I have done it at last!

had a makeover done.
dressed plain, fleshed coloured stockings, simple skirt and flat (no heel shoes)

droved to the local shopping mall, walked around amongst the crowd then moved on to a park read the newspaper in the sunshine. Then home. wish I could do something with my voice as it would have been nice to get a coffee.

but I did it!

Good for you, outings are a great first step to teach that the world won't end if you step out the door in heels. It's strange that dealing with dressing in public is like dealing with any other major phobia in your life. A little bit at a time, then after you look back you'll wonder what you were worried about in the first place.

In regards to your voice, there are a few videos/tapes/cd's (compact disk, not us) out there that deal with femming out your voice. The two that I know of is 'Melanie Speaks' and 'Deep Stealth'. I'm sure if you did some digging you could find a few more that help with the voice.

I don't know, I have found that when they aren't paying attention and you walk all dressed to kill, then order the coffee in that feminized masculine voice, they just about fall over. It's worth it, just for the comedy if nothing else.
