View Full Version : Which toilet would you use?

I have a desire to get dressed in sexy fem clothes and go out for a meal one day, say a hotel or restaurant. I’m not quite ready for that just yet but was wondering if I did and need to go for pee, which toilet would I use?
The ladies room or the mens room?

This is a subject thats been debated since ... well.... God talked to Moses LOL
So many choices.
1) If you pass well and feel like you can get away with it... you might try the ladies room
2) If there is a unisex bathroom then there is no problem
3) You can cross your legs, hold it and pray
**If you should decide to use the ladies room, being the confident girl you are... get in and get out. Dont stop to check yourself out in the mirror, powder your nose or chat... do your business and be done. I pass really well and have had no problems in using the ladies room, but I'll tell you that its dangerous business. Not as dangerous as say using the men's room here in the south where if one is discovered one could get killed. Unisex are my favorites. Luckily for me the Renaissance faires usually have all outside privvies for anyone. The Handicapped ones are my favorite when I have 75 lbs of Tudor Gown with Drape sleeves to deal with.
Oh yes... one more thing... you might want to ensure you sit down while you do your business ;)
Getting caught in there by GGs could be a fate worse than death.
All of this based on no information about you whatsoever ;)

It is not a question of passing, it is a question of presentation.
If you are presenting yourself as a female use the female toilets.
As said above just act naturally, in and out but if you need a make up touch up then why not.

In some states (including my own, I believe) it's technically illegal to use the lady's room unless you're a GG.
But, going to the men's room is NOT a good idea if you're dressed.
You definitely want to be able to pass if you're going to use a well-trafficked lady's room or else trouble could ensue.
Everybody needs to pee! Even crossdressers. But GGs might feel threatened and suspect that your reasons for being in their domain are more than just practical. So getting in and out is pretty much my goal with the lady's room.

Can you imagine the stir you'd cause in the men's room? I'm sure you already knew that tho. It's best to pee before you leave home. Don't just use the ladies to see what it's like unless you really pass well.

As long as you don't stand out to much I'd suggest choosing a busy toilet. Then it's kind of public and it's less likely that anyone involved would feel threatened, or indeed notice you. Though it was more scary leaving the cubicle afterwards than going into the toilet in the first place!

Oh my Gid I did it just this past weekend as Embyrre..
I went backstage to use the ladies room (which both bathrooms are HUGE multi-stalled units). Anyways, I get back there and sure enough the place was FULL, with a line of waiting and I had to go bad.
Well, next door was the Men's room. I go in and there is nobody... I mean NOBODY inside! So, I take my pretty lil self all the way down to the last stall, sit down and do my business. I get done and head out.
Apparantly, while I was down at the end a man came in and was standing at the urinals as I appeared. His eyes got so wide!! LOL Now, I'm dressed in all my Tudor finery, and I immedietly perk up and sashe my way right on out.
I distinctly heard him say, "Now there's somethin you dont see everyday!"
He had no idea ;)

I for one use the ladies room when I am out dressed and need to go. Yes by all means sit down when you do go. First time I used the ladies room, there were a couple of GG's in there. One was at the mirror putting lipstick on, the other was just entering a stall. The one at the mirror looked at me as I walked in then went back to her lipstick. I walked to the next open stall, closed it, locked it, and took care of business. The GG in stall next to me finished before I did and when I exited the stall, there was no one in there except for me. So I washed my hands, checked my outfit, hair, put some lipstick on and left the restroom. Besides I did some checking and here in Dallas, TX and Dallas County, the laws states that a person may use the public restroom of the sex that they are presenting as.

Dear,
Ofcourse ladies room :) Kisses,
I never had a problem using the Ladies Room. You need to remember to sit on the Jane and since you are in a Stall. No one can see you.
How days. There are places. That have even put in Coed Restrooms. So that any Sex CDs. Will not have any problems. That are working out real good.

