I've heard of wearing turtlenecks and high lace to cover the adam's apple but what do you do in the summer when it's ninety degrees out?

A light scarf can go a long way toward adding to the feminine feeling and hide the ol' apple without being too hot. Also, a nice choker works well.

I agree, scarves are great. The more feminine things you have happening, the better chance that the overall picture will be female. I have a sundress that I love to wear (when it's hot and sticky in Chicago, it is wonderful to go outside wearing nothing but a bra, panties, and a sundress) and you'd think that my Adam's Apple would be a dead giveaway, but because I accessorize my outfit with a sun visor, sunglasses, jewelry, etc. I never get a second glance.

a sexy lace choker, doesn't have to be lace, maybe a nice ribbon from wrapping Christmas gifts. Place it right over the ridge of the apple, it hides it pretty good.

That's an interesting question. I just checked in the mirror and I can't seem to see mine.
However, it got me to wonderling as to how many of us actually have a pronounced adam's apple that could use some disguisiing?

Unfortunately that's a problem for me. :( I think a wig that frames your face somewhat would help and wearing some sort of necklace/choker to draw attention away would seem to be a much as well. But like Wendy said, the more feminine your overall appearance, the less things like that get noticed hopefully. :o

Mine is just too noticeable :(. Not as big as some others, but a definite giveaway. Going to try some of the suggestions here though! :)

you could just not have an adam's apple like me, and have all your friends tell you you would look good in a drag show without anyone knowing what I do at home... :p

Of course the other alternative is something like a turtleneck sleeveless top / dress. Hard to come by, but I think they look kind of sexy. Especially if you can find one that has a "hole" over the chest / top of the breast area. Very attractive. At least, I think so! ;)
Samantha, we have got to do something about you and your desires to be leashed ...

hehe here's my 2 cents to contribute
if you wear the right wig
you can have it go over your neck in that spot ;)
and no one will see it
guys like girls with chokers too at times
I love chokers myself
so we'll see which ones we'll try
i'll try the choker first

Aww Sam, you are too sweet. So what size collar would you like? Would you prefer a spiky collar or diamond encrusted?

I don't know - something nice and shiny perhaps? Like silver maybe? Or do you prefer the understated elegance look?

Of course, I need to get a matching choker! A friend of mine came with a leash and collar to a fancy dress party (his then girlfriend, now wife was holding the other end). Come to thinking of it, that was the year I went as a woman to the party and won the best costume award hands down. Ah yes, the life of the quiet, shy one :D

Hang in there girls ... when you get to my age nature conceals the problem!
Perhaps I can find a pic to illustrate.

Having an Adam's Apple stinks. And I hear that you can't get it removed or you will die. Is that true?

Fortunate, no Adam's apple here, never had one. Used to raise curiosity when younger. Now that older, having a full head of long hair raises curiosity: first, becuase it is long at my age, second, because it is real and it is mine.

When I lived in SF I Knew a Post-op who had it done. She told me It was a dangerous Op because if the Surgen Isn't Very competent it will mess up your vocal chords.
