Pretty much.

I don't own any male underwear. I wear a bra or camisole whenever I am wearing a shirt that is heavy enough to hide the straps, and about 50% of the time I'll wear tights or pantyhose instead of socks in the Winter time.
Whether I put on tights, socks or PH in the morning is purely a decision based on temperature... If it is cold, I go with tights. If it is warm, or I'll be spending all day inside at a desk, I find tights to be too hot under pants so have to go with socks.
The next time I go shopping, I'm going to find some women's knee-socks to wear instead of men's socks.

I guess the question do we dress full time underneat, the answer is YES, not only panties and nylons but bras and camisole (sp?). I sometimes get a look when women see the bra straps and the chest a little big no one has said anything tho. I was at Applebee's the other night wiith my wife and as I got out of the booth I'm sure that my legs came out first and having nylons on and slip on clogs type shoes the hostesses saw that and the fact that my bra strps were pretty . They were very nice but I could see them talking about me when I left. I thought it ptretty cool as these two young girls were smiliing and talking and pointing while I was out.

I started wearing panties almost 24/7 since that thread earlier this year about having a "wear your panties to work day". I was terrified that day, but quickly realized it was no big deal.

i only wear women's. 24/7
i even wore femme under BDU's and Air Force Blues during my last year with the Air National Guard. Yes i did have to be careful. We often had two men to a room over night. Then i would change into something else, often in the hotel room bathroom.
i have shifted to cam's with the wide shoulders. They don't adjust but the outline is a little less obvious. i shift between trouser socks with slip pants, and nylons or pantihose. i do always wear panties. Outside of work i may shift to a bra at work.
Going out i wear women's jeans and a woman's top under a heavy shirt or jacket most of the time. At home i am almost always in something femme.

Now that the weather is getting colder, I occasionally go out with garters and stocking on under my slacks or jeans. Usually it's when we're going to the store or out to eat. They feel great especially if they're a pair of silky sheer hosier. My wife likes stroking my leg with her hand when she suspects I have stockings on, feeling the garters & stockings. Somehow, she usually knows, although she claims she can't see any outward signs of the lingerie!

When I go out, I do not dress femme but I usually leave the bra on without forms although now with colder weather I occasionally do leave them in with a loose, heavy shirt or sweater. I am not passable but I'm okay with looking a little bit femme, just nothing too obvious.

If people see me and wonder a little bit or notice that I look a little feminine, that's okay, but I don't want to be "in their face" about it.

If its jeans, I have at least 50 pair of ladies designs. Always short shorts in the summer, some denim, some not. All of my tops are turtlenecks or short sleeved with toned-down designs. I also wear bracelets and necklaces every day..all day.
When out running, all of my athletic clothes are women's.
The only time I get looks from people, especially when I wear tights...it's funny to get stares wearing black tights, and when I go out in shorts..nobody seems to notice.

The only time I underdress, these days, is when I get dressed up after work and then realize I need something from the supermarket. Then I get my feminine clothes off, leaving my garder belt, stockings, and panties on, while going to the store in drab.

But if wearing feminine ungerwear under drab clothes (underdress) makes you feel good, then do it. That's what it's all about. What makes you feel good, makes you happy, feel sexy, is the right thing to do. What other people do doesn't matter. IMHO.

The difference is in the hips and butt area. Since women's hips are wider than men's they need more room. As far as their butt goes take a close look at women's butts and you'll see why. I really like doing that!

This morning I had off from work and I had to go grocery shopping. I was feeling femme so I tucked my guy stuff in, put on panties and panty hose to hold every thing nice and tight. Put on my Nu-Bra and put a bra over it, slipped on my pair of femme jeans (sorry Karren) and finished it off with a loose sweater, a kind of uni-sex one.

I was going to put on a pair of regular socks over the panty hose but the jeans were boot cut so they covered the panty hose. I went shopping and to the bank and no one noticed at all, even with a obvious projection from my chest.