Yesterday, while I went shopping at the mall. I finished with Avenue and VS and then went to Macy's to have the nice ladies at the MAC counter give me some ideas on eye makeup. They did a fab job, 4 colors, and then I had to go potty. I asked a security guard for directions to the restroom. He said the ladies room is right over there. And then he said have a good day Maam!!! After that I was walking about a foot off the ground. Just floating allong. Oh and yes, I did buy the 4 colors of shadows, but like a dummy, I forgot to take a picture. So I'm back to fumbling with my makeup...BJ

I learned the hard way to use the ladies! years ago my wife and I were attending a Belly concert in Eugine, Or. Being that it was halloween I was dressed in a nice full length velvet dress, black stockings and 5" heals! Wouldn't you know it but I had to pee. So not even thinking about it I went in to go and got some looks as I entered the mens bathroom. There were some very bad comments made and while I was in the stall some one said something and pounded on the door! Yikes! Lukily I got out without incident and the rest of the night was magical!
(This was one of the only other times that I had been "out" but it was halloween and I was with my wife so it didn't really count in my mind....)
So now that is something that is always on my mind. When in doubt hold it and if you can't just be carefull finding the right ladies room!

Has anyone ever had a bad experience using the ladies room? Most times I try to go out to a place with unisex bathrooms, or that have a very excepting crowd, or I try to hold it but I have had to go pretty badly several times and used the ladies room after being fairly certain no one else is in there. I have also waited and gone in with my girlfriend once which worked out well. I just talked to her on the way in. But I was curious if anyone had ever been confronted about using the ladies room?

I've used restrooms quite a few time while out dressed and have NEVER used the men's room. It strikes me as being a bit risky if you run into some homophobic person while in there. I'd rather have to talk may way out of a touchy situation in the women's room than get physically assaulted in the men's!
I'd say about 1/2 the time I've been able to find a gender-neutral rest room. The other 1/2 of the time, I just use the ladies. The few times I've run into other ladies in it, I haven't gotten any kind of negative reaction at all.

short an sweet best answer is use bathroom that you present as .
get in and out in under 2 min and
do not talk to any one in there. and
leave the area soon as possable
if you follow this advise .. its is doughtful of ever haveing any problems.
cops need a probable cause to intervine when no one is doing stuff that is offenceive.
going to mens room presenting as a female WILL have more potential of causeing a public disturbance , mainly cus guys are jerks and have so little grace training.
others have also mentioned that this is dear abbys advise as this is the safest of the choices namely cuz girls are less confrontational creatures.
if stoped or questioned by any athority ie cop etc just calmly explane only useing facilities , spoak to no one there , and your only following learned advise for siuation , then continue to go swiftly from area ... but do not run.
much the same applies to being stopped by police in a car if driving en fem , remain calm . give your real drivers lic if asked for it .
offor no explinations volintarily.
only answer relivent questions that are not incrimininateing .
do not attemt to engage in conversation.
saying little gives less chances of giveing police any probable caue by what you say.
most places it is not illeagle to present how ever you wish if adiquately clothed .
after all girls do not get hassled by police for wearing male clothes.

 I would say if you go out en femme use the ladies room. If there is a unisex facility all the better. Make sure you know the laws in your state because you wouldnt want to get busted for using the ladies can, but if you're en femme and you get in and get out there shouldn't be a problem. I think it would be better than using the mens room because you would be a lot more conspicuous in a dress or skirt. My:2c: Jill

In .uk there's often a seperate disabled persons loo, which is unisex, and much larger. Personally I'd tend to nip in there and avoid any risk of being spotted as a bloke in the ladies, or running the risk of being abused or battered in the gents.
Since I have no hope of passing at the moment, and no intention of going outside en-femme, it's not an issue for me.

I have honestly had to stop and look how I was dressed before deciding where to go. Another time out in "my version of drab" I was coming out of the mens room as a guy was walking in, saw him stop and look at the sign on the door, to be sure it was the right place.

I've noticed that many restaurants I visit have single user restrooms for men and for woman. I keep an eye on the ladies' room, and as soon as the occupant leaves I go in.

