of contact with my chest. I have cleaned them with soap and water, used alcohol on my skin and I still get the rash after about 6-8 hours of use. Does anyone have any tips?

I'm only guessing but I would think after 8 hours, it's a sweat rash.

Unless you need them to stick as such, try putting a layer of tissue between them and you.

And if it works we'll patent "boob sweat rash pads".

(I'll work on the name.)

I had that same problem. I also got red burning on my thighs when wearing stay up nylons with that little strip of silicon that keep them from slipping.
My so;ution was to buy "Pals" breast forms, and use pantihose. I have had my pal;s for almost 5 yrs. without a problem.

I discovered that I was alergic to silicon....Bummer..

I discovered when I slept in my forms, that the chafing as I moved in my sleep, gave me a rash. Even some blisters. Nothing to do with perspiration in my case. Don't know if this is similar to your problem. However, I solved my problem by wearing tite sports bras to bed. My bras weren't holding the forms tite enough against my ribs. Besides, I LOVE the tite feel of the sports bra. I would imagine u move around more during the day, than I do in my sleep. U might see if a tite sports bra works for u. I wear a "small" so it really hugs those forms rite to me.

I agree with Julie York, I think it's a sweat rash. Do the tissue paper thing or a lot of talcum powder.

Are you using adhesive? A lot of people get rashes from the adhesives.

Are you using tape? A lot of people get rashes from the tape.

Or, you may just have very sensitive skin. Try cortisone Cream and see if the rash dissappears overnight.

Well, must be sweat rash. I have had my forms on for about 16 hours now and I have been wearing a top with a built in bra, (is that what is referred to as a shelf?), and no rash. The forms keep shifting, though, but I love the extra bounce the top gives. When I am wearing my bra, they are held in place much tighter and do not shift so I am guessing that the sweat is trapped under them, causing a type of heat rash. Thanks for the advice, girls, much appreciated.