Although my wife is tolerant of my underdressing and saw me wearing a slip. thigh highs, and a garter belt for the first time on a recent trip, she wants me to appear as a man when I'm with her. Although I would prefer to appear in public as a woman, I need an "excuse" such as a costume party to which we are both going. A permanent costums party, say in Las Vegas which we visit frequently, would be ideal.

I am not passable and at this time don't even try to be. Around home I'm dressed femme most of the time and it just seems natural. My wife does like me feminine and encourages it. I leave the panties and (flat) bra on when we go out along with small stud earrings and often very light lipstick and eyeshadow. Not enough to be noticed unless someone looks very closely, but I know and I feel good about it. My wife knows and she is ok with it as long as it's not too obvious.

Not 24/7 but as often as possible. Like now I am wearing women's pull-om pants with my panties, my support pantyhose, my tank top bodyslip, and one of my wife's bras. I'll remove the bra before she comes home from work, but if she comes home early my top is heavy enough to hide the bra until I can remove it. We will go out to dinner and shopping tonight and I will go wearing the women's pants, nude pantyhose, panties, and the slip.

Women's sizes, as opposed to Misses or Juniors, assume a larger ratio of hip to waist dimensions than is typical for a man, so If women's pants fit at the waist they may be too big at the hips; similarly if they fit at the hips, they may be too small at the waist. I encountered this in getting a tank top body slip. The fit was "trial $ error"; the most comfortable one was a plus size that fit at the waist, so the hips and bust are a bit too big. Since I don't want them tight there anyway, this is not a problem, but a short slip (as opposed tu a bodyslip) might not need to be "oversized" and would probably be available with a smaller cup size

Dear insearchofme, I too have found that sheer nylons do not need to be covered when underdressing as they are usually not obvious (in fact wearing socks over nylons is unconfortable). I think that wearing pantyhose with shorts or capris is sexy, but that would be pushing it in "boy mode", but women's pants without a fake fly are OK; either nobody notices or cares that a fly is missing. Similary, I have worn a bra in "boy mode" if it has a small cup. A bra collar under a sweater would be OK too. (I saw one at Penney's a few years ago; where are they available now?)

Would like to be a natural B so having breasts would be a fait accompli and I would need to weae a bra. Did breasts just "happen" or did you do something to make breasts? Is a B cup bra OK when underdressing or do you have to go braless?


I am surprised that so many underdress. For me it’s been all one way or the other. Doesn’t feel right to mix and match…but after ready all these posts I may have to give it a second chance.

It surprised me too, because when I said I underdressed frequently, and posted my findings that women's clothes often provided accomodations for physical limitations (see above) I was accused of trying to justify crossdressing!

Dear Patti Girl, I'm curious, do you underdress when you're out with your wife, or do you "go all the way" and appear as a woman? If the latter, do you use a ladies restroom with her? Although my wife is tolerant of my underdressing and saw me wearing a slip. thigh highs, and a garter belt for the first time on a recent trip, she wants me to appear as a man when I'm with her. Although I would prefer to appear in public as a woman, I need an "excuse" such as a costume party to which we are both going.

When and where you underdress or "go all the way" appears to be not only a function of your desires but depends on timing, location, and the support of others too since CDing is a hobby that is usually not disclosed. (Like is a spouse OK with being with you when you are impersonating a female. You could be recognized if out in public appearing as a woman. There is also the problem of using a ladies restroom when out in public. Also, what if unexpected company appears when you are en femme at home as you cannot answer the door!).

My wife will toleraate underdressing when women's clothes are medically necessary or are a correlary thereof. My wearing panties and a bra would exceed the limit of what she would tolerate so I wear men's no-fly briefs and no bra. She is very possessive about clothes, like her late Mom's pants are my size, but when I suggested wearing them she not only said no but HELL NO! It was a big step when she saw me wearing a slip and thigh highs & a garter belt for the first time on a recent trip.