The idea of finding a tree works for me, most of my outings enfemme were backpacking or on nature photo shoots. If anyone is interested in knowing how to do number two in the wild, while dressed, pm me for tips. The only times I was out totally enfemme in public on Halloween, I looked like a guy in a dress, I used the mens room and got complements for having the guts to dress "like that". Any other day of the year, use the restroom reserved for those that look like you and do your business, wash quickly, and leave. Try to not get in any conversations. If you can pass, including voice, have fun talking with the girls in front of the mirror.

Actually if you look like "a guy in a dress" and can easily be read just use the mens room or else the women I fear would bitch a lot. Anyway those types rarely go out too.
If you easily pass it's a pleasure to use the womens room!

If you're out dressed, and presenting yourself as a female, I would use the ladies room. That's me. In some places, this could get you in trouble, though. Check the thread about cross-dresser protections. The safe choice is to use the men's room, which you are legally entitled to use everywhere, regardless of how you are dressed. But if you were passing ok, you're now outing yourself. It's up to the individual, and depends on several factors. I think once you are inside an establishment for a while, you will know what to do.

I've used both rooms en femme, it depended largely on convenience and location. It's unfortunate but some of the places me and my T-girl friends have gathered at, don't allow us to use the ladies room, and many of us will refuse to use the men's room. Tho at some places, such as GLBT lounges, I would never dream of using the man's room, altho I once used the men's room at a Lesbian nightclub only because the line in the ladies room was out the door. Ironically, the man's room was deserted except for me and one Goth guy who was fixing his make-up. LOL!
I'd say, know your surroundings and talk to management if you have to. Many places these days have Unisex or Family bathrooms, and you might be able to arrange to use a private or employee restroom if you're concerned.
Just ask. If you're going out as a T-Girl, you can't be shy.
Good luck.

It's been a very long time since I have gone out in public. I can't imagine using a mens room when presenting as a woman. On the other hand, if there was any doubt in my mind that I was not passing as a female, I don't think I would have had the courage to use the women's either.

i have never been out yet - but am considering doing so soon - which toilets ? has to be ladies i guess when dressed but dangerous - i can understand in a way why some women would object if they knew - i remember in my pub and clubbing days girls would often use the mens when the que was too long in the womens - guess what no guy complained - obviousy women arnt seen as a threat in mens toilets whereas men are in ladies - isnt that the same as in womens changing rooms - women wouldnt feel comfortable if they knew a guy even in womens clothes was using the same changing rooms as them - isnt it probably because most sexual perverts are men or at least reportidly - doesnt make life easy for us geniune cders does it !

The first time I went into a club, I asked in advance if it was Ok to come en femme, and which bathroom to use. The answer, by the way, was whichever one I felt comfortable using. I like places like that. I have been there 4 times, and have not had to use the bathroom - I drink very little when dressed up. So I don't know which I would have used, but probably the ladies.

It is wise to take care of business before you go out enfemme, I do, then do not eat or especially drink to much, I can usually go 8 hrs between pee breaks. How ever when nature calls and I could no longer wait, I always use the ladies room, the other day I was in Walmart and I had to go really bad so I used the family room, I highly recommend using the family room, I had no problems, after I was done, I did my shopping without any problems.

I've been using the "ladies" room now for some time and have had no problems whatsoever with it. I simply go in, do my thing and then leave. None of the women have said anything to me or about me. Most are busy doing their thing also and are not interested in what I am doing. Especially as long as I am Just using the bathroom and not peaking in the stalls.

You've not been asked for a squirt of perfume, or had anyone comment on your lippy, or someone looking for a safety pin??? IME, women tend to be chatty? I'm obviously frequenting the wrong loo's...
Though I did spend 15 mins in one once with a young lass who'd fallen up some stairs, onto her nose? And I also remember one woman offering to sell me her daughter ("Do you wanna buy a Goth?").. On second thoughts, I'm definitely frequenting the wrong loo's! :roflmao:

I don't know about fun. Due to nerve damage from diabetes I was stuck in the things 24/7 for over a year. But I will say that with the right type and a little planning you can go for 8 hours without needing to change. Plenty time for a evening out.
Not trying to change a thread here ladies. I really was stuck in them.

