and i'm debating if i will use the opportunity to go out dressed for the first time. My wife and i are staying at a B&B about 200 miles from home. Well, i'm bringing all my pretty clothes as well as some drabs too

Sounds like a great opportunity to me.

My wife and I go away to a B&B every year, usually the first weekend in Dec to a nice place about 100 mi east of where we live.

After 5 years, we found a nice mall nearby.
We usually go for 2 nights and she's ok w/me dressing one day.
I might have to suggest a girls lunch out this year, for my first time out.