If I'm in our hometown, I undersress exclusively for several reasons: 1) I don't want to come out to friends and family who know me as a male, Dad, and Grandpa; 2) I use a wheelchair or a scooter so don't blend in and woukd be likely to be recognized if I appeared in public en femme ; and 3) my wife doesn't want me impersonating a female in public (& using a ladies restroom). She will tolerate my wearing women's clothes in public if I underdress and the women's clothes provide necessary accommodations - e.g. I want to enlarge my breasts so I will need to wear a bra! I already need to wear support pantyhose and a slip, and carry a purse. I am pushing to appear with her en femme. The best opportunity to go out as a female would be as Zora at the Star Trek con in Las Vegas next summer as there is a contume contest there. I could appear there as a female 24/7 thereas the likelihood of being recognized is very small. If I start now, I could have some experienge in getting and styling a wig, applying makeup and nail polish, and wearing a skirt, high heels and earrings.

At a yard sale, i found what were being called slip pants, i've seen shorter ones online referred to as petti pants. The yardsale ones (still in sealed packages) came from Lane Byant or Romans, probably the catalog or online.

i love them wear them all the time under my dress pants. They are essentially elastic waist, closed crotch satin pants for wear under things. i did also find what you might call knickers or bloomers. They were in cotton.

i'll see if i can find the online references i saw some time ago.

I was going to question how you wear "girls shorts", but perhaps you are refering to the loose "almost knee length" ones? Maybe I'll have to try some of those next summer (we have snow flurries here today, I'm not putting on shorts!)

Mascara. How do you wear that without it being noticeable?

I do wear small earrings almost all the time and usually a light lipstick when I go out along with light eyeshadow...enough that I know it's there but wouldn't be noticed by someone not expecting it.

Apparently, underdressing is quite common, and the items worn are dependent on season and their ability to be concealed. I started wearing support pantyhose for medical reasons. I was initially concerned that it would be apparent that I was wearing nylons, but that is not a problem - I have subsequently worn them out with wife, kids, and grandkids. I also wear women’s pull-on slacks (that’s all I have now). My first ones had a mock fly so it would not be evident that they were women’s pants, but the more common plain front ones are OK too. I like to keep an undershirt tucked in, and a short women’s tank top slip makes it easier to pull up pants, and stays tucked in.

However, even underdressing is usually known by a wife, and is subject to her limits! Mine will not tolerate going “all the way”, and she says that she would not claim to know me if I ever have to go to the ER while wearing a garter belt. She even limits underdressing - no bra or panties and the “girl things” must come off when we go to bed. I see that other wives are considerably more accepting. I’m curious – were they always accepting, or does that develop? If it develops, what’s the trick in getting her to accept crossdressing? Eventually, I want to appear with her in public en femme, but that needs to be on a trip away from home so that the possibility of being recognized is small. Even then, I will need to “sell” the idea as she will know I’m a man impersonating a female and using the ladies restroom, and she says she married a man not a woman!

My panties went away years ago, as did all my socks. So, yes, I underdress every day.

Switching to pantyhose and tights was my choice, and the wife was/is OK with it. But once I actually began wearing them every day, she wanted my unworn stuff gone. When I didn't make it happen, she did, including socks. "You're wearing pantyhose - they're the only socks you need."

So, it's pantyhose or tights for me every day...all year round. Opaque tights are perfect for work, usually black, blue or gray (with never a chance of mismatched "socks" anymore!) And on rare occasions when there won't be many people in the office, I'll get daring and wear sheer black pantyhose. So far, no issues.

Whenever I'm not at work, you'll find me in nude or suntan pantyhose. Worn with womens' canvas Keds (my favorite shoes - I have 4 pairs) and elastic waist shorts, leggings or even slacks, sheer nude hosiery is almost invisible, and causes no problems whatsoever.

My female doctor and her staff seem very comfortable with the fact I'm wearing pantyhose. When I'm first seated in the exam room, they let me know whether I'll need to remove my nylons before the doctor comes in. And if so, they give me a gown to protect my privacy. Very accommodating.