I've used the ladies en drab many times. And I've been in the mens many times when woman have come in. It is just going to the bathroom. If you are trying to make anything more out of it.... well..think it about it while you're sitting down.:GD:

One day - if I get really brave - I'll use the mens - just to see what the effect would be :heehee:
Be sure to post photos of "After" when you use the

As a GG, and from LA where anything is possible, I'd say go for the ladies' room for sure. The men's room is much more dangerous because massive amounts of testosterone are involved. If you pass, nobody will look twice - GGs are always looking at ourselves in the mirror anyway. I agree that you shouldn't linger, though. Get in and get out. And if you're not all that passable, what's a GG gonna do? There will be no fights started like in the men's room, especially if you go to a nice place. Be confident and do your thing.

I'm sure that, with enough chutzpah, it can be done - there are natal women here who've done it, for a start? But it takes a certain attitude (and it might help, being 6'3", or very pretty..)? :)

In West LA the mens room might have just as many people checking their makeup as in the ladies. :)

After my baby did me to a T today with the most awesome makeover, no one would bat at eye at me going in the ladies room! (by the way I am Brandi, jams girl!) She did the most wonderful job and i really could pass. The makeup is perfect and the clothes we can share! How cool is that? I wouldnt hesitate to sit and pee!:):):)

I supose I'm lucky that when I'm out with my partner we go together to the ladies, I did have a nasty experiance at an "erotic" exabition in London when someone called security and they thretened to throw me out, Strange realy as I was dressed in my business womans suite and there were people almost naked in chains ect, It just goes to show there are small minded people everywear!

It is not a question of passing, it is a question of presentation.
If you are presenting yourself as a female use the female toilets.
As said above just act naturally, in and out but if you need a make up touch up then why not.
without a doubt use the ladies room. and please don't forget to sit down that's a big boo boo if you stand. don't worry about passing, there's a lot of not so beautiful gg's in this world

Use the ladies room but take care of the business sitting like a lady. Either that or find a big tree outside to duck behind. On the comical side, if you go to the mens room and get caught and you still have the tooling, just show them your stuff unless it is a women. Then I guess you could always try to say that you're iliterate and went into the restroom.

Ladies room - try to wait and see if it is empty - whether it is or not - head in confidently go to the first available stall and proceed. Make sure you sit down and take care of business. Use toilet paper and act like you belong there. Good Luck........

And I also remember one woman offering to sell me her daughter ("Do you wanna buy a Goth?")..
Actually I'm looking for 2 (goths, that is) ... they'd make great bookends

All good statements about going in and taking care of your business and leaving, bu they have mirrors in there and I can not pass one with checking. I have used the ladies many times and I do not think I pass all that well but I try to blend and seem to be having a pretty good time of doing it. I have never had any problems in fact once I was in the waiting line inside the ladies room for several minutes and a GG actualy told me it was my turn. When I came out I went to the sink and wshed and dried my hands, touched up my hair quickly and freshened my lipstick all with out a problem. I was even the one to have an extra tissue for one of the girls in there who needed one. It was interesting listening to the story as just one of the girls. All of this happened while I was waiting and yes virgina it does take a lady longer to releive themselves thus a longer wait in line.

Back about 15 years ago when I was involved in Transpitt, we gathered at a gay bar for a Halloween party. I'd like to point out that I really didn't feel all that comfortable there, but that's another story -- not because of any anti-gay prejudice, but rather because I hate bars and don't drink, and it just wasn't my type of place.
Be that as it may, there was a mixed gay and lesbian crowd there. I was of course en femme. After a few diet Cokes, I needed the facilities. I went to enter the ladies just a GG was coming out. She looked at me in disgust and said 'Excuse me! This is the ladies!' in broad tone. I in turn gave her one a look that said 'Duh!' and gestured as if to say -- Do you see how I'm dressed!. She shook her head and walked away.
That's the only bad experience I ever had

If in a skirt or dress, then defenitely the ladies room. If in jeans, mens room would be Ok unless you have very definite female looks.

I regularly use the ladies room unless I'm with someone or someplace where I'm known only as male.
Just be confident and act like a lady. Go in, do your thing, wash your hands, check your make up and go.
