I just got back from Vegas, where I was able to carve out some time for Cissy, so I fulfilled a fantasy by renting a convertible. It was a beautiful sunny day but not too hot, so I wore a turtleneck, kilt, tights and boots that looked really cute if I do say so myself. Driving down the Strip with the wind blowing my hair, grooving to Super Chick's "We Live" on the radio, it was a day that I wished would never end. Of course my wig was a disaster by the time I got back to where I was staying, but it was worth it! Alas no pictures, If I'd been Karen Hutton I'd have figured out some way to attach a camera to the rear view mirror...

You were able to drive down the strip fast enough to get the wind to blow through your hair?

I usually drove parallel to the strip, on Frank Sinatra Dr/Industrial Rd.. Much faster.

The strip wasn't too bad that time of day, but I really got the breeze when I got on the 215 and drove up towards Summerlin to check out the Red Rocks resort...what an awesome place! I love to walk through a casino as a woman, playing the slots and checking out the action.

That used to be a problem on a windy day in Chicago, but since I got a professionally fitted wig I've never worried about it blowing off...helps that it's short so there's less wind resistance, for those who took physics.

Awwww, memories! OK, i wasn't enfemme but i got to drive one of my fave cars down the Strip back in '99, i.e. a Corvette C5 convertible...magic! Not exactly a 'girly' car, but great fun nevertheless! hehe