I too started to crossdress with my sister’s lingerie – for me it was her bras and “falsies”. Crossdressing was dormant for many years, except at Halloween and in my “wet” dreams. I feel so much better when wearing male outer clothes and nice pretty things under them. I normally wear a bra, cami, panties, and either knee stockings or panty hose. I try to wear heels when I'm around home. This gives me a feeling of inner peace and mellowness that I did not have when just wearing drab. My wife accepts this more graciously than full dressing. :o I wear panties bikinis, thongs and a bra most of the time. In cooler weather I will also wear small forms to work,shopping,restaraunts, movies and to listen to music. By underdressing it has given me more confidence to be free to be who I am. I used to be worried about what would happen if I had to go to the emergency room ! or what would I do if someone noticed panty or bra lines or what if they notice my breasts are bigger than normal. I am now confident enough with myself that I dont let the what if`s bother me like it used to.

Tina has been with us almost three years now, and this question made me think about what has changed. I have a few pieces of male underwear but I've lost 25 pounds so only the most recent bikini (male) underwear is left, with the rest all woman's. Since I lost weight my wife no longer likes the look of male jeans on me, so I haven't bought a male pair in 2 years. I still have a couple of male jeans I can wear, but they'll wear out soon. Even the dress socks I buy could be either gender. So, as clothes wear out, we'll be having to make more decisions about which gender to look at for replacement.

I sure wish. My wife, my job if discovered would not go to well. When I first told my wife about the CDing, she was semi-OK with it and even bought me some panties. But insisted that I not wear them all the time. And wanted me to keep them in her drawer. I shouldn't have pushed to hard now she doesn't want me to dress at all.:sad:

I'm wearing panties more and more (most days but not yet all) and also pantyhose. However, the hose is only occasional - although I seem to have found just the right size, they seem to keep "riding down" - a week ago I was mildly embarrassed, wandering around a supermarket and having to poke a hand down the back of my trousers to hitch the hose up every five minutes.

Maybe I just need a different brand of hose.

I wear M & S cotton high legs in the week changing to silky or lacy high legs or thongs at the weekend depending on what coordinates with the bra and suspender/garter belt I am wearing. I actually have more undies than my wife, sexier to. As we are the same size I suggested just having one draw for knickers and sharing them but she wouldn't, she does wear my skirts though.

I wear panties full time and have done so for at least 4 years.
In the cooler weather when i wear a heavy shirt or sweater I wear a bra and slip about 90% of the time.
Also wear panty hose most of the time in the cooler weather and in the winter, as I find especially when working out side they are much warmer, and I also love the feel of the panty hose on my leges, especially as i am fully shaved year round.

I only wear shorts now on the trip to the doctor, but if i ended up in the hospital when wearing panties, well be it so.

Panties are so much more comfortable and i will not go back

The only body hair that i have is on my head and over my eye brows. I shave about every 3 to 4 days from my nose to my toes. i live the feeling and i think it helps the skinn to breath. I also wear panties 24/7 as the fit is a lot better than that for the male underweare. I wear a bra when i can with my small breast forms in. The summer is the worst time as when it gets hot and you will wear less.

When I had panties and bra, I rarely wore them. There was a little habit everyone in my dorm had where, when all the washers/dryers were full, instead of waiting they would open the first 'done' one they saw and throw the clothes on top for all to see. Imagine going to grab your clothes and seeing your silky white panties sitting on top of the dryer...Although, after I realized nobody could possibly have known whose clothes they were, I thought it was pretty funny :)

I wear panties if im alone, I wouldnt wear them if my parents are in the house, just in case somehow they saw (which is not very likely put I dont want to risk it).

I wear them out if im just going out the house for a short period of time, but if its a long period of time I put boxers over them. Not really sure why as theres never once been an instance where anyone would or could have seen them, but I guess its just insecurity and fear of being caught out.
