Let's just get this into perspective.

Is there anyone here who....

Doesn't want to dress 24/7
Doesn't want to BE a woman.
Does it for FUN.
Gets a buzz out of it.
Can take it or leave it for weeks at a time.
Isn't having a nervous breakdown over it.

I just thought there might be a few more than me out there.:D

Of course there are. Lots and lots of us just want to be guys with a feminine side. There are literally ALL kinds of CDers.

I don't fit your specs, but there are plenty who do. I am quite sure that I (as a 24/7 girl) am in the minority.

Lovies,

Doesn't want to dress 24/7 I do, don't no if I want :D

Doesn't want to BE a woman.Don't want, don't try to look like one.

Does it for FUN.Fun-dressing ? rarely.

Gets a buzz out of it.Except for fear when going out, no particular buzz. It lightens up the mood though ... usually.

Can take it or leave it for weeks at a time.Didn't try for 1.5 years. But I guess it would be hard to stop.

Isn't having a nervous breakdown over it.No nervous breakdown here.

I just thought there might be a few more than me out there.:D

I dont wanna dress 24/7
I dont wanna BE a WOMAN---(Not all the time N E ways)
YES it IS fun
YES, I get a BUZZ
YES take or leave it 2 or 3 weeks at a time
Not worrying about it---Once I deduced I was NOT Homosexual (not that there is anything wrong with that) and once I discovered WHY I was doing it, I was never concerned since.

I think 24/7 would wear off pretty quickly. I am a man and I like to dress up as a woman sometimes, I call that crossdressing. If I don't do it, the urge builds and I need to release it. I don't understand why or where it comes from, I hid and felt guilty about it for decades, but now I understand it is a part of me. It is fun also.

Hello Julie!
I am just as you say with only mild exceptions. There is not a day or so that goes by that I don't think about dressing. I don't get the nervous breakdown and bite my nails if I don't, but I do think about dressing more then you do. I definately do it more then "weeks at a time". I also love to go out to a bar that accepts transgendered people and strut my stuff so to speak! That is part of the buzz and fun.

Ok so my wife says Im normal but it begins with aby,,,, aby-normal :)
Im really there with ya Julie now but there was a time if I didnt get out or have plans to, I was depressed.
Maybe its age or just finally becoming comfortable with myself but Im ok with dressing when I feel like it,, just for me ?
Its funny tho, i can go months without fully dressing but I check this site and a couple others most every day so does that make my wife right about me being aby-normal ? I hope not ! It pisses me off when she is right *S*

Well, I don't dress 24/7

I do enjoy looking good, whether it is in women's or men's clothes.

I have figured out that I can look good (to myself) in either but I try to pass as gender neutral. There are some women's clothes that I can wear that anyone (except the trained eye) would not question as "male" clothes.

Maybe I am in the closet, maybe I am hoping for the "connotation" of female fabrics to encompass a male's style.

I wonder how many would be able to be free enough to wear a pair of rear zip pants, silk top, and 2 inch heels as a male without wearing a wig and breast prothesis?

Do I think that a man could look good in such an outfit? I do...and someday, it will happen.

Who wants to be normal. Normal is merely a set of mores that society agrees upon at a certain time.

For me its not about being normal its about being me. No labels, no worrying about conforming, just being me and enjoying life

Does it for FUN. - it is a blast!! how can it not be fun

Gets a buzz out of it. - see answer above

Can take it or leave it for weeks at a time. - not sue I can leave it for weeks on end. If I can't be in female clothing for a few days, I really miss it!!

Isn't having a nervous breakdown over it. - would never have a nervous over anything

I can be very feminine or just be me. I can spend time on make-up or just be me. I can wear the sexiest little skirt, blouse, and boots, or just be me. I love it.

Okay Julie, we get your drift. Yes, it has been a bit somber around here lately. Yes, a lot of angst and sad stories.

But remember please, that a lot of these folks have real problems and they turn to this forum because they are looking for any kind of help they can find. It would be grand if we all could be glib and give cleaver smarmy answers all the time, but that's not the only reason for being here. And yes, I've indulged in it too, so I can't claim to be an Angel either! That's not the point.

It's true that we need a reasonable sprinkling of cheerful stories but that's just one of many things that this forum provides. It would be nice with the Holidays coming on to have more "fun stuff." But, if somebody is hurting, who are we to deny them the right to come on here and "vent," just because they don't have something cleaver or funny to say.

Peace and Love, Joanie

I'd only be normal if my name were Norman Allen! Tee hee! Honestly, I'm not sure anyone is normal, in the straight statistical sense - so many variations. I would, however, answer yes to all your questions, if I were single, with no kids, worked a job that was OK with it, etc. Too much at stake now to wish for stuff like that, I think. Old Japanese saying goes: "if wishes were fishes we'd all cast a line"! I wish!

What you should ask yourself from the dizzy altitude of your high horse, is why an intelligent man, who likes to prance about in frocks occasionally, would use the word 'normal'..... other than as a tongue-in-cheek self mockery?

Yes there are people with problems. But I was getting to feel like a minority group..... and look......there's loads of us.:D

Chill, sisters..

I know where you're coming from, Julie, 'cept my need to dress has probably settled down to a higher frequency than you? I get loads of fun and a buzz out of it, but it's really about just being free to be myself, whole and unrestricted?

And I don't often do nervous breakdowns.. :)

Hi,

Has anyone made the "Abby normal" joke yet? I seem to firt those criterea pretty well. My answers are below:

Don't want to dress 24/7

No, just sometimes when I feel like it.

Doesn't want to be a woman.

No, just like dressing up like one sometimes.

Does it for fun.

Absolutely. There would be no point otherwise.

Gets a buzz out of it.

Yes. I think the 2 questions above answer that one.

Can take it or leave it for weeks at a time.

Totally accurate for me. Sometimes I don't bother for ages. Makes it more fun when I do dress up.

Isn't having a nervouse breakdown over it.

It's relaxing and fun so no nervouse breakdowns. It actually helps if other stuff is stressing me.

That's me done.

Take care,

Mark.

Absolutely. There would be no point otherwise.

Not me. I would 24/7 if I could. But, alas, I must work in drab.

Doesn't want to BE a woman.
In a heartbeat, if it would make my life less complicated. But I would still love women.

Does it for FUN.
Yes, but only becausing I'm having fun being me.

Gets a buzz out of it.
Only when I go out, which is rare. But that's going to have to change.

Can take it or leave it for weeks at a time.
Not anymore; don't want to. Tried that for 34 years with no success. Nothing wrong with being myself all the time.

Isn't having a nervous breakdown over it
No. You can't sweat the small stuff you can't change. Work on the one's you can change, but don't worry about if you can't.

I tried for over 30 years to become normal until I found on that being normal is being myself; who I am. When I try to be society's idea of normal, that is when I'm not.

Love you all.:hugs:

Doesn't want to BE a woman. Definitely me - I mean that I don't wish to actually be a woman - I just admire their clothing!

Does it for FUN. Yep. But I haven't really had a proper chance to fully try it, yet..

Gets a buzz out of it. Certainly do!

Can take it or leave it for weeks at a time. I would like to do it much more often, but unfortunately, seldom have had the opportunity to really go for it!

Isn't having a nervous breakdown over it. No thanks, I enjoy it too much!

Seems as though I agree.
What is your next question ?
Mine is what is normal?

That's me !!! I do it for my personal enjoyment. The desire comes and goes, and if I go for weeks at a time without dressing it's ok too. I must admit I have started wearing my femm panties more often of late though.

Do I want to be a woman - no.

Would I enjoy dressing 24/7, all the time - no.

Other than that, I agree.
