Hi Tori,
I think that GRS Montreal have a pretty good record and I believe Dr. Brassard is somewhat affordable although that may have changed. Let us know?

Haven't had any surgery myself, but here in the Chicago area, there's a Dr. Zukowski who is supposed to do good work too. His site is here (http://www.mlzukowski.com/).

There's a Yahoo group for people looking for facial feminization surgery here (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ffs-support/), might be a good resource when picking a surgeon.

Good luck,
Carol

Carol, I've seen Dr Z's work up close and personal at the Chicago Be-All's. He does wonderful model quality work. I would definitely recommend Dr Chettawut here in Bangkok. I've seen quite a bit of his "fresh" work walking around the hotel here in the last 2 weeks, and it looks pretty amazing!! I know he did a remarkable SRS on Karen, it's amazing what they can do!! We are both very happy with what he did. It's costs about 1/3 of what surgery costs in the US or Canada, just for your information.

Hi Tor-ie,
I had ffs in Oct of 06 with Dr Spiegel .I love his work ,it is very personal and not carbon copy work ..
Dr Z does great work ,but I have to many sisters now ,to look like a carbon copy of someone else!:D
seriously ,DR O work is super too ,but very costly for me and the traveling expence .
I back for round two with Dr Spiegel, has a I write this letter .I am recovering with my best friend,as she had sursugy also.
I had cheek implants and facial Lazer resurfuring, she had rinophasty and eye lids .We are a sight for sore eyes too.[lol]
good luck with who ever you use and be happy! I am trying too!

It would be nice to stay north of the 49th since you need a passport to get through US customs these days. My driver's license and birth certificate have different genders. So this in it's self could be interesting.

I did send information to Dr. O. a while back and it seems that he is on the pricey side. But on the positive side the Canadian dollar is five to ten cents above USD these days instead of the $.80 range of a few years ago.

I hear that Dr. Brassard's FFS services are fairly new. I was curious if anyone had gone to him since we have funding for him in BC for SRS. Could maybe kill two surgeries with one plane ride.

This is great Carol. Have joined the group.

Thanks Kehleyr for a ton of information!

And thanks to all that have replied.

Terri

There is a good possibility I will be meeting with one of his former patients in the near future. I'll ask her about it and let you know. I dont know if he did FFS on her but I do know the SRS was done at the Montreal clinic and she is thrilled with the results.

Hi all,

I'm sure this must have been discussed before. If so, can someone point me to the right place.

I wonder if anyone has had FFS or knows someone who has. Who has had good experiences or bad during the process.

I am particularly interested in Drs Brassard, Spiegel and Ousterhout.

TIA for any information.

Terri

Geeze! I zoomed in on your tiny pic, and you are really a pretty girl!

I have done some hunting on the net for FFS doctors, and have looked at quite a few. I have seen some really, truly amazing fantastic results. I wonder what I would look like with a chin and jaw shave, Trach shave, lip reduction, facelift, maybe a chin prosthetic... I plan to be :o looking much poorer... (smile)

Hi Tori,
I finally met with my contact and asked about the Montreal clinic. She is pretty wired into all of this (you have no idea her involvement... Unbelievable) Anyway her feedback on Brossard was not particularly favourable. The biggest complaint she hears is that aftercare ranges from a real aggravation to none. She cited some stories that quite frankly made my hair stand on end. On the other hand she acknowledged he has also done some great work. Her opinion was to look elsewhere. If he provided solid emergency and aftercare she would recommend him in a pinch.

Sorry hon. Wish I had better news.

Kimberly is correct , Dr brassard is great in the OR ,but his aftercare sucks big time ,i have a friend that did her grs with him and she said that she was happy with his work ,but she had problem after . I know that with my FFS ,I thank God for Dr Spiegel , the Boston Medical Center and My S>O> for my after care ,because i was out of it . hugs,Wendi
