View Full Version : Finally! Came out to a friend

After a long time thinking about it and with the encouragement found here, I told a GG friend of mine that I am a crossdresser! :happy: It is a wonderful feeling to be accepted for who you really are. I did it by email, couldn't do it in person as I was too nervous. She is an eclectic and perceptive person and she didn't have a clue (or so she says). It's nice to have someoine to share this with. I am so very happy.

Yes, the feeling can be very empowering! I have told several friends. Some male, some female. Only one has seen me dressed. He sees me almost every time he comes by, which is at least once a week. I showed a GG friend some pictures last week, she said" You look like a girl"! I said that, that was the idea!

That's great news, Rachel!!! I imagine that in this day and age such is becoming slightly more common than it was for many of us back in the 50's and 60's. That said, it is still a step that must be approached with caution!

Thanks all for your support and comments. Yes we'll go shopping at some point, but she lives in Chicago, so I have to do a roadtrip to meet her. It has been wonderful to ahre this side of me with another understanding person. I guess that's what many of you have and I love it!!!

That's wonderful news! Good for you :happy: One of the best feelings from coming out is the liberation. It is really nice to know that you're accepted for you. Plus, aquiring a new shopping buddy is always a nice bonus! :D
