Way to go, Misty! The more you do it, the easier it becomes. The trick is to be confident of who you, and how you want to be perceived. I have been a CD for over 60 years, so have bought many things in all kind of stores. Never have had any real problems. A few times I couldn't try on in the store, but no biggie! Just took the items home, tried them on and took back those that didn't fit. Can't even remember the name of the store, but I did not quit shopping there until I moved to Georgia.

<sigh> I recently went to the mall, walked straight into JC Penny (saw a skirt in an ad), by the time, I'd wandered round looking for the clothes section, I'd lost any nerve I'd built up driving over there!
However, somebody had mentioned a store called Torrid. I'd never heard of them (I don't actually go to the malls much!), but I looked up their website and saw they had some nice things! I decided to drop them an email, and got this nice reply back, which I thought I'd share with all of you -
Hello Andrea!
Thank you for contacting us.
We have no store policy for this. It is totally fine for you to come into the store and shop and try things on. I used to work in the store and it was always best for shoppers to come on a weekday when it is not so busy so that they can assist you better. Also, if you would prefer, you can ask to use the front or the back fitting room, whichever makes you feel more comfortable. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns and we look forward to serving you!

Message: Hi, I recently found your site, and had a question about your mall based stores. As a male crossdresser, I'd apprciate any information regarding any store policies towards crossdressers, specifically the use of changing rooms. Thank you for your time! Regards, Andrea
... which means NEXT WEEK, gonna take a morning off, and treat myself! A nice email like that helps!
